The only way to make a prego happy...

Doctor: "You're measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule."
.
Me: "Soooo does that mean you'll induce me early??" (please say yes...please say yes...)
.
Doctor: "In 2 weeks if you're still measuring big, we'll do an ultrasound to see why. And then we'll decide. Most likely, we'll induce you."
.
Me: "This feels more exciting than Christmas morning."

Rexburg 2008 Baby Names

Alright. I must say, my last post about baby names was a complete success.
.
While reading some of your comments, my girlfriend Hilary sent me to this blog. Go there or just read this below....I DIED when I read this.
.
"It has arrived! The Annual Madison Memorial Hospital Birth Announcement Extravaganza is here. I spent an hour last night cackling to myself and taking notes. Let’s have a look back at the best of the worst Rexburg baby names of 2008, shall we? (if you’re lost, check out the second half of THIS post)

The “To-Be-Expecteds” (ie, mix-n-match): As bad as they are, we knew these were coming.
Brysen
Kyson
Kaybree
Rayden
Harlee (THREE little girls named this. I really wish whoever had decided this was okay had run it past me first)Blah blah blah. I got sick of these names. There are dozens of them, in every variation imaginable. Eventually I quit writing them down.
.
The “Sound-it-Outs”:
Lundyn
Konnur
Kenideigh
Xoie
Adicyne
.
The “Completely Unnecessary Extra T’s”: Interesting emerging trend.
Eastton
Huntter
.
Hilarious Twin Combinations:
Boisen and Payah (is that like, someone from Boise?)
Brinley Sue and Augree Lynn
Tylenn Braylee and Tyken Raylee (my favorite of these three sets, obviously. Though Augree is pretty fantastic, too.)
.
Aaaand the moment we’ve all been waiting for….the “What the EFF?!?!!’s”:
Ledger
Tymber
Creedon (cretin?)
Chasitie (not a typo…cha-sit-ee)
Jakolby
a ‘Tavian’ and a ‘Tayvian’, two boys who are seemingly unrelated. How is that even possible??
Zaylee
Taicyr (?)
Krayson
Shikendra
Taggart (HAHAhahHahaAHA)
A poor boy named Traigyn Azure (GYN?? GYN?? Are you serious??!)
Kazley
Cedar
.
Please note: There were also THREE Ridges, TWO Drakes, and a little boy named Ashtynn. Plus, remember how many Braxton/Braxten/Braxtyns there were last year? It’s been replaced by Ryker. RYKER!! As in Commander Riker from Star Trek. There were FOUR babies named that in Rexburg last year! Every time I ran across another one, I screamed even louder than before."
.
---I HOPE WE DON'T FALL UNDER THIS TREND!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm terrified to name my child!!!!!!---

What are your thoughts?

I'm not going to tell you what BGB's name is....but I will tell you it does start with a
B
I haven't been totally sold on the name because I'm waiting for some divine inspiration in the hospital when BGB is finally in my arms and not in my tummy (or ribs....).
I looked on a baby names search guild and I came across this name.
Butterfly
What are your thoughts?
(lol)

Welcome Fall

FINALLY
the summer has ended...or at least it feels like it. I was soooo over the heat.
.
Don't get me wrong, I love the summer. But when you are 8 months prego and sweating like a banchee, cooler days are nice :-)
.
I am definitely going to miss Fall in North Carolina. The color of the trees are unreal. You seriously wouldn't believe how many colors the leaves create. Fall in NC has the best nights. Perfectly chilled to wear a hoodie but not enough freeze your butt off.

This week we celebrate:

Being done with the LSAT as of 2PM on SATURDAY. Just one step closer to knowing which Law School we will attend....and one step closer to leaving Rexburg!

Being 35 weeks prego. Wondering if I will get any bigger. Is it POSSIBLE???!?!?!?!

Seeing all my old college roomies for a Baby Shower Celebration!!!

I can't wait to see you girls!

