Thomas the Train

Another favorite of T's in Thomas.  He loves watching the Thomas movies on Netflix.  We were watching one yesterday morning and I got inspired.  If anyone has seen "Thomas and Friends: Team up with Thomas" you will know where I got the idea.  Luckily I knew I had all the supplies I would need...so I thought this could be fun.  Little did I know it would take three hours to complete.

We took some of these and made it into this...

And then into this...

I guess it was all worth it when T woke up from his nap to see his Thomas.  He kept saying the rest of the day, "Mommy I just love my Thomas".  Sometimes I get that creative bug...but it gets real tough though when you have two little ones climbing all over when you are trying to be creative.  So I finally put G in her chair to feed her an early lunch so I could work on it kids free.

I don't know how long she actually lasted before she passed out...but this is how I found her. I felt a little guilty but it still made me smile to see her with yogurt all over her face dead asleep  Needless to say it was fun making it...but I was ready for a nap at the end of it too.  Now T is already asking for a Percy for his cousin and Emily for G. We'll see if I get that bug again.

Fun in the sun

We a had two days of nice weather this week.  When nice weather happens around here I always make sure we take full advantage.  On Tuesday it was suppose to be a perfect 75 degrees
so I loaded the kids up in the car early that morning for a quick trip to Target to get all our supplies to enjoy a day in the sun.  Here is what T picked out...

Lightning pool of course...everything is Lightning around here.

G is great in the water, she fell in once and got water poured over head by her brother and didn't cry once.

It is so nice being a S.A.H.M. during the summer...or I should clarify...on warm summer days.

What are they up to?

Things are keeping steady here in our house hold.  Summer is slowly making it's way.  We have had some fun outside but still waiting for the heat to arrive.  We have been busy with family events here and there.  The kids really enjoy anytime they get to spend with their cousins.  In between that it is just playtime as usual.  I took a couple of picks and video of things that go on in our home on a daily basis.

T loves his cars.  He sets them up to for a "big race".

And there off...he always has Lightning McQueen win of course

G's new favorite thing is coloring (can't you see how good she is at it...I might have helped a little ).

I love how she lays on her tummy to do it.  She always gets into that postion when she wants to color, she must have seen her brother do that I guess.

This was a fun idea for about 5 minutes.

I walked away to answer a phone call and came back to this.  I still am finding those beans everywhere....there are about a dozen under the fridge and oven that I still haven't gotten to.  At least they had fun.

I don't know what we would do if we didn't have this hallway.  It is used for so many different things.  Riding this truck is one of them.  G usually loves it...don't know why she was crying in this video...but it is all I got.
On another note...G has FINALLY decided to take a try at walking.  After months of Mom trying to get her interested, she finally took her first steps a week ago.  Yay!!  She is getting a little more comfortable each day...so it is slow going for sure (she wouldn't have it any other way but her own pace).  She loves it...she gets super excited when she does it...which in turn leads her to fall.  So little by little she will go.  I hope to get some good video to post soon.
