Copycat..

Even though I'm never clever enough to come up with good questions, I'm totally going to copy some other bloggers...You can ask me any question you might want to know in my comment section, and I'll answer it...Most likely Friday...so get asking...Nothing much going on here. I'm still having a little bit of a cold but I did pick up a multivitamin to start taking. I know that there were alot of specific recommendations, but I had an impromptu trip to Vegas yesterday so I didn't have any of them with me! Trisha and I took a quick trip to Vegas yesterday. We met Jason at his office and he took us to lunch at the Great Harvest Bread Co. Yum. They put a little too much salt on my sandwich, but it was still good. Plus, they have the best choc chip scones there. We had to drop something off for Trisha's BIL so we did that and then headed to Wal-Mart. We had to be quick because we needed to be home by 6:00. We just finished up there and then picked up Jason to head home. We got home right in time. We had to go to Pack Meeting (UGH!) I know, I'm such a pack meeting nazi, but they just drag on...and on...and on...lol. Luckily it's only once a month. So Tyson is having the hardest time stopping activity. He keeps running even though he knows he's not supposed to. I'm afraid the dr is going to end up putting casts on his feet. We keep warning him but it doesn't help too much. We haven't been letting him go play football in the yard like he normally does, he hasn't been doing PE but one day a week they do health and recess. One of his teachers last night was telling me that he was playing football at recess and he asked him about it and Tyson said that he was allowed to do recess, just not PE. Whatever. He's the one that's going to have to suffer the conscequences. Oh, I forgot to put in my last post, my back is doing so much better. Thank goodness. I have been so bad with eating lately! Why is it that when you're not feeling good you want to eat so crappy! I haven't even weighed since I had my good 4.6 lb loss. I'm starting a biggest loser with some friends on Friday so hopefully you'll be hearing some good reports from me!

Freezing!

So, is anyone else freezing their butts off? Ugh. It’s so cold here. It hasn’t passed 45 degrees as far as I know. I know that’s not really that cold, but for me, it’s COLD! So I finished my antibiotics on Friday that I was taking for my ear infection and strep throat…I already have another cold! My immune system is so crappy. Especially in the cold months. During the warm months, I never get sick but during winter it seems to be one thing after the other. So nothing else really going on here. I've been working on calendars for my Mia Maids so they will know what's going on. We just got a new Presidency and I'm already second guessing myself on who I put in as President! She did call 2 really dependable girls as her counselors though so I'm hoping it will work out. Tyson has pack meeting tomorrow...Does anyone else hate pack meeting? I know, I'm such a mean witch...It just seems like there are way too many things to do during the week as is....So Happy Birthday to Sarah! She turned the big 2-8 today...Check out her blog to wish her Happy Birthday if you already haven't and she also has an awesome post about Gordon B. Hinckley on there. He was such a good prophet. Sad that he won't be leading our church anymore, but I'm glad that he's reunited with his sweet wife again. He always talked about how he missed her so much. So is anyone else so sad about Heath Ledger? I just hate to hear of someone so young dying. I mean, he was my age! He had such a promising career too. Sad. I'm hoping that he died of natural causes. I hate when people automatically assume the worst about people. I guess I'm an optimist. Well, I have to go get started on dinner. Have a good week!

Thursday..

Yeah, once again, that's how clever I am right now...So none of us had work or school on Monday so we were cleaning the house. I was cleaning the boys toilet and all of a sudden I have this pinched nerve feeling in my lower back. I could barely move. I have this happen quite a bit actually, but it usually goes away after an hour or so. Well, not this time. It hurt so bad all day I could hardly even move. It's gotten much better, but it's still hurting a little even today. I have some muscle relaxers and pain pills that the dr gave me for it which leads me to my next story...Last night, I had taken my muscle relaxer and a lortab and went to sleep. All of a sudden, I hear Tyson yelling. So I get up and look at the clock, 10:50 p.m...I go in to find Ryan's bedroom light on and Tyson is standing in the doorway yelling "Ryan, wake up and get ready..." Ryan was just sitting on his bed looking all sad and squinty eyed. I looked at Tyson and noticed that his hair was wet like he had been in the shower and he was fully dressed, shoes and all. So I ask him what's up and he says "Ryan needs to get up and get ready so we aren't late..." So, since I was on my drugs and was a bit loopy, I decided to take a second look at Tyson's alarm clock to double check the time, you know, thinking maybe I was the crazy one because of my pain pills. Sure enough 10:50...I'm like, "Dude, it's only a few hours after bedtime, go back to sleep..." When we got up this morning, I wondered if Tyson would even remember it happening. He is a big time sleep walker/talker and he never remembers anything in the morning. He remembers what happened last night and after talking to him he told me that his alarm went off and since he was still really tired, he didn't even look at the time, just got up to get in the shower...I guess someone must have messed with his alarm or something. lol. I felt bad, he was all ready to go and he told me this afternoon that the whole time he was in the shower he kept wondering why he was so tired. lol. Funny. Then the phone rang at like 3 a.m. for Jeremy to go to work so my night was so crazy. I had to sleep light since Jeremy wasn't home to be sure the kids were up in time for school. Tyson usually wakes up and then makes sure Ryan is up too. Jeremy is usually getting ready for work at the time so he's able to make sure everything is going as it needs to be. So we are all tired today. I'm making a pork loin and some au gratin potatoes for dinner, I can't wait, it's already smelling so good. Jeremy is supposed to play basketball tonight like he does every Thursday but we'll see how tired he is. Nothing really planned for the weekend. Jess is coming up with the kids so we'll probably spend alot of time at my mom's house. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Almost a week since I posted...

