Livingston Reunion

Here is everyone gathered for the FAMILY FUN activity! We had a great talent show! Makenna and Hillary blew EVERYONE away with singing WICKED. Wow! I wish my voice was like theirs. Then Carter sang us some mellow tunes on his guitar. It was just a really fun evening.

Carden and I decided to drive up for two days to see all the cousins at Lake Tulloch. It was so much fun and I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to get back to teach dance. It was great seeing everyone, going out on the lake, and playing with all the cousins. We ate such GOOD food! It was so nice having a break from cooking and cleaning and being in an apartment. Oh how I am so sick of being in an apartment and we still have TWO years left of school. But anyways, we had a great time. I'm sad I didn't take more pictures and especially get a cousin picture, but oh well.

Another day

This morning we decided to eat our breakfast outside on our fun little table! Carden loves sitting in his own little chair. All day he just climbs around on the chairs!

Carden is also in love with this little red car. He loves opening and shutting the door as well as driving with the steering wheel. He thought the horn was fun to eat! He is so silly.

Good Morning

Carden has been going to bed at 8 or even later since Daddy's been gone, which is late compared to his 6:30pm that he used to be doing. He usually wakes up at 7 or 7:30am but lately he's been waking up at 6am or even 5:30 like this morning. He is up and ready for breakfast. Carden is getting pretty good at using a spoon as well as drinking from a cup. The only problem is that he likes to take the cup and dump it out after having a drink because he like to play with the liquid!

Carden's new thing is CLIMBING! He can climb up on the couch, the chair, and even manages to make it up the ladder to the trampoline at the Glenn home! He's been trying to climb up onto his BIG bed but hasn't accomplished that one!

After we ate breakfast we got ready for the day. I then made banana bread, which FINALLY turned out PERFECT!!! Somehow that last loaf was HORRIBLE. This one was perfect. So fluffy, not overcooked, not dry, not wet, but just SOO YUMMY! I was just sad that I had no one else to share it with besides Carden. Banana bread is only good right out of the oven! Guess I will have to eat the whole thing with Carden! (then do some JAZZERCISE, hee hee!) Carden inhaled his piece.

Then it was around 10am and I was debating whether to go to the library for reading time. I knew Carden was going to fall asleep but I decided to go and try to see if he would make it. And of course right when I get on the freeway Carden was out. He's been so off on his naps. He now is back to two naps (well actually he never really took two, so i guess he is just making up for it now)!

Monday, Monday!

Well we had quite the day, Carden and I. This morning we went to my doctors appointment and Carden got to hear the baby's heartbeat! Everything sounds good. The even better news is that we get to find out if we are having a BOY or GIRL on July 2nd before we take off to AZ and Justin will also get to come! We are so excited!

We then went and ran a couple of errands and then went to the Glenn home for some play time. Carden and Lois ended up swimming all afternoon! Carden was quite the fish. I didn't have my swimsuit so he couldn't really go everywhere around the pool but he was trying! I guess we are ready for the HOT AZ summer!

I also gave Carden his 2nd hair cut!!! He looks so cute. I tried to get a picture so hopefully you can tell! We also ate some yummy stroganoff for dinner and fresh garden green beans. Thanks Glenns for sharing!

Grandma Was Here

Thank you Grandpa for letting Grandma come to our house for a couple of days! We had so much fun but also felt bad since you were home alone :( We miss you too! We had a great time playing at the Glenn home, eating yummy food, and putting up a bed for Carden! We are so grateful for the Easton family and donating us a mattress which will be Carden's bed once the baby comes! Here is a picture of Carden's room now. It is pretty cozy, but it will just have to do. Now we have a bed for whoever wants to come visit! We also have a fold up bed so that means TWO beds for visitors!

Carden loved playing in this kitchen that Grandma is taking back to her house so all the grandchildren can play house! Fun, fun! Maybe Carden will be like his Daddy and love to COOK! He was having a great time playing in the fridge and sink and pretending to drink out of this mug.

So I really don't know how to get these pictures to line up. Maybe I should change my template back to what it used to be. Here is Carden and I in our matching Sunday clothes. Doesn't Carden just look like a little man? Oh and we also got to go see the movie, UP with the cousins. It is a cute movie. Kind of not for children. But cute message but really sad too.

Carden the Toddler

Carden is all about doing things himself. The other day he ate his whole bowl of cheerios with a SPOON! Today we went to "reading time" at the library and Carden was all over the place. He mainly was running for the door so we went to the park which is right next to the library. He went down this cool slide that has spinny things all by himself!! He didn't get the concept of using the stairs to get to the slide. He kept wanting to go up it the same way he came down. I let a few kids run into him so he would try to get the picture, but instead he just cried. So we went home and as soon as I put him in his car seat he fell asleep. We had a late night last night at the Glenns.

