Latest past times

We were able to find some strong young men (thanks everyone!) to help move the piano down from Wallsburg to our new house! Yeah! Thank You Catherine for the piano, and thanks to everyone who helped up get it here! It has been the first thing that the kids ask to do in the morning. "Can we play the piano!"

This Sunday we got to go up to Grandma & Grandpa Shepherd's house and play outside. Reed liked just chillin with uncle Chance, and Marian loved following Aunt Jessie around. They all had fun when a couple of does came right up to Grandma's rock garden.

Grandma always has a supply of Root Beer for the kids :o) and Aunt Jessie got to supervise to make sure they didn't make a mess :o)

I know this picture is dark, but it was about 8pm or so, anyway here is Reed "mowing the lawn" with Jeff. Jeff is using our new Push lawn mower! We love it, it's quiet and lightweight, and doesn't take gas. It mowes the lawn even faster then one of those big heavy gas guzzling mowers and does just as good of a job, if not slightly better :o)

I don't know who feels more at home, the cat "Simba" or the kids now that they have a "pet" following them around the yard and house :o) Simba just came in one day and hopped up on Reed's bed and made himself at home. I can't belive that kitten I brought home from the vet office a few years ago is already 8 years old!

The deck

Well it has been about 3 weeks since we started the stain the deck project, and we are still on it. I think we are the reason this state has seen so much rain lately. All we need is 3-4 days of no rain to finish it, and we haven't had that for the past 3 weeks! All we have left now is the floor, and we want to make sure that is done when it is dry so it gets a really good seal! I really want to clean up the mess in our backyard and put everything back where it goes. Normally I would love this weather, and I hope it comes back, after 3-4 days, that's all we need! Oh well, it will get done sooner or later :o) Meanwhile I hope you all are have fun in the rain!
