We're Pregnant..AGAIN!!

Wow has this last few weeks been SUCH a roller coaster!! I dont even know where to start with this post but I want to remember everything so i guess i will just type and hope it makes since haha.. and for some this might be major TMI but its MY blog ;) So yes we are pregnant again, expecting our second bundle of joy :) YES this was planned.. it has taken me awhile to get pregnant due to breastfeeding Kinsey but it finally happened!!  I took my first at home pregnancy test April 1st because I just had this hunch and i got 2 positive results! I couldnt decided on if i wanted to tell brandon that day because it was April fools or if i wanted to wait.. then i thought "what the heck, im telling him today!".  Kinsey and I came up with a plan that when he walked in the door she would run out with the positive test.. well he didnt believe it at first and i truly dont think he believed it until our first doctors appointment haha.. well that brings me to my next topic.  I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks out since Brandon is only able to go with me on Thursdays (his day off) and my OB is in surgery every other Thursday.. so I just figured i would be about 7 weeks along for my first appointment.. well things didnt go that smoothly.  We talked to my doctor for a little bit and i told him some info and he even said i was 7 weeks and my due date would be December 1st.. Brandons birthday!! Then came the ultrasound.. all he could find was a yolk sac. This was a HUGE scare for me! I had a 101 things going through my mind at that time like, is "it" just not growing, am i going to have a miscarriage??, and lots of other not so good things! Dr. Alejo told me that seeing a yolk sac meant i was more than 5 weeks but less than 6 and to come back in 2 weeks.  So we left with my nerves shot and worry meter sky high! I even made myself sick worrying about it so i texted my OB.. yes i have his number thank goodness, and asked if he thought it was a healthy pregnancy.  He assured me that everything would be fine and to just relax.
So that two week appointment was today and I was a basket case! My wait to see him is usually less than 5 min but this time i had to wait close to 10, and to top it off i felt like i was going to puke my brains out (attractive huh?).  Finally I got called back and they did my weight and all that fun stuff then we waited in the room for about 2 sec before he came in and i hurried and told him how worried i was and he said "well lets not talk and just look and see"haha he is AWESOME!! Well guys we now have a heart beat!!!! My little yolk sac has developed and I am now 7 weeks 6 days along! this was music to my ears :)))) I know im not very far long and its kinda soon to be telling people.. but im not one to keep things in very well, especially something as big as this! Im so glad i worried for nothing and that so far everything looks great! So since im only 8 weeks not much has changed with me or my body except for the fact i am VERY sick and it lasts most of the day.. I am fine when i wake up in the morning, but around 2 or 3 i start to get queasy.  I never felt this way with Kinsey, so maybe this means it a boy :) any SMELL is my worst enemy!! I cant cook food without running to the bathroom at least once, and I often sit outside with Kinsey after dinner with all my windows and doors open with fans going to get any lingering smell out. Other than being very sick, peeing 20 million times a day and being exhausted.. thats about it! haha

this is what "it" looks like at 8 weeks

Easter!!

I love having a little one around for more than one reason, but one of the MAJOR reasons why is because holidays mean so much more and are so much funner :) This was not Kinsey's first Easter of course, but it was the first one she actually RAN around hunting for eggs!! I know every parent always brags about how smart their child is.. blah blah.. but I am totally confident saying Kinsey is VERY VERY smart.  She picks up on things that Brandon and I do and will imitate them or copy words without even a blink!! Its amazing :) She obviously hadn't hunted for eggs before and all it took was me picking up one egg and placing it in her basket for her to realize what she was supposed to be doing haha.
We were lucky enough for Brandon to get Saturday and Sunday off work (yep, thats right folks, TWO days off in a row!!). Thanks again to his co-worker Jim :) anyways.. we started our Easter celebration by getting up early and going to the Kaysville Egg Hunt! We got there and there were so many people.. i was kinda worried until i saw they had a field for each age group so Kinsey was with ages 0-3.  We got there early of course to scope out all the eggs so we had to wait awhile.. but oh boy! as soon as the announcer said 1 those eggs were gone in a matter of 2 minutes lol.  We found a perfect spot for Kinsey to "hunt". It was an area with a big cluster so she didnt have to move very far :) Later that day Kinsey and I made yummy Easter cup cakes.  I baked and frosted and she decorated!!
Easter morning was a BLAST!! Kinsey woke up at 7AM and thats pretty early for her.. but I knew it was because she was just excited to see what the Easter bunny brought her! I jumped out of bed fast too because i was excited to watch her look for eggs haha At first she was too tired and didnt care much for looking for the eggs.. so I opened one up that happened to be some chocolate and man oh man that got her motivated to find ALL the eggs in the house! (she is just so little but still knows what to do for her chocolate fix :) We let her make a mess of the Easter grass and play with all her eggs for awhile.. that was a HUGE mess to clean up ugh!!
Next was the family parties!! Since my parents are separated I always have two parties with just my side of the family, then Brandons family does a party.. so we usually have a total of 3 parties to go to every holiday! You think it would excite me, but thats a lot of food and driving and sometimes its hard on Kinsey.. but I want to see everyone so we make it happen :) Our first stop was to Rob's sisters house, Debbie.  My mom and Rob got Kinsey a life size teddy bear!!! That thing is as big as me lol she loves it and is always trying to feed it or give it kisses.  Next we were off to my Grandma's house to do another egg hunt.  It was important to make it to this one because Kinsey LOVES her cousin Kamryn, who is almost 5!!.  So she got to look for more eggs with Kam and get more goodies :) Then we headed to Brandon's parents house where we ate again and did another egg hunt with those cousins.
At the annual Kaysville City Egg Hunt

