1 week old!

Wow, my heart is just so full as I look back on this last week.  I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have this little baby to cuddle with and love all the time.  Lincoln has pretty much slept this whole week, making the transition much easier than I thought it would be.  He just melts my heart and reminds me of the little babies that Liam and Lance used to be.  I am cherishing every little moment with him, because I know how quickly he will grow and change.  I never thought I would say this but I LOVE being up with him in the middle of the night for feedings.  I love that I have him all to myself and it is so quiet and peaceful.  I also love watching Martha Stewart when I am up in the middle of the night, it is nice to watch anything other than Diego, George or Max and Ruby.  Lincoln is a little sweetheart, I just love him.  I feel so grateful for our 3 boys.  I am also grateful for a sweet husband who has been so willing to help with anything this week.  When he went back to work he kept calling me and calling me to check up on us.  He is the best.  Lastly, Rob and I feel so grateful for all of our wonderful family, neighbors and friends that have brought by meals, treats, notes, gifts and have helped watch Liam and Lance.  Wow, that is why my heart is sooooo full!  So here are some 1 week pictures of Lincoln.  Thanks mom for helping me take the pictures, you are hired for all of my future photo sessions!

I just had to share this next picture, Lincoln has the biggest smile I can't believe I captured it!  I can't wait for real smiles:)

Lincoln Manning Henriksen!

We are excited to share pictures of our sweet little boy, Lincoln Manning Henriksen!  He was born on Thursday Oct. 15th at 5:41 pm.  He weighed in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 21" long!  He is our smallest baby so far.  The labor and delivery went smoothly except for the last 40 min. when I dilated 6 cm!  I hope all the people that I yelled at during those 40 minutes have forgiven me by now.  There is nothing that compares to the incredible experience of childbirth.  Our hearts are so full of love for this little guy, it is amazing.  I will never forget the look on Liam & Lance's face when they met their little brother for the first time last night.  They could not come to the hospital because of the new visitor restrictions.  So they waited patiently to meet him and they were so thrilled to hold him in their arms.  Does it get any sweeter than that?  We are just so full of gratitude for our 3 precious boys that bring so much joy to our lives!

You always have to get a before picture!  I am so glad at least half of that big belly is gone now:)
I was so afraid Liam was going to be confused and ask if there was another baby in my belly when I got home last night but he politely said, "Mommy your belly looks smaller."  What a sweetie!

Rob is so proud of his little boy!

Both sets of Grandparents have already helped us out so much!

Too cute!

Lance holding Lincoln for the 1st time!

Liam holding Lincoln for the 1st time.  Liam has had a huge smile on his face since Lincoln got home, I need to write down all the cute little things he has said.  He is just waiting for me to ask him to do anything to help, let's hope this lasts!

1 week to go.....

I can't believe I am having a baby in 1 week from today!

The baby's room....

There is something so fun about putting together a room for a new baby! At first when I found out I was having ANOTHER BOY I thought it would not be that fun to put together a boy room for the 3rd time. However, one day I was just walking past the room and all of these decorating ideas came into my mind. All of a sudden I had a plan and I was really excited! The first project was to re-paint the dresser that I have had since I was a little girl. It was too girly (with flowers on it) so I decided to paint it blue and I love it! Then I decided to re-paint the crib red. I have never really liked that crib but I thought I could put up with it for one more baby if I painted it. Rob actually helped me with all of these projects, so I should say "we" instead of "I". Then we painted the walls a tan color instead of white, but we left the green stripe. Lastly we hung some curtains and the paintings that I painted back in August. I love how the room feels so different - even though everything is being used for the 3rd time! I proved myself wrong and I am still surprised at how much fun it was to decorate for a boy again! So here are some pictures of the room.... The only thing missing are pictures of the baby on the wall!

I wanted to show the next few pictures just for fun.... They are some of the little things that make up the baby's room. It is crazy how many little things babies need. It is a huge chore stocking a baby's room and it is a good feeling to finally be ready for the little guy!

Isn't this a cute little Halloween costume...

Don't all babies deserve to sleep on something as soft and fluffy as this little lamb....

The diaper bag is packed and ready to go!

My mom helped me sew these burp rags, she is awesome!

Lastly, this is totally random but after 3 1/2 years living in our house I finally figured out what to do with the empty wall over my washer and dryer.... I turned it into an art exhibit with my kid's art work! Why didn't I think of this sooner?

Sept. in a nutshell

Sept. just flew by. This pregnancy has flown by. Life is moving too fast! I can't believe I am going to have another baby in less than 2 weeks! I am going to be induced on Oct. 14th, crazy! I have been meaning to post pictures of the baby's room so I hope to do that this week. But in the meanwhile I thought I would sum up the month of Sept.......

Soccer.... lots of soccer games & sadly Liam's last game is this Tuesday. Rob has been an awesome coach. He is so patient and encouraging with the kids.

Nesting Instinct Craziness..... I am a nesting freak, and it seems to get worse with each pregnancy. AHHHHH, why me? For example, I touched up all the little imperfections on my walls, went through and organized my entire house and garage, scrubbed the house clean, have half of my Christmas shopping done.... I am going to stop there.

Canning..... I just did the basics to get my family by this year... We love Pear Jam and canned pears, and I made salsa for the first time. Rob loves home made salsa and can't stop eating it! I caught him eating some straight out of a jar with a spoon today like it was applesauce or something - weird. I had hopes of doing a lot more canning but my back was killing me after the first night of canning so I changed my mind.

Trying to get some fun outings in before it gets too cold.... swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Henriksens, lots of bike rides, the Dinosaur Museum, lots of time at the park, some fun Birthday parties...

Calling changes..... After pulling off our 3rd Primary Program on Sept. 13th I was released from my calling as Primary President. That was absolutely my favorite calling I have ever had & probably will ever have. I LOVE all the kids so much. I can't express my gratitude for all of the wonderful experiences I had in Primary and the friendships that were made there. Rob was called to be the new Elder's Quorum President in our ward the same week I was released! He had to get up for a 7:00 am meeting and I just laughed as I was able to sleep in! Now it is his turn! He will do a great job! I already received a new calling.... Compassionate Service Leader. It is weird to be back in Relief Society, I am trying to adjust because I miss the kids so much. Check out the picture of the 25 pizzas Rob picked up for our Pizza Party after our Primary Program Practice. What a sweet husband I have to pick all those up!

Well here are some pictures from Sept....
