Kids, 5k, and a new cousin!

Emma is not a fan of this great little helper of mine...our Roomba.
She freaks out when it gets near her but at the same time she wants to watch it...from my arms.
My brother wasn't using it anymore so he gave it to us.
We had to get a new battery and a new cleaning kit with filters and stuff for it.  It seems to work great and it helps me out a ton.

Grayson loves helping Emma do things.
She looks so cute sitting in this little chair, and she loves pushing the buttons on a keyboard.
This is my new nephew little Joe.  He is adorable and seems to be a great baby.  My brother and sister in law have 2 babies now, their eldest is 14 mths old and is a handful as most toddlers are.
Look at my sweet little one!  She is adorable and is really getting a fun yet challenging personality.

She seems to get mad when I take something she shouldn't have these days or when she wants down she throws her self backwards.
She can be hard to hold these days.
She is still my little hip partner and follows me everywhere.
We went to Mississippi 2 weekends in a row, the first weekend was for my new nephews baby blessing at church and te 2nd weekend we went to walk with my cousin Heidi Green who has breast cancer in a 5K.  She had a team of about 50 people.  There were a ton of people walking and about 6 people(2 of them were Lindsey and Josh) running the 5K.  Our 2 kids walked/rode on the stroller the 3.4 miles.  They were cold, worn out and whinney.

The Ole Brook Festival was this particular weekend too so after the walk and after Clay brought the kids some warm clothes we enjoyed some chicken on a stick from our scouts, funnel cakes, shopping and fun activities for the kids.  I use to be able to do things like this but not anymore!

Latest DIY Projects!!

Since I have a "house" now, I have had so much fun decorating, making things and finding things to make!
I found a piece of furniture online and Clay built it for me!
His hobby is building so I am finding lots of things for him to do.

Both Grayson and Kennedy helped me paint it!
Let me tell you, this is my first project that involves painting and it was the most time consuming, tedious thing ever.
I understand why people spray paint now and I will definitely take that route next time and see how it goes!
This is Grayson at his best!!  LOL
This is it!!  What do you think?
 What I did!!
I painted it cream(that step was unnecessary)
then I painted it a teal color, I streaked the cream paint mixed with water over the whole thing, I took some sand paper and distressed the edges, then I took some polyurethane/stain mixed and went over the whole piece, which turned it a darker teal!

Here is a closer shot of the distressed edges.

We bought the baskets half off at Hobby Lobby.
We are going to put some hooks to hang coats and backpacks on.
I have to find some deeper baskets for the bottom shelf, maybe to put shoes in!  Clay build drawers for the 3 cubbys but they were sooo heavy that I am not going to use them.
I had this little nook that we built this furniture specifically for!
I love the way it turned out.  I had no clue what I was doing but I love the "old" look it has and I am quiet proud of myself!

 FALL, FALL, FALL!!!
I love decorating my house!
It has been so much fun having room to do things and not being cluttered!
This is my Mantle, I made the "spooky" banner after my friend Marji...of coarse she has a silhouette and I don't...YET!
Sooo...I had to improvise and used stencils and paint for the letters and I had to hand cut everything!
I still don't have my big family pic above my mantle.  I can't wait to get that space filled!
This wreath is another copy from Marji, she is a great crafter!
Lots of my Arkansas friends are great crafters.
I put my own twist on it but the original idea was from her.
I have double front doors so I had to do 2 wreaths.
I have a neighbor that wanted to make one too so we did them together.  She reminds me of myself 2 yrs ago when I was non-crafty(if that's even a word)...she thinks I am the craftiest person around and I know that makes my "girls" laugh!!  :-)
Isn't this little witch hat the cutest?  I love it!

Emma pics and her ER visit!

Emma seems to love the little kitchen that Kennedy got yrs ago.
I am glad that it will get some use since Kennedy didn't really play with it much.

Kennedy loves to help in the kitchen but I guess the pretend kitchen just doesn't cut it.

Emma loves getting something and then she taps it on the floor to make noise...See that little spoon in her hand?  That's what she is doing with it...tapping it on the hardwood floor.

She is all over the place and is very quick too.
She pulls up on everything and seems to be fearless like the other 2 kids were and still are.

Kennedy loves Emma, I hope that they stay bffs.
Kennedy plays with Emma all the time.  She dressed her in the chef hat.

She gave her a pretend cookie (I think it was actually a hamburger patty) and Emma was happy.

