Frischknecht Family Vacation

We went to San Diego this past weekend on a Frischknecht Family Vaction! Jon & I flew out Saturday night. We got up early Sunday morning & headed south to Jon's sister Amy's house. We went to her family's ward & then over to her house to visit & BBQ. It was so nice to visit with them. We don't get to see the Hunt family very often.
Monday morning Jon, myself, John Senior, Miranda & Brandon took a trip over to Sea World. Our favorite things were the Shamu show & touching the sting rays.

Later that night we went to the Padres game. It was a blast! I have never been to a major leauge game. The Petco Park (stadium) is amazing!!!
Tuesday morning we went down to the beach. It was a pretty cloudy day & the water was cold. But that didn't stop us! Jon's family brought several body boards to play on. I had never used them before. I think we will be investing in those some day!! When we got back to the hotel, Jon's mom told us that there was an earthquake while we were gone!!! I guess there was a 5.4 in L.A. She felt it & watched items in the room move & sway. We didn't feel it though, we think we were in the car driving to the beach when it happened.
We had a so much fun. It was a quick 3 day trip but we fit a lot into it. Pretty soon we will both be back in school & dreaming of relaxing on that beach! Thanks to the Frischknecht's! We can't wait for the next family vacation! They are always great!

Here comes the bride!

My wonderful sister-in-law Jamie Frischnkecht took some bridal pictures for me the end of June. She did an amazing job! I didn't put them up on my blog because I didn't want Jon to see me in my dress before the wedding! Speaking of wedding pictures my photographer said she would have my pictures done in a few weeks! I can't wait to get them back!
Well done Jamie! These two are my favorites! I can't believe what you, your camera & your computer can create!

Happy Birthday Jon

We celebrated Jon's 23rd Birthday on Wednesday. We got home from Mexico the night before so I hadn't wrapped any of his presents...
Jon, I love you more than I could ever express. Here are 23 of my favorite things about you...in no particular order: 1.the way you look at me 2.your big brown eyes 3.what a hard worker you are 4.you can always make me smile 5.how loyal you are to everyone you love 6.you always listen to my stories (even if they are long and random) 7.the way I feel in your arms 8.your sense of humor 9.your dance moves 10.the way you twist your hair when you are frustrated or thinking really hard. 11.the way you take care of me 12.how safe I feel when I am with you 13. how competative you are 14.your ability to be a leader 15.how you accomplish whatever you set your mind too 16.your knowledge of EVERYTHING! 17.the way you kiss me 18.what a great husband & father you will be 19.your love of sports & talk radio 20.you dream big 21.your freckles...sorry...angel kisses 22.how easy going you are 23.your kind, respectful, genuine, strong and the kind of person I want to be! I love you baby!
Jon loves the Rocky movies. He once made me have a Rocky Marathon with him. We watched Rocky 1-5 one after the other. I found this poster & knew he would love it! The whole thing is drawn with words: quotes/lines from the movies. It was fun to watch him study it.
Then as promised, Jon got his other birthday wish. He has wanted to shave his head for soooo long. I told him he could as soon as the wedding was over with. I think he could have stayed with this look. He can pull it off don't you think?
Then to end the day we went out to my mom's & had a BBQ, celebrated Jon's (& my nephew Gavyn's B-days). Then we opened wedding presents...for hours!! We were amazed at the fun stuff we got! People are so generous & we can't wait to get settled in our home.

Cancun: Honeymoon!

Jon & I had an amazing time in Mexico! One of the coolest thing we did was go on an all day trip to Chichen Itza. (One of the seven wonders of the world.) Our first stop was at this "sinkhole." At least I think that is what our tour guide was calling it. Here is Jon heading down to the water.
We stopped half way down for a good photo op. The trouble of traveling with two...it was hard to get pictures of us together. We had to take turns being in front of & behind the camera.
WOW! Need I say more?!
Here we are at the Mayan Ruins. This is the main temple the Kukulcan Pyramid. It is amazing how symbolic everything there is.
Here's my cute husband at the "Ball Court." At the far left corner of the picture there is a large circle. This boggles my mind but two teams had to get a rubber-like ball through the "hoop" 12 times, using only their shoulders, elbows, hips & knees! Sometimes it would take three days to finish a game.
This is the view from our Hotel Balcony! I have never seen water this blue in my life! It was hot & extremely humid. But the breeze, the sand & the sun were fabulous!
We had a wonderful time! It was hard to come home.
