Halloween!!

This was Kinsey's first Halloween and I think she had a blast, in my opinion lol.  Brandon and I made her costume too!!  She was a cute bumble bee :)  We made a tutu and then bought a black turtle neck and I put yellow electrical tape in stripes around it then we found adult leg warmers that were black and white striped so we got those as well :)  She was all decked out in "bee" attire!  Brandon had to work during the day so that meant it was just me and my Kinsey beans to have fun during the day with all the festivities!!  We started by going to my moms to show her off to Grandma, Grandpa, and the uncles. They gave Kinsey her favorite thing, juice boxes. Then I took her to Lee's Market where they were having a trick-or-treat for little ones.  Kinsey didn't know what to think off all those people and all the crazy costumes.  She sat in her stroller as we walked around to the different stands to collect our treats.  She got a capri sun, lots of laffy taffys, "scarrots", and a few other little things.  She held on to the air head for dear life!! After we left Lee's we went to Brandon's moms house and she got more treats like suckers and fruit snacks.  Then I just had to go show her off to the people I work with lol.

After our morning of festivities my bumble bee took a much needed nap and so did I lol :)  Dad came home and then we were off to our friends Austin and Christee's house to trick-or-treat and watch the Utah game!  Kinsey loves being around those guys and even loves their new puppy Gracie ha ha 

Overall our Halloween was a very fun day and Kinsey had a blast!!!







Busy parents!

Brandon and I have been so busy with work, school, Kinsey, and the everyday things and even house shopping!!  We are still full time students, Brandon does online school with University of Phoenix and I go to Weber State. Brandon is still employed full time with Qwest and I still work as a receptionist at Ogden Clinic 2 min away from my home.  We just started shopping for homes last month and are looking into moving further south to the Kaysville area.. The only bad thing about that is your penny doesn't get you very much in Kaysville as it does in Ogden ha ha.  Brandon is the one who is being hard to please (who would have thought he he) so I have kinda left him up to finding the homes to look at.  I just requested to have 2 bathrooms and at least 3 bedrooms and I will be a happy girl! Our first outing when we went to go look at houses really gave Brandon a reality check ha ha they were mostly foreclosures so the carpet was GROSS and the walls were in serious need of some cleaning and paint.  I could see past all that and really liked some of them but I think a few of the homes just made Brandon cringe and not want anything to do with them ahah.  I will keep you all updated on the next adventure we have looking at homes ;)

Kinsey and her new skills..

Boy oh boy has she grown up so fast these past few months.. She doesn't seem like my little baby anymore, she is more like my little lady!  She is at the funnest age right now and Brandon and I are enjoying every minute of it.

Here is a list of new skills my "little lady" now does:

- At 7 months old she was scooting backwards and would roll to get to her destination.  I began to worry because friends that have kids around Kinsey's age were crawling on all 4's, but then I realized once she starts to become more mobile then that means lots more work for me to keep her in one spot ha

-Kinsey is now 8 months old and has mastered the army crawl!  She is fast too lol don't let those little arms fool you, they are dang strong lol

- Brandon is now starting to realize that he cannot leave any small objects on the floor like candy wrappers, because Kinsey now wants to eat and put whatever she can find in her mouth.  The other morning she was crawling around upstairs between our room and the bathroom, and somewhere between those two areas she found a little piece of a stick and stuck it in her mouth.  I sure hope Brandon learned his lesson after she threw that up!

- Sippy cups are so last year for Kins lol she prefers to drink out of a straw like a big girl!  She was at my moms house one evening and discovered how to suck out of a straw and now that's all she wants to do!  So I went shopping and got her some cups with straws that are similar to sippy cups.  The funny thing is they say for 18+ months.. I guess Kinsey is just 10 months ahead of the game ;)

- Our beauty queen is still on the same schedule for eating and with the 2 naps a day and is doing really well :)  When she is tired she sure does let you know by yelling at you or giving you the look like "are you serious?" ha and when you lay her down she grabs her binks and rolls to her side and doesn't make a peep after that!  She enjoys her beauty rest..

-At 7 months old Kinsey started to say Dadada and that made for one proud Daddy!!  It just melts Brandon's heart when she looks at him and says dada.  I was upset at first that she didn't say mama first but what can ya do?!

-At 8 months I got my fame and glory when Brandon called me and said Kinsey was saying Mama!!!!  I was at work and so upset I wasn't there for it but it is the neatest thing when she looks at me and says mama :)

-Kinsey still only has her two bottom teeth but defiantly puts them to good use lol  She loves her "snacks". After her 3 o'clock breastfeeding I offer her a little snack that either consists of juice, yogurt bites, puff crackers, or recently she has been having fruit strips that are kinda like the fruit leather.

-Munch munch and more munch!  Kinsey will eat a full meal at her scheduled time and if she is sitting with anyone or can see anyone else eating she must eat too and eat exactly what they are eating.  I call this "social eating" lol  If I feed her lunch then make me a pb&j sandwich I MUST share with her or else she gets pissed!!! Same goes for dinner lol I have to give her a little bit of whatever we are eating.  It makes me laugh!  I sure hope she keeps up the good eating habits and is not a picky eater ;)

I cant believe my little girl will be 9 months in a week.. time has gone by way to fast!!  I am told daily by different people that I have the best and cutest baby and I truly feel blessed to have such a great daughter!  She is my everything :)

Im a SLACKER!!

WOW, where do I even begin?? I don't know how I missed blogging for 2 whole months!  It could be that I have been going crazy with school and playing with my sweet daughter ha ha well I will try to remember all we have done these past 2 months and update everyone :)
