Christmas Part 1

Remember my last post about my mom making holidays nicer to me?? Well she does Christmas early too!!! Isnt she amazing ;)  We went to her house for the traditional ham dinner, opening gifts, and quality family time without having to rush every where. The girls, Brandon, and I got spoiled!  THANKS MOM and ROB :)

I love looking at the pics when I take several at a time.. Kinsey always has me cracking up lol

Kinsey is such a ham ;)

LMAO poor Addy...

Mason had to be Rudolph to "earn" his Christmas gifts ;) The things our parents make us do lol

She was SOOOO excited and looked like she was going to cry with happiness ;)

When we got home, we decided to make a gingerbread house ;)

Crazy girls...

a VERY late Thanksgiving post!

Going out of order a little bit because I just realized I forgot to blog about Thanksgiving!!!

We have/had so much to be thankful this year!

My mom has been so kind and made holiday's much nicer on me.  She did Thanksgiving a week early so we would only have 2 places to visit instead of 3 the day of!  I didnt get any pics at her house though :(

We asked Kinsey what she was thankful for this year, and without giving her any ideas she shouted "WATER"!  I was so proud of her because it reminded me that kids really do think simply and its the little things we dont think about that we are the most thankful for!  :)

We tried to hard to get a good family pic with the self timer.. this is the best one that is centered.. BUT our lil jokster Kinsey pulled faces haha!!

not centered.. but we are all smiling lol

Kinsey's idea to do "funny" faces ;)

Porter man!

I "mustache" you a question!

Surprise Shower

Since starting Nursing school, I have gained so many new friends!  You spend so much time with them, they see you at your best and worst, and you even cry and laugh together constantly.  I am so lucky that I got paired up with some of the best people!! Melisa is brave and one of the strongest people I know.  She is working AND pregnant AND has a family.  I admire her so much!! We decided to throw her a surprise shower and it was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.  Trying to get to her come to my house and not tell her why, and trying to get her to go along with something without many details was rough lol  We finally got her to believe we were going out to lunch to celebrate one of the other girls birthdays.  The day of I texted her and asked if I could get a ride because my car wouldn't start.  Well she decided that because she is always away from her family she wanted to bring her husband and son, so we just went along with it hoping her husband wouldn't mind coming to a baby shower.  She came to my house to get me, and texted me to let me know she was at my house and my response was "come in for a sec" LOL  She came to the door and we surprised her :)  Thankfully she has an awesome supportive husband so he was totally fine with attending a shower!  Overall I think it turned out really well :)  We are so excited to meet the little man this February!!!

Mason, the big brother, wanted me to take a pic with him :)

SANTA

Santa visited Kinsey's school and Harper and I were invited to come see him as well.  It was so nice to be in a warm building and not have to wait in a long line to see him ;)  I discovered that Kinsey is the "talker" of her class and is always the first to comment or answer a question lol!

She told Santa she wanted a "pink star" for Christmas

"SNOW" much fun!

Took some pics of the girls playing in the snow.  Kinsey LOVES it, Harper and I can handle 5 minutes of it, then we want to go inside where it is warm.  Kinsey could stay out in it all day and night if I let her!

pure joy!

Making snow angles lol
