New house :o) :oI

Well, the ball is rolling, and within the next month we should be the proud owners of a new home. Yep, we decided to cash in on the 8,000 Obama bucks and we are in the process of purchassing a house. It will still be in Orem, on 4th south (unfortunaly Payson or Wallsburg were out of the question). It is a nice 3 bed/3 bath house on .24 lot, with a large 2 car garage. :o) We are very excited, and very stressed! With a baby due in September, I hope all goes well. I am just glad that we will be moving before I hit 6 months this time :o) I am also very excited to be getting a piano!!! yeah! I want to teach my kids to play :o) We will also be living kitty corner to my parents. (we will have to see if this works out :o) j/k we think this will be a good move, and are now very overwhelmed with everything we have to do ( and pay for :o) I will have to put a pic of the house up when I can :o)

Pinewood Derby!

Last night my little brother Gabe had his Pinewood Derby for scouts. We came to watch and cheer him on, and unbeknowced to us my dad had entered him Reed into the open class at the end of the scouts racing. They had cars there from years past that the other kids could choose and race just like the cub scouts had. Reed had so much fun being able to race a car just like his uncle Gabe had. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!

We're all together again.....

My little brother Matthew arrived home off his mission yesterday! Yeah, and welcome home Matt! Reed and Marian weren't quite sure what to make of this extra uncle. Although they warmed up quite nicely after an hour or so. Reed also hwlped warm Matt up after several rounds of boxing and sword fighting :o) Matthew said he wasn't sleepy, but after playing with Reed and Marian, he said he thought he could now fall asleep :o) My kids know their job :o) He is home and already has a date for tonight! One of his good friends has been home for a few months and has been waiting for someone to double with him. So he had a date before he even got off the plane :o) One of these days he will have to take us on a tour of Portugal (that is one of the few places I would like to travel and go see, along with Spain) He gets to give his homecoming talk on this Sunday, so 9am church here we come :o) This is the first time in 6 years that my family has been all together, without someone on a mission. 4 marriages and (almost) 6 grandkids later, here we are :o)

Woody's adventure

The other day Marian was playing with a toy Woody doll from Toy Story. She was taking him into the bathroom and pretending that he was pooping in the toilet. I didn't think much of it, she did that a lot when she was playing with him. A few minutes later Reed comes running out of the bedroom saying "mom, come see what Bean's doing!" That normally means to I need to get in there fast. So up I jumped and I ran in to see what Bean was doing. I found her standing by the changing table with her hands covered in Triple (which is a diaper rash ointment). I started walking towards her telling her no, then I glanced up on the table itself. I saw poor Woody covered in Triple. Then Marian turned to me and said "Woody poop". I called Jeff in to see what she had done and we both walked out to clean up the mess, trying hard not to laugh.:o) Woody had pooped in the toilet and now she was just trying to be a good mom and clean him up :o) It is very hard to get that ointment off things, and it's scary to think that she can now open lids that are screwed on, but nice to know she will be a big helper :o) On another side note, I got some hot dogs for the kids the other day and Reed loves them! But Marian is slightly confused. She calls them "puppy dogs" :o) When she sees Reed eating one she says "mom, puppy dog too!" :o) oh dear :o)

#3

For those who already know, this is a you can finally tell othes, for those who don't know, lets hope you check out my blog :o) Yes I am pregnant. I am 12 weeks along and finally starting to get over some of the morning sickness that I have had this time. With Marian it wasn't quite this bad, but this time... for the past 2 weeks I have survived on Fruit Loops and Noodles & Company. I am now starting to feel a little more tired during the day, which is also diffrent from the other two. With them I was exhausted at week 6 or 7 and this time I really haven't had a problem with that too much. I have gotten to hear the heartbeat last monday. That is really one of my favorite things. Seeing the ultrasound, hearing the heartbeat, and feeling it move inside me are the things that help me get through the nine months of feeling fat and tired and hungry. One funny note is my brother Josh's wife is also expecting, she is due in July, (I am about 10 weeks behind her) and then this past Sunday Brittany also announced that she too is expecting. She is about 6 weeks behind me. So 3 out of the 4 women in the family who can have kids, are. :o) This should be a fun hormone filled next few months :o) It will be nice to have cousins all that close in age though :o) Congrats to all :o)
p.s. if you scroll down you can see some neat count down calenders :o)

Here is daddy "reading" the look and find barn book, one of Marian's favorites! We look at it at least 2-3 times a day :o) A funny story: on Sunday we were at my parent's house and when we got there we found their cat "Boo" playing with a mouse that was mostly dead. She then later ate it when we came out to check on her. Reed was concerned that she had eaten one of uncle Ammon's hampsters. He was happy to see that that wasn't the case as Ammon brought them over later that night :o)

Sick kids

Cough cough, sneeze, cough, followed by a nose whip and a whine "I'm sick". That is what we have had for the past few days. Both Marian and Reed have had fevers and have only wanted to sit in my lap and be rocked. That is fine for part of the day, just not the whole day. Most of the time they spend the day watching movies or cartoons in our bed. Humidifiers are going all day long so the dry air from the heaters doesn't make them cough more. Now that I am feeling run down, after 3-4 times of getting up in the night to get more water or give a kiss or take to the bathroom, I have started to sneeze and my nose has been getting a little more stuffy. Oh well, I guess we'll see how the things go. Anyway that has been life at our house for the past few days. I hope everyone else that I know who is sick gets better fast too!
