Our first night in Edinburgh. Walking the city streets. (The people pronounce it Edin-bru.)
Eating fish and chips again. This time the fish was shrimp, though. I debated trying Haggis the whole time we were there, but I just couldn't do it.
The view from our hotel room. We could see up to Edinburgh castle, all lit up at night.
The view of Edinburgh Castle.
We stayed at EasyHotel. Kind of like a hostel but we had our own bathroom. This is our room. It was kind of like a puzzle trying to figure how to move around the room when our luggage was in there.
Edinburgh
Walking up to the castle.
There are so many amazing, old buildings all over the city.
Edinburgh Castle
The statue of William Wallace is behind us.
The view
You could see our hotel from the top. It has an orange doorway.
The Governor's House
Where's Jakob?
There he is!
St. Margaret's Chapel, the oldest building in Edinburgh.

This cemetery for dogs made me think of Harlie!
The prison barracks
The prison barracks. Used during the Revolutionary War times.
One of the American prisoners carved an early American flag in the door.
A wee Scottish lad. I miss my babies!!!
Outside our hotel on a cold, foggy morning.
Waiting for the bus to take us to church.
Church in Edinburgh. They were the friendliest people we have ever met!
The Scottish National Gallery
The Scottish National Gallery - No pictures allowed inside.)
They are getting ready for the Olympics next month.
It is so pretty here.
My very last chance to do one of my favorite things - shop for souvenirs.
When you collect miniature things like I do, souvenir shops are like a dream come true. (The fake cigarette and beer keychain were my favorite finds because I can use them for Word of Wisdom lessons!)
I love Scotland. Edinburgh Castle was great. But the real treasure of Edinburgh was the store Primark. I'm not much of a shopper, but I felt like I had died and gone to heaven in that store. The cutest European style clothes for the whole family for so cheap. I am already figuring out how I can get back there.
Scotland gets two very big thumbs up. The end to an amazing two weeks. We feel so undeserving of such a wonderful trip and can't believe we got to have these experiences.