Yesterday was a great day at dance. My girls both older and younger finished their dances. So now we just clean clean clean! I'm really excited. They are going to look so beautiful on stage! It has been a lot of work teaching dance, but I really do love it. I really hope that I will get to teach tap, ballet, and jazz to my two neices in the fall! Irish has been really fun, but such a challenge since I haven't taught it to younger girls. But all the dancers have made such great progress!

Here is a video of Carden finishing his breakfast. He loves to use napkins! (where do you think he gets that??!! hee hee)

Sunday Evening @ Lake Combie

Sunday Carden and I went with the Glenns to visit our cousins at their new home at Lake Combie! It was so much fun! Carden loved playing with Laker, Chase, and the rest of the cousins. We went down to the lake and put our feet in and Carden loved it. He was kind of scared when the water got all choppy from boats going by. Grandpa brought up a little paddle boat that looked so fun! Next time I want to paddle around the whole lake! It was really pretty up there. I wish I took pictures of the Lake. Next time. Well, here is a picture of everyone that was there. We ate some yummy taco soup and played all evening long. I'm so glad that more cousins are going to be close to us!

Posting Away- Sunday Happenings

I will be posting away since Justin is gone. Plus Carden is taking a nap and I really was excited about these cute pictures I took this morning of Carden. He is a little missionary. We had so much time this morning to get ready for church so I decided to get the camera out. After eating a whole banana and some strawberry shortcake for breakfast (I made it last night and decided Carden needed a little treat since he is always such a good boy and eats oatmeal every morning!) Carden read a book while holding his basketball. I just laughed! Carden has two loves just like his Daddy- BOOKS and BASKETBALL!

Today was Carden's FIRST time going to NURSERY. Yes, Carden isn't the right age to be going, but I have no husband to watch Carden while I have to be song leader the whole two hours at church!

But I first have to say that the day went fairly well. We were on time to church, actually 10 minutes early. Then Carden sat through half of the sacrament meeting and then spent the rest just out in the hallway looking at pictures of Christ. But then Primary came...

So I tried taking Carden to Primary but he was getting into the crayons and colored pencils and starting to draw on furniture so I finally decided it was time to go leave him in the nursery. I felt so had doing that since Carden isn't supposed to be in there, but I couldn't help it. I didn't know what to do! I almost burst out in tears, but luckily managed to pull myself together. My friend is in the nursery and I kind of gave her a heads up seeing she was aware that I was going to be husbandless for a while (thank you Whitney!).

CARDEN LOVED NURSERY! He didn't hesitate at all when I let him down. I even went back after the first hour to see if I could maybe get through the next hour with him in primary but he didn't want to come. It was kind of a sad moment knowing that my son really didn't need me all the time. But I am glad that Carden is ready to make friends and play on his own. When I went to pick him up we was still playing. He was pointing at all the pictures of fruits and Jesus, and even trying to reach for more SNACKS! They said that Carden was inhaling all the snacks! Sounds like our boy! The other kids were playing with their cracks as Carden was seeing how many he could stuff in his mouth!!! (hee hee!) Well, I'm so thankful for the Keys in helping me out today!

Kisses Goodbye

I just couldn't sleep last night. I just miss my husband TOO much. Justin is in AZ working for a law firm down there while I am here in CA trying to finish up my choreography and get my girls ready for their dance performance. My heart goes out to all those wives that have their husbands leave for a year or longer. I don't see how anyone survives that (Makenna, Laura you guys are amazing!).

Carden is starting to talk so much. I LOVE it! He is using his tongue and whole mouth when he speaks and it is just so fun. He talks all morning long pointing his finger at everything and trying to say things. He is trying to say "amen" at the end of our prayers and I love that he is trying to fold his arms. Carden also loves to give kisses. As you can see Carden loves giving kisses goodbye.

We Miss our Daddy

Entering the Oakland Temple-We thought this sign was pretty funny. The speed limit isn't 5 or 10 but instead it is 9 and a half!

Carden and Daddy at the lookout point at the temple. Carden isn't smiling because he knows his Daddy was leaving soon :(
Our little family at the temple
What cute boys!
Mommy and Carden
Carden doing his wave!
Sad faces at the airport
Justin had to fly out of Oakland since the tickets were cheaper. So we went up early so we could
see the beautiful temple. It was so clear and you could see the Golden Gate bridge from the temple. Carden loved all the flowers. He kept on pointing to all of them and then trying to pick them. We were so sad to have to leave our Daddy at the airport. We miss him SO MUCH! We can't wait till he comes home! He is such a good DADDY! We love you.

Daddy and Carden

Carden and Daddy at 14 months old

Carden and Daddy at 3months old

Today Carden is 14 months. We had to go to the doctor and get all his shots. Luckily Justin was able to go. It just brakes my heart when Carden has to get his shots. Carden slept in this morning and we actually had to wake him up for his 9:30am appointment. Carden was so hyper all morning until they gave him his shots, but luckily he was only sad for a few minutes.

We have had so much fun being with DADDY! We are going to miss him. We have been swimming, playing tennis, going on walks, playing basketball, playing with cousins, having BBQ, enjoying beautiful weather, and just being together!
