A great visit with bro, sis-in-law, and nephew

My brother and sister-in-law along with my sweet nephew, Kyan, came into town this past weekend.  We had a great time, but ofcourse if went by way too fast!  Kyan did great, as I thought all the kids had fun and did well.  We ate way too much food and Matt and Andrea introduced us to Andy's Frozen Custard.  That is heaven on earth, let me tell ya!!!

Here are Wade and Kyan at Carson's basketball game.

Here is Carson with his costume on that Matt and Andrea gave him for Christmas.Andrea and Matt are expecting again and are about 14 weeks along I think?  She is about  7 or 8 weeks behind me.  We can't wait to find meet this newest addition to our family as well!

Thanks again Matt and Andrea for coming!  It was so fun, hope we can get together again soon!

We're Having a...........

BOY!!!

Yes, you read right - we will be a house full of testosterone and I will be "queen of the castle"! We are very excited though and were so relieved to hear that the baby is developing beautifully so far. We had a great ultrasound report and loved seeing our beautiful boy in such detail. Carson is so excited about having a boy and Callahan doesn't quite get it all, but just told me that he wants me to get the baby out of my tummy. Thanks for playing along with the vote/poll, it was fun for us to check it!

We have also decided on a name...

Crosby Michael Ramer

Wade has pretty much come up with the names of all three boys, of course with my approval. I really liked this name the first time I heard it. All of our boys have family middle names, so we wanted to do another family middle name for this one too to carry on the tradition. Michael obviously is after me, but I am named after my grandfather too.

So here is a profile picture of our sweet boy, Crosby...(you can click on it to enlarge it).

Voting Open: Boy or Girl?

Okay blogger family and friends, just for fun I thought I would do a poll for what you think our baby's gender is. You can vote over to the right side...see it? My ultrasound is scheduled for Wednesday, so the voting is only open until 4:00 pm that day. I'll post the news later on that day, so we'll see if the majority vote wins! Thanks for playing along for my amusement!

Carson turns 7!

Carson turned 7 on Friday, the 15th! It is hard to believe we have a 7 year old now! We had a great day, even though he had to go to school. I took him McDonald's for lunch and ate with him - I'm going to take advantage of these years that he asks me to come eat with him at school because I know that won't last long! That evening we opened presents and went to eat dinner wherever Carson chose. He chose Taco Bell - he loves their tacos. Here is our boy on his big birthday...

Callahan is already getting a little jealous of the baby, I think. Lately when I take a picture with him or he sits with me, he wants me to hold him like a baby. Uh oh!

Carson got a magnetic dart board from Mimi and Papa - he loves it!

Wade and the boys had more fun throwing around the popcorn packaging from Mimi and Papa's gift than anything else! They were throwing it around like confetti. Thankfully Callahan does NOT like messes and so later on after we finished opening presents, I went back into the den and saw him cleaning up all of it. He said "Daddy made a big mess!"

We got Carson a castle for his birthday. Can you tell the excitement when they saw it in the picture?? They were both jumping up and down and screaming for joy! Callahan thought all the presents were for him too. He ran over to Wade and I both after he saw this and gave us each a big hug around our legs and said "thank you!!!".

Yesterday, we took Carson and 3 of his little friends (two from school now and one from preschool) along with another friend from school (his parents brought him) to a family fun place here called Fast Lane. It's got Laser Tag, bowling, arcades, and indoor go carts. It is a really fun place! But let me tell you, Wade and I were both reaching for the Tylenol when we got home....lots of fun, but very stimulating!!

The boys got to ride indoor go carts....that was a first for most of them since Fast Lane is a new place here in NW Arkansas.

The boys playing a really cool Nascar racing game. We had 5 boys, but thankfully, one boy did not want to play this - good thing since there were only 4 cars!

We had never seen this cool metal ball thing (have no idea what the name of it is) that little ones can use to help roll their ball. It was a lifesaver for Callahan because on his first bowl, it took about 2 minutes for the ball to make it down to the pins. Then we discovered this cool thing which worked wonders!

We love chocolate cupcakes!

Callahan giving Wade a high-five. He had a lot of fun too!

