Neighborhood Preschool

For this year, a couple moms from our neighborhood did a little preschool and took turns teaching each week.  It was a lot of fun and pretty easy to do.  However, it did make me have a greater appreciation for those teachers that do it everyday with more than just 4 kids!

This was from my last day teaching.  I taped all of the letters to the floor and we danced around them and played different games with the letters.  It was a lot of fun.

And here are the kiddos that were in our class.  Ryder and all the girls.  I think he had fun with them, but I know the girls were a little disappointed when they found out that I didn't have any princess dress ups at my house!

End of May

I have been really bad at keeping caught up on my blog lately.  This summer has really put a kink in my day, especially with Paxton not taking a nap anymore.  That kid has to be watched like a hawk or else we're in big trouble.

May wasn't too busy of a month, except for school getting out, or that was the only pictures that I took the whole month.

Paxton graduated from preschool and will be moving on to Kindergarten.  It was a day filled with a lot of different emotions.  I told the bus driver that I couldn't cry today and I did pretty good except for getting a little teary-eyed when I was taking pictures with Paxton's teacher and aides.  They were so good to him this year and I loved that I was able to help out in the class a lot this year.

Paxton's Preschool

Paxton started preschool a couple weeks ago. He is going to the same school as last year with the same teacher. We are excited for all he is going to be doing this year and he is so excited to ride the bus again.

Schools Out!

This last week has been pretty busy. I hopefully will get caught up on posting everything soon, but with school out I don't have as much time alone without little ones distracting me every second. I am exciteed to have school over for the summer but also a little worried about keeping my kids entertained all day long. Paxton qualified for preschool during the summer, so we are really glad for that.

Paxton had his "graduation" even though he still will be going to preschool at least another year. They sang a cute song and handed out their certificates. Paxton was really excited to see Mark and I walk into his classroom and I was impressed that he actually sat through the whole program. He was being funny, making silly faces and shaking his head back and forth, he reminded me a lot of Conner. He really has a funny little personality. It made me laugh.
Afterwards they had a little carnival. Paxton loved the water guns and if I wasn't watching would run off with them and shoot whoever he could find.

Paxton's preschool went really well this year. I felt so much more involved, although I wish I could have gone into his class more. But I like that I had some interaction with his teachers. I felt like I knew a lot more of what he was doing every day.

Paxton's New Preschool

Paxton started a new preschool this week. I decided that it would be best to have my kids at the same school this year, instead of keeping Paxton at the preschool he went to last year. Although we loved the teacher, aides, and the bus driver and aides, we will miss them.

I have meet with his new teacher and aides a few times already and I really think that they will be good for Paxton. The preschool is fairly new at this school but I have been impressed so far. It is really hard to not get any feedback from Paxton, but he seems to come home happy. It has been a little bit rough this week getting back into the swing of going to school every day and a new schedule.

Paxton's Preschool

I have been meaning to post this forever and keep forgetting about it. Paxton finished preschool the last week in May. His preschool got to go on a lot of field trips and they took tons of picture at them and also everyday during preschool. At the end of the year they sent home a cd with all the pictures of Paxton for me.
For one field trip they went to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. When I picked him up from school that day, they told me that he had so much fun. He LOVED to play in the sand and dig for the dinosaur bones, (which was no surprise to me, this kid loves sand!)

Paxton with an aide, Jen

The whole class got in on the fun of burying Paxton in the sand and he loved it!

I guess they learned how much Paxton loves Oreos and what a good mess he can make with them.

This was on a field trip to Maceys with aide, Lacy

I am guessing this is PT time, running around in the gym

These are the "dreaded" nesting cups. We have been working on this forever, and I literally mean FOREVER!

I'm guessing that he is a penguin.

Coloring Easter eggsThey went on a field trip to the Bean Museum and then bowling.

Another field trip to the fire station.

I love this one, especially the look on Paxton's face looking up at the man. Love It!
Practicing Stop, Drop and Roll!

He looks a little scary here!

Playing on the playground at school.

The last field trip they went on was to a small farm in Springville, fishing, and then to Salem ponds to feed the ducks. Paxton absolutely love it! They told me that he had so much fun and was so excited to do everything.

Conner's Preschool Graduation

We went to Conner's preschool graduation on Thursday. Mark's parents came up for it but my parents were on vacation so they missed it. It turned out really cute and the kids all did a really good job. His teacher, Mrs. Jackie, is amazing. I am so glad that I was able to find this preschool for him. It has been really good to get him ready for kindergarten and meet some new friends.

They sang a bunch of really cute songs and had little dances for each one. This was one of my favorites, so I had him perform it so I could video tape it, since my video cameras battery was dead at the program.

This was about a river and they had some good actions for it. I wish I had the video camera for this one. There was a little boy behind Conner that was really into it and I was laughing so hard. This song was "I love America, Yes I do!"Here Conner is getting his graduation certificate and taking a bow.

Paxton's latest field trip

Add ImageThe day before Paxton's surgery, he went on the last field trip of the school year. They went to the fish hatchery, Salem Ponds, and somewhere else, but I cannot remember where. All of the kids caught a fish and they fileted it and got it ready for everyone to cook. So here is Pac getting ready to eat his little fish. His teacher and the aides all said that he had so much fun and he was exhausted when I picked him up off the bus.
