Christmas Part II - A Scott Christmas

Mom and Dad came for Christmas this year, but my brother and sister spent the holidays with their in-law's families. It was a really great Christmas, although we missed the rest of the family. My parents flew in from Houston on Christmas Eve and that was really fun. We went to Christmas Eve service at our church and they had it on the town square which was really fun because afterward we walked straight out to the square downtown and it was all lit up with a million Christmas lights, christmas music, horse drawn carriage rides, camel rides, and a miniature horse carousel for children. It was like being in a movie! Here are some of the pictures from Christmas eve...roll 'em...

My dad brought the boys these eye glasses he got from a work conference. The boys loved them and I even found Carson using it in his room late on Christmas eve after he had been tucked in to bed. He said he was looking for Santa!

Santa came!

Mimi, Carson, and Callahan going through their stockings and santa stuff.

Here's Carson giving me a big kiss when I opened the first present of Christmas. It was an ornament with a picture of him from Kindergarten and a bracelet he made me at school. He was sooo excited to give me my present that he was jumping up and down. He had brought him home a week before Christmas and it was all he could do to not totally tell me what it was, although he let a few helpful hints slip. He talked about it everyday and asked if I was excited about opening it. I loved it and it was the best Christmas present ever!

Thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Andrea for the truck hauler for Carson and the Mega Blocks one for Callahan. Here's Cal playing with the one for Carson! They really liked both of them.

Goofballs!

Mom sporting her new fancy jacket - isn't she cute?

Here's Carson with all his new clothes and toys from Uncle Jason and Aunt Shelley. Thank you guys! He was so proud of everything you got him. Can you tell?

Carson and Cal playing in the car that Aunt Shelley and Uncle Jason sent Callahan, which was filled with balls. They LOVE this and play with it everyday!

Wade and Carson playing his new NFL football game.

Carson and Callahan got new Cowboy ROMO jerseys. They were so excited!! Carson couldn't wait to put his on. This year was definitely a Dallas Cowboys Christmas. Too bad it didn't bring them any luck - better luck next year!

We literally spend the whole day opening presents. We started with the santa stuff in the morning, then ate a yummy breakfast, then opened presents, then stopped for a few hours for Cal to take a nap, then opened some more while dinner was cooking. It was so fun...we drug it out because we stopped to take toys out of boxes and put things together since the boys just couldn't wait. It was really fun though and if you think about it, Christmas is all day anyway so what's the rush right?
We enjoyed every minute of your time here Mimi and Papa and thank you for spending Christmas with us!

Christmas Part I - A Ramer Christmas

We had Christmas with Wade's family this past weekend. We had a great time and we all got spoiled! Here is Carson with a shirt - you would think that he wouldn't be happy about getting clothes, but he LOVES clothes and picks out all his outfits. He especially liked this shirt because it was green (his favorite color) and had a race car on it.

Callahan got a golf set from his aunt Jaren and uncle Greg.

Uncle Greggy helping Callahan putt. Cal loved his new golf set - thank you Greg and JJ!

Carson was ecstatic about this present to say the least!! His Nana and Pappy bought him a Dallas Cowboys uniform set complete with a helmet, jersey, and football pants. We ironed on the number.. he picked 81 - T.O. He jumped up and down over this present and has worn it for the last 3 days. The first night he went to bed, he put his helmet down on the floor by his bed. When Wade went in to check on him later that night, he was asleep with his helmet on his pillow next to him. He LOVES his uniform and is very proud of it!

Wade got a shirt to match Carson from Greg and Jaren...too bad it didn't bring the Cowboys luck on Saturday night against Baltimore!

Callahan had more fun getting all the wrapping paper trash together and throwing it in the trash! He wanted everyone to open their presents fast just so he could have something to throw away.

He really wasn't into any presents and only trash until he got this...

Nana and Pappy got him his first barn set and he played it for quite a while. He really loves it! Thank you Pappy and Nana!

We got Ellie Jane her first purse set! It came complete with keys, a phone, and a mirror - what else could a girl want, except lipstick of course...
We got her other stuff, but I was not on my game with picture taking - too much to take pictures of I guess. She was fun to buy for since she's the only little girl on both sides of our family - so we enjoyed the first of "girly" stuff this year.

We got Greg a North Face back pack - he was pretty excited to sport his cool look to optometry school!

Here's Nana with her bling bling we got her.

Here's Pappy with his two favorite gifts this year, a calendar specially designed with pictures of Ellie Jane for each month from Greg and Jaren and a picture frame of the boys. These presents brought some tears!

Wade's dad usually does a "secret santa" every year - here he is passing out the secrets!

Jaren and me with our new purses from Wade's parents - Coach's. I think I had a coach purse in high school, but it's been a long time. We were both really excited and are now stylin'!

We had a great Christmas with the Ramer clan and got way too much stuff! The boys are still having a blast with all their toys. It's been fun for them to occupy their time with new stuff while counting down the days until Santa comes. Thank you guys and it was definitely the best Christmas yet!

Our Visit With Santa

We went to see Santa tonight and the boys did great. Callahan waved to Santa before sitting on his lap, but once we put him in his lap he immediately had the "deer caught in the headlights" look. We were just glad that he didn't cry. He was just a little unsure as you can see below.

"C" is for Cookie

My boys LOVE sweets. Especially Callahan. He ADORES, OBSESSES, and YEARNS for cookies and candy on a daily basis. He had a screaming crying fit this morning because he wanted "cookies" for breakfast....I have to admit, I caved and let him have some, but he did have a plate full of waffles and bacon in my defense. But once that cookie was gone, wow, crocodile tears and cries for "more cookie" were exploding from his little body! So, Carson taught Callahan this song from Sesame Street. You may have seen it before..."C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me". It's really cute and I got a little bit on video this morning before Callahan tried to come look at the camera.

Snowmen Fun!

Since it didn't snow like it was supposed to today here, Wade brought home some indoor blow up snowmen from work for the boys to play with. I think that they loved them more than the real thing!! They've been hugging, tackling, and punching them down all evening!