Kyan's Fight

This is my precious and adorable nephew, Kyan Michael Scott. He is 2 1/2 years old. He has a diagnosis of Autism. He has been on a Glutein Free/Casein Free diet, takes a TON of supplements, receives B-12 injections twice per week, and receives Early Intervention therapy services. He has made tremendous progress in less than a year. He hasn't even had his diagnosis for a year and I cannot even tell you how far he has come. His mommy and daddy are the BIGGEST reasons for that, as they are his advocates and work with him daily!

My brother and sister-in-law have just created a web-site for him. It's www.kyansfight.com

Please visit his site at anytime and feel free to post them a comment. I am asking you to remember this sweet boy in your prayers when you think or hear of the word Autism. Please also pray for all children being diagnosed or who are diagnosed with Autism as it is an epidemic affecting 1 in 90 (I think that's right) children in America today. The treatments, including diet, bio-medical intervention, and therapies are EXTREMELY expensive - so pray that there will be more government funding to families for assistance in recovering their precious children. Thank you for reading this post and I hope you can visit Kyan's site soon! You won't regret it!

preggo pic

Here is my expanding belly at 18 1/2 weeks. I turn 19 weeks tomorrow and we will find out what the baby's gender is on January 20th - in about a week and a half. Just for fun, I will post a poll on my blog to vote on if you think it's a boy or a girl. So be looking for that in the next weekish if you want to vote!

December moments

Just some moments in December that I thought I'd blog about. Here are the boys...we were watching a football game one night and caught this moment. Callahan had gotten up on the couch with Carson and was trying to lay with him and watch the game.

This is my old desk I got for my 5th birthday that my parents brought to us last summer. It was in our play room and Carson asked to move it to his bedroom. I'm glad he suggested it, because he has used it so much more now! Here they are playing with Carson's little computer he got last year from my mom and dad. Callahan just hangs out with Carson like he is just as big.

A few days before Christmas, Callahan would cry all the time to open his presents (it seemed like all the time anyway). So Carson felt sorry for him (I guess) and asked me if he could make a present for Cal. Here is what he came up with...

It was so funny watching the whole present giving, unwrapping, etc. Carson just told Callahan in a much excited voice, "I don't want that toy anymore" on all the little toys he wrapped up.

We played hide and seek a lot over the Christmas break. Here is Cal's clever spot...

Carson sat perfectly still here in his hiding spot - it was pretty funny!

Here is Callahan and I cooking, he is really into cooking lately with me! Thanks Greg and Jaren for my new apron - I love it!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year with the boys. They were both so fun to do Christmas with this year as they are at such great ages for it. They both got so excited about their presents and it was a lot of fun for us to watch them. We did Christmas from "santa" and us and Mimi and Papa on Christmas Eve since we were leaving for West Memphis that day to have Christmas with Wade's family. It was the first Christmas we have not had at home in a few year, and wouldn't you know it...it was a white Christmas here!! Go figure!

Carson got Battleship and I had forgotten how fun of a game it is!

Carson helping Callahan open his present he got him....he got him a slinky.

The boys got Super Mario Kart from Mimi and Papa for Christmas and they LOVE it. Thanks Mimi and Papa!

Thanks Mimi and Papa for the Lincoln Logs too...Cal was proud of them.

Here are the 3 "look alikes" on Christmas - Wade, Cal, and his dad.

Carson, Callahan, and Ellie all got shirts this year! Greg and Jaren hit the jackpot getting Cal an Imagination Movers (it's a playhouse disney show he is obsessed with) t-shirt with his name on it!

I thought this picture was cute of Callahan and Ellie playing with her baby doll we got her.

Pappy playing his traditional "secret santa", at the end of opening presents. He always brings out a few extras that santa "forgot."

Poor Ellie pushing Callahan around on HER new toy...she didn't complain though and seemed to somewhat enjoy pushing her big cousin around.

Here are Wade's aunts and uncles on his mom's side. All of them were there except for two. They are a pretty fun group, and the house doesn't have a dull, quiet moment when their all together!

Carson and Ellie, hanging out in her new Elmo couch.

Here are Wade and Greg with some of their cousins.

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!