her findings :)

She is so serious and professional when it comes to decorating cupcakes haha

hunting for eggs in the kitchen

gotta let them have fun.. no matter how big the mess gets, i guess

her LIFE SIZE teddy bear

can you believe she is big enough to eat at the "kids" table.. :(

What a GOOD day!
All in all I would say we had a FANTASTIC Easter!! Kinsey had such a great day and seemed to love every minute of it :)

Our nightly routine

Let me just start by informing all of you that Kinsey is SPOILED. lol she gets a bath almost every night and has had a lotion massage every night since the day we brought her home!  I guess that just shows we love our little "bean".  Our routine goes as follows:
*she eats dinner and makes a huge mess ( i let her have fun at dinner because i will just be getting her in the bath soon anyways haha)
*we head to the bathroom where she watches me start her bath WITH the bubbles and all.
*then we get undressed and get a towel and wash cloth out of the closet and she HAS to carry the wash cloth and throw it into the tub haha
*she then takes a bath for about 15-20 min until her fingers look like old lady fingers
*after she gets out of the bath i wrap the towel around her and she walks to her room like a big girl
*now comes the pampering... she gets a FULL body massage!
*after we get dressed in our PJ's i allow her to play in her room and she usually wants to read books, drink her milk and just hang out until she grabs her binkie and lets me know she is ready for bed!

I love her so dang much and have so much fun with her everyday and night!  It is rough when Brandon is away at work ALL the time but I am starting to realize that he is doing it for this family and so I dont have to work.. so I just enjoy every minute with just my girl and I :)
always helping her mommy

such a popular girl on the phone!

pure happiness!

i just had to post this one.. CUTE BUTT COCONUT!

She chose to watch Elmo...

and read books tonight!

Meet LEO

I finally convinced Brandon to let me get a dog!!!!!! I thought this day would never come ;)  My mom found the add in the paper and I called the breeder right away.  I scheduled a time to go look at the fluff balls on Brandon's day off so he could see how cute they were and hopefully fall in LOVE! Well long story short, he did fall in love and so did both Kinsey and I.  It was so hard to choose since there were only 4 males left and they were all so dang cute.  I didn't want the biggest one, or the smallest one, so we got the medium sized one that seemed to be the most cuddly :)

His name is Leo.  We sometimes call him Leo Man and Kinsey calls him EEE-O. He is a Bichon-Frise, and that is kinda like a poodle except they have longer tails.  When he is full grown he will be anywhere from 10-12 lbs.  He is hypoallergenic and DOESN'T shed!  He loves to be around people and other dogs and cuddle up next to any body part of you he can find and sleep haha We had a rough few nights with him since he obviously missed his mommy and brothers, so he cried at night all night! Now we are just working on teaching him to not bark while in his kennel.  I start puppy training classes next week so that should help us out a TON!  He is so good with Kinsey!  She is still learning to be soft with him and that its NOT ok to pick him up by his tail lol He has never once barked, or snipped at her though :) Those two are going to be good friends!

This is him most of the day

I love this little guy to pieces!