I couldn't help myself!

Why wouldn't you stock up for next summer clothes on Target.com for the BGB when you get free shipping and gift cards to blow? Ridiculously cheap clothes. I just love Post-Season sales!!
and I definitely LOVE getting packages!

Can you picture her chubby legs in those leggings too?

Dinner for 2

On Thursday, both Ryan and I were Sooooo not wanting to cook. So I suggested Wendy's. I mean, who doesn't love those beautifully fried french fries and Frosty?

Final Bill: $16.71
Satisfied hunger but not completely happy. We still do not understand how we spent that much at a fast food restaurant. Pretty pathetic!

On Friday, we had a date night. TGIF and Target. We ate first at TGIF before our adventure started at Target. We both need full tummies to shop. Besides diapers and wipes, I think we are officially done baby shopping. HOORAY. Anyways, we were stunned at our bill.

Final Bill: $15.34
Extremely happy and FULL. We kept looking at our bill like...are you sure?? Seriously?

Take advantage of the $5 off at TGIF! The Jack Daniel's meals are delish!

Not Scheduled

This past Sunday, I was not doing well at all. I must admit, I have had a great pregnancy. Full of normal aches and pains and complaints. Sunday was not one of those days. I had the sharpest pain in my right lower side I couldn't sleep, couldn't get out of bed, and nothing helped it at all. My biggest worry was my appendix or gall bladder. Next, I called my Visiting Teacher (I may suck at VT but Sadie is a wonderful VT to me)....she just happens to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse at the Hospital and she said that it could also be a kidney stone. Oh geez....I hear those are worse than labor! She told us to not hesitate to go to the hospital. So off we went. It was good because we've been planning on pre-registering and touring so why not make it a legit trip instead of a visit?? hahaha

So why is it when you're crying over an ache and then finally when you get a professional to look at it, it vanishes? and never comes back? That's exactly what happened. My nurse was fantastic. She hooked me up to the baby monitors and it was actually very fun listening to BGB's little heart beat away. I forgot, but it was Ryan's first time hearing her heart beat (some wife I am....) but she was all healthy. But for me, my blood pressure was really high. I told her that I was suffering all week from bad headaches that just wouldn't let up and I also had some pains in my upper chest but I've assumed it was little feet stuck in my ribs. The nurse called my doctor and they discussed my issues. They are worried that with my high blood pressure, it might be the signs of preclampsia. Ohhh great. I didn't have any proteins in my urine which is the 2nd indicator of preclampsia. I don't have any swelling either. Unfortunately, high BP is in my family so I wasn't surprised.

So long story short...my doctors are just going to keep a closer eye on my BP to make sure we get it under control. But if not, I may be induced a week or 2 early because it puts the baby at risk. So I go into the hospital for one problem and leave with a potentially worse problem! I am doing great and Ryan has taken charge to make sure I do not do ANYTHING anymore. Thanks baby. I'm not on doctor's bed rest....I'm on Husband's bed rest.

18 months

Is it weird to think that I would have just got home from my mission from Warsaw Poland?

But instead, I made the decision to stay home, marry the man of my dreams, and be currently carrying a special BGB! I am so grateful for that time in my life where I really depended on the Spirit to help me make hard decisions. I know that those experiences will come in handy when we encounter life altering decisions (especially law school).

While Ryan and I were in NC last month, my dad was able to give us both father's blessings. It was such a special experience. In my blessing, my dad emphasized that meeting Ryan was a Miracle. Ryan has completed my life and I am so thankful for that. He is so patient and understanding. During the pregnancy, I have had to depend on him for almost everything. Putting lotion on my calves because I can't bend over, taking off my toenail polish, scratching my back, cooking up pancakes late at night, getting me endless bottles of water, taking me to Dairy Queen to get french fries, and my favorite, praying everyday for my strength and our BGB. I can't wait for him to hold our baby girl for the first time. (*tears!*)
