Catching up...

on what's been going on! We had a good Thanksgiving with the Fam. It makes it so nice to have both families right here in town so we can visit one family, then visit the other, etc. It's nice to not have to travel since we all hate traveling so much. Friday I crafted with Jeremy's mom, sister and Leslie. We made 2 cute projects. First, we did a mini muffin tin advent calendar. Of course once again the only pictures I have are from my cell phone, so you'll just have to live with the quality...(or lack thereof in this case ;)
and we also made a Christmas Countdown. I made this one with a homemade gift exchange I had entered in mind...I mailed it off today. I wanted to keep it so bad, but it didn't match my decorations and if you know me, everything has to coordinate so.....

It was a long day. Thankfully, we had the cricut to use to cut out our stuff or it would've been even longer!

So, I really think we have lost our minds this time...We made the decision yesterday to get 2 of these sweet babies...

Crazy I know! They won't be ready for another 5 or 6 weeks so at least I have a little time to prepare. This isn't an actual picture of the ones we are getting, they are still teeny tiny, just barely opened their eyes a few days ago...Here's the backstory...A couple of months ago, the lady that we got both Teddy and Macey from stopped by the house. She said that she had heard what had happened to them and wanted to let us know that she had another litter on the way and that they would most likely be giving them away...So, we debated, and after talking to her, she offered to give us a brother/sister pair for free. It's hard to pass up free. I know it will be alot of work, but I think it will help if they have each other. I'm also looking into crate training them. I've never done it before, but I know of alot of people who have had great success with it so we are going to give it a try. If anyone has any advice on that front, let me know. I'll need all the help I can get! I also have to think up names for them. I think Jeremy tried to tell me he already had a name picked out for the boy, but I'm not sure if he was serious or not. We'll see I guess.

Nothing really new...

to post. Things never really seem to change around here. Tyson had his early Christmas gift this weekend. My sister and BIL took him to see the Bengals play the Raiders in Oakland...The Bengals led the whole game til right at the end when they ended up losing. Tyson was able to get some autographs and a high five from Carson Palmer (his hero) so it even though they lost, it was a good time.

We are eating Thanksgiving with Jeremy's family this year, but luckily since my mom lives here too we are able to visit with everyone. That makes things so much easier.

Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday. Keep my SIL Tonia in your prayers, she's having surgery tomorrow. I'm anxious to see how her recovery goes, I'll most likely be having the same surgery within the next little while....

This is me lately...

literally! I honestly think I've lost my mind! I've been doing the dumbest things lately. The last one that pushed me over the edge was this...I was ready to order some holiday cards. I had 50 free 4 x 6 prints from shutterfly, so I decided it would be cheaper to buy a custom card template from etsy, then use my free ones to print as holiday cards...So, I get it all ready to go with what I thought was the final proof from the etsy girl...I place the order using my free prints. It was only $2.99 for shipping, so total cost so far for 50 cards (including custom template cost)....$12.99...not too shabby...til 5 min later when I get the final proof from the girl, that is better formatted for a 4 x 6 card...So, I cancel the first order, and order the 2nd one...Since I cancelled my first order of my free prints, I had to pay full price for the next order...no biggie...at this point, total cost for 50 cards...$21.02...still not too bad. Fast forward to today. I get my mail and there are my shutterfly prints. I opened them up and noticed I had accidentally ordered them in glossy instead of matte! Kill me now! So, I go back to shutterfly's site and check my order status because I'm just positive I ordered them in matte finish...(for the record, I did, but that was the order I cancelled :( ) Sooooooooooooooooooooooo, I decide to bite the bullet and redo the order. Seems dumb I know, but I really prefer a matte finish and just didn't want to send the cards out in a glossy finish that I wasn't in love with. One thing finally did go my way though, shutterfly had recognized that my original order of free prints was cancelled and had credited me my free prints once again. So, I have placed my 3rd and hopefully final order for my cards...Total (and hopefully final) cost for 50 cards...$24.01. Major props to those who have actually followed and understood this mess! I do have to say, I've learned 2 valuable lessons from this whole thing....

1. Impatience doesn't pay...If I would have just waited a little longer after canceling my first order, they probably would have credited me my free prints again...that's not to say I still wouldn't have ordered glossy instead of matte that time too...which brings me to my next lesson learned...

2. I need to learn to take my own advice I'm constantly giving to Ryan when he comes and tells me to check his room after he's supposedly cleaned it..."Better double check!"

Slacking again...

not that I haven't had time for blogging, but I just haven't made it a priority I guess. What was a priority for a few weeks days? Watching the rest of my Dawson's Creek seasons...I know, I know...I just couldn't help myself! I can tell you some random trivia though, like the fact that Joey Potter was the only one to appear in every single episode...Nice right? Jeremy makes endless fun of me for watching it, but this is coming from the guy who records 4 episodes of Saved by the Bell every morning. That's right, I just called him out and I don't even care! There are just some shows from your youth that you can't let go...Dawson's Creek is mine...Saved By The Bell is his...

I've also been trying to get some Christmas shopping done. I'm getting there, I just need a few more things for the boys and that's about it. I still need to decide if Jeremy and I are buying for eachother or not. We typically don't since we just buy what we want throughout the year anyways. We'll see what we decide though. Well, I need to finish up my dinner. Hope everyone is doing well!

Family Pictures...

So, a friend of ours from High School started doing some photography. She offered way back in July to take our family pictures and I decided to take her up on her offer! Here's a link to the sneak peek...
