Valentine's Day

I made Fillet Mignon for dinner :)
The kids got heart shaped hot dogs and bread. They loved it!

28 weeks pregnant!

love, love, love
Well-we had a great Valentine's day weekend! WE started out on Friday night with a ward party, in which I took couples pictures of everyone there. Russ & I went out Saturday night to dinner and a movie. It was so nice to get out 2 nights in a row with no kids! :) Then on Monday I made special 'love' dinner for everyone.
Hope ya'll had a great Valentine's day too!

Some of this, some of that

For some reason Tanner thought it would be funny to dress up with Rylie...
Rylie LOVES to dress up!

Tanner looks so pretty in his skirt & heels...

This is typical Rylie...hiding somewhere in her
mismatched pajamas. Most days she is in her jammies all day. I have to beg her to wear 'real' clothes when we go out.

Tanner in his element...building legos
I haven't made any fun cakes lately, but I made this pink on pink on pink with a little yellow cake for my friends daughter. This is what she specifically wanted. just in case you are wondering, the cake it self is pink also.

So I have been thinking lately that for a wanna be photographer, I am pretty lazy at remembering to snap some pics of my own kids. Lame, right?? I have been trying harder this week to snap some everyday silly pics. Surprisingly, Tanner and Rylie have been getting along really well this week (hence the dressing up together) so it has been kinda relaxing not having to constantly yelling at them to be nice.
Now that I am in my last trimester I have been feeling so tried. I was really hoping that I could put that off until it was closer to the end. No such luck. My back and my ribs have been killing me lately so I have been spending a lot of time resting on the couch, which sometimes I fall asleep. I am starting to feel like I am growing an alien, given the way he moves around. Not something I will ever get used to! Tanner and Rylie are just loving the thought of baby! They have taken to talking to my belly and kissing it often, especially when going to bed. I think that they are ready for him to come out. Rylie has informed me that my tummy is bigger now so we can go to the doctor to get him out. Little does she realize i have THREE MONTHS left. boo. I can't even begin to explain how ready I am. And to think I am going to be twice the size I am now. :( my back hurts just thinking about it! Enough complaining...I UNoffically have a day for my c-section scheduled...Monday April 25!! I was feeling a bit overwhelmed at first but now I am just trying to pass the time and get ready for this little monkey to be done cookin'.
As for the rest of the fam...Russ finally has so time to spend with us (yay), he was working every day off last month!! So we are so glad that is over and now we can selfishly have him to ourselves! I think he is happy to have some time to relax as well. This past weekend he got to sleep in, he was so happy!
Tanner has been a busy boy, as usual. he loves to 'publish' his own books, some are quite funny! He also has been building various lego things. Not that this is new but he has been reading books all by himself! :) I am one proud mama!
Rylie just loves preschool! She has so much fun! I believe that is has helped her active imagination grow quite a bit! She was just telling me last night Evan (a friend in preschool) was not nice to her. I told her she hadn't seen him in days, she was very insistent that he was bothering her just then...Silly Rylie. She has been carting her baby just about everywhere we go now. She even has to buckle her up too! She gets very upset when we forget baby at home, because clearly you cannot leave baby at home unattended!!
Just so you know, I do like comments :)

I'm in love!!!

Yes it's true...and just so you know this is not some cheesy post of how I love my Russell so. (Though i do love him, more now...you'll see why) We just celebrated our 10th, yes 10th anniversary. Double digits...i know. Weird. We decided to give our selves the gift of sleep this year. We shopped around and bought a new KING size bed!!! I love it so much! I sleep so well now! Not that our bed sucked before, it's just that Russ is a floppy sleeper and keeps me up. I so love my bed I just can't wait to crawl in every night and get so excited that is more comfortable than i remember!! Since Russ and I are power shoppers and got an amazing deal on our bed, we also got a new dishwasher that is so quiet!! I love that too!! I look forward to washing my dishes as well. I have so hated my last dishwasher because it is so loud. I refused to turn it on in the daytime b/c it is so loud....now I don't have to worry about that! :) yay! Happy anniversary!
Pictures to come...Russ has my camera somewhere..can't find it.

Aside for my love of material things...We are all doing well. Tanner and Rylie are back in school. yay! Tanner has been keeping himself busy with Russ' light box. He will trace pictures all day and write little books about them. So cute. Rylie has declared that i am the best mom EVER! She says it all the time. It makes me laugh b/c it is usually when I am taking her potty. Go figure. I am now 24 weeks pregnant...only 16 weeks left!! I think I am mentally ready for him to come. I still have lots to do though...I just can't wait! I am getting anxious to be done. Tanner constantly is asking when he is coming he can't wait to have a brother. Rylie is excited too...she will finally admit that it is a boy, but will not claim him as her brother. When asked if she is having a brother or sister, she always says sister. She still doesn't want to let go of the possibility i guess. We are working with her. maybe by the time he comes she will be ok with it. At least there aren't anymore tantrums about how she wants it to be a girl. :)