Last night a neighbor/friend and I were making Halloween wreaths at my house.  Clay bathed Emma and was getting her dressed in Kennedy's room and Emma fell off of Kennedy's bed.  Her bed is pretty high up and Emma fell on her head.  She started crying but it was a weird cry, I heard her crying so I went to check on her and Clay told me what happened.
Emma then started gagging and trying to throw up.  She calmed down and immediately started to go to sleep, it was like she couldn't hold her eyes open.  She turned sheet white and I then started to get worried.  Clay got his shoes on and we headed to the ER.
I strapped her in the seat belt with me(pls don't lecture me on this), so I could make sure she was ok.  Because we didn't know if she had a head injury or what I wanted her in my arms.
We called my cousin Jason, he is an ER Doctor and he made us feel better when he told us that the way she responded to the fall was typical and that everything was probably fine.  We finally got checked in after 45 minutes but we couldn't get into a room.  Emma took a couple of cat naps during those 4 hrs but when she was awake she was acting just fine, she was laughing, playing, wanting to get down, nursing and just being herself.  After much thought Clay and I felt that she was just fine and so we left.
I have a distant cousin that just lost her 2 yr old little girl in a freak accident.  An ATV feel off of a trailer and hit her in her temple and killed her.  It was a freak accident but this little girl has been on my mind a lot since last weekend.  I know you guys don't know this family but if you want to keep them in your prayers they are the Papp family!
When Emma fell it freaked me out and I couldn't imagine my life without my baby girl and I thank my Heavenly Father for letting her be ok!
This is us leaving the hospital.
Clay gave Emma a blessing too.  I am so glad that my baby is ok.

Thanks to my friend Rachel for staying with our kids till 11:30.  Its a blessing to be surrounded by people that are willing to help.

This is the morning after Emma's fall.  Kennedy is a miniature momma to Emma.  She loves her so much and loves taking care of her.

Sisterly love!

Its amazing the attachment that these 2 had from the moment Emma was born.
Kennedy had a really hard time with her baby sister being in the hospital right after birth due to her jaundice.  Kennedy seemed very stressed during this time.  Now I see the bond they have and how much they both love each other.  Emma will sit in Kennedy's lap for a long time, she is like her second momma!  I hope they always stay this close.

SWEET SISTERS!!

Snaggle!!

Kennedy recently lost another tooth.  She now has 2 teeth missing at the bottom.
The tooth fairy brought her 4 quarters at the request of Kennedy.

Kennedy has been pulling her own teeth which is great for Clay and I.  Clay just cringes when she wiggles one.
She must just play with them till they fall out.

This little beauty just got the same 2 teeth that her big sister lost!
We laughed when we realized this.  We told Kennedy that the tooth fairy must of given Emma her 2 bottom teeth!
My 2 beautiful girls are growing up so fast.

Where has the time gone??

This sweet little girl of mine turned 8 mths old yesterday.
She is a bundle of joy and is full of energy.
She is crawling EVERYWHERE, and is getting bumps and bruises already.

She loves to look in the mirror at herself.
Every morning I sit her on the bathroom counter and fix her hair as she gets into everything her little hands can reach.

She is climbing on everything and can get out of your site in seconds now!
She is still a very happy, laid back, but energetic little 8 mth old

Emma has really started to love her snacks.
She can pick them up with her fingers but she can't quite get them into her mouth so this is how she gets them....

she picks them up with her mouth!
You can't tell very well but that is what she is doing.

She loves her daddy...

but mostly when mommy isn't around.
Daddy spends lots of time with all of the kids and they all adore him...Emma just knows who has her food supply!  :-)

I think Emma was trying to tell me she wanted Roman Noodles this night.
I was putting up groceries as she drug them out, she was lots of help.

I took Emma and Grayson to the Doctor today b/c they both have been feeling bad. Grayson has Strep and Emma just has a nasty cold. It was our first time to go to the Doctor since we have moved here and Emma hasn't had immunizations since her 2 mths shots so they gave her the 4 mths shots plus a flu shot. She was so mad and hasn't felt well today

Tonight I let Emma play in the tub for a really long time, she absolutely loves taking a bath.
She loves to roam around in the buff...I couldn't resist taking some sweet naked baby pictures.

I was trying to hurry and get some shots before she peed on Kennedy's bed.  She tends to do that pretty often but I got the diaper on before she did this time

The time is just flying by with this little one.  I am enjoying every minute of it.  I think she is the only baby I have ever had that I continue to say I would totally go back to Jan 30 and have her all over again...I miss her being a baby even though I feel like I have really embraced every moment with her.
