Grandpa Dave and Grandma Judy came for a visit! We always look forward to their September visit and were blessed with super great weather and some super fun activities. First up: CASA BONITA!!!!

Waiting in line at Casa Bonita.

Kobe and Luke playing some ninja math game to pass the time.

Teaching Grandma Judy how to play.

Getting ready to order. This was our very first time at Casa Bonita in all of our years living here. And it was such an awesome experience! Do you want to know why it was such an awesome experience? Because we had been warned about Casa Bonita many, many times. Numerous warnings from numerous loving friends.

They warned us that the food was awful. That it makes Taco Bell seem like the best food you ever tasted. And they were so, so right. But expectations can make or break an experience. So we didn't mind the food. And, in fact, we were pleasantly surprised that the sopapillas were kind of tasty!

They warned us that we may get sick after eating there. That the food may make us sick. We knew that going in, so we were pleasantly surprised when no one got sick! Just some mild diarrhea. Hardly worth mentioning!

The boys loved watching the divers dive off of the cliffs into their little lagoon. And they loved the other comedy shows, mostly western themed our night there.

They were in heaven at the arcade.

And they loved doing it all with Grandma and Grandpa!

They had a bunch of Halloween stuff up and a haunted walkway that Kobe and Luke went through.

We got Jude and Tate's caricature drawn. (If it had been any good, I would've scanned it in and showed you. But it was fun for them!)

We give Casa Bonita two very big thumbs up! (But let me reiterate, the food is gross. I want to be one of the loving friends that warns you now so that your expectations will allow you to have a fun time there. And just because we didn't get sick, doesn't mean that you won't.)

We hung out and talked a lot at home. Politics a big topic this year. Had a cozy hour of ice cream and "Glenn Beck" with Dave and Judy one night.

Fun Grandpa encouraging some monkey antics!

We went to watch Jude and Tate's soccer games on Saturday morning. The weather was beautiful!

Grandma teaching the boys how to play one of the games on her phone.

Tater's victory lap after he scored a goal.

The only time Tate gets sad on the soccer field is when it is his turn to rotate out. "But my breaths not too tired!"

A long morning or soccer for the supportive brothers.

The big surprise for the boys.....THE CIRCUS! I was so excited that the circus was in town while Grandma and Grandpa were here. Jakob didn't feel it was a must, but I don't know if I ever went to the true circus, so I wanted my boys to have that experience. It was fun!

I didn't get a picture, but everyone's favorite act was when they put a bunch of motorcycles driving around in a caged ball. I don't know how to explain it, but it really was awesome. You can look it up for a better explanation if you're dying to know what I'm talking about.

And the best day, Sunday, when we get to hang out and play games after church. Our new favorite game is "Tribond, Jr.". But it can only be played with me as the permanent clue reader since I have to allow some age-related handicaps so it is fair.

It's a fun one with a lot of laughs from our goofy boys.

Jude's loud belly laughs are the best.

Another super fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa! We love you guys!