Things have been busy. Monday during the day my throat started to feel funny. I knew something was coming on..By Monday night, I woke up in the night with a bad sore throat, fever and super achy back and neck. Went to the dr Tuesday and sure enough, strep throat and another ear infection. Friday Tyson had a dr appt. He has always had pain in his lower legs and feet. When Jeremy was about 6, he had to have surgery on both his feet where they had to cut and stretch his achillies tendons and also place silicone implants between some of the bones of his feet. I had hoped Tyson would not have to have the same thing. In the past year or so, his foot pain has gotten progressively worse. When he takes off his shoes once he's in the house, he walks really gingerly. You know how when you have no shoes on and you are walking on gravel or rocks? That's how he would walk inside the house on the carpet. So I decided it was time to get him an appt at the podiatrist to see what we could do for him. I randomly looked one up in our insurance book and made an appt. He was so great! His name is Dr. Gubler and everyone in his office is really nice. He's LDS which I thought was kind of funny, I thought he was and told my mom after Tyson's appt that he "seemed" LDS, turns out, he is. Funny. Anyways, he examined Tyson's feet and was sure he knew what the problem was. He took x rays to be certain. Sure enough, something called Sever's Disease. It's where the growth plate on the heel can come seperated from the rest of the bone. Tyson's x rays showed it as plain as day and also some fractures on the growth plate. Ouch! So, he's sidelined on any type of activity for now. That's the only way to heal it since it's basically caused by overuse. He can't do PE or anything. He has to take anti inflammatories, ice his heels 2-3 times a day and I had to put 1/2" lifts in the heels of his shoes to give more support. He'll go back in 3 weeks and if it's not better, the dr said he might have to put casts on! Poor kid, I don't want that to happen so hopefully the home therapy will help. We were able to go see my sister and her kids. I hadn't seen Colin since he was born and that had been 2 weeks ago! He's getting so big! He's already up to 9 lbs! He's a good baby. Jeremy and I went on a date to St. George on Saturday. I guess you could call it that. He needed a haircut so we left the kids with the Grandma's and we headed over there. We ate at Outback and then went to Coldstone for some ice cream. So good. Not so good for my diet though. This whole week has been horrible though, I might hold off on weighing for another week so I can get back on track! Hope everyone's had a great week!

I weighed in today...

and I'm down 4.6 lbs! When I did WW in the past, I always weighed in on Mondays and even though I had quit a long time ago, it's still been a habit of mine to weigh in every Monday morning. I'm so excited because it's only been since Wednesday that I lost the weight. I was nervous too because I had decided that each week I would allow myself one meal where I didn't count points and didn't worry about any of it. Yesterday Trisha and Jason and the kids came over for dinner and we had chicken fried steak with potatoes and country gravy, sweet white corn, then we ended up having Lehi Roller Mills Brownies and vanilla ice cream. It was so good but I felt so stuffed last night I was worried I wouldn't be down too much! Hope everyone else who is working on this finds success this week.

Not much new this week. There never is these days! Tyson started piano on Wednesday and he seems to like it so far. My friend says she's pretty sure he's going to fly right along in it. Which is good, maybe he'll learn to play well and then he can teach me! He is really good with memory stuff so I'm thinking he'll have no problem with it. This week will be a little more relaxing than most. We don't have Mutual this week because there are home BB games Wednesday night. We've got to go to Vegas on Friday for a dr appointment so that means I'll get to see my sweet baby Colin. He will be 2 weeks old by then! I haven't seen him since the day he was born. That's hard. When Jess had Jaidyn, she was living here in town so I got to see her all the time, plus, when she went back to work, I baby sat Jaidyn when she was just a sweet tiny baby. Now I know how my sisters felt back then. They lived far away and didn't get to see her very often. Now it's flipped, I'm the one far away and they can go see the kids whenever they want.

Trisha and I are trying to think of something to do for my birthday. For the past few years we have gone to St. George to the Parade of Homes. I'm thinking after last years sprained ankle debacle we are going to skip that. lol. Any ideas? My birthday is in just over a month so get your brains working! Hope everyone has a great week!

I've come to the realization..

that Jeremy indeed has an addiction. He's not addicted to drugs or alcohol, but something just as deadly...ITUNES! I swear I could beat the man! He is so addicted to his music! I'll get the receipt in my email and it will be for $3 here, $7 there, but that's 2 and 3 times a week! We have thousands of songs on our itunes, but out of the 276 purchased songs on there, literally 50 of them are mine! About 20 combined are Tyson and Ryan's and the rest are his. Ugh! Talk about going broke because of a stupid addiction! I threatened to change the password on him so that I would have to authorize song purchases, lol, we'll see if it actually comes to that.
Things here are going along as they normally do. Our new church schedule seems like it will be okay. Although, we found out on Sunday that we were enrolled in the Preach my Gospel class that's starting soon. Huh? I've already taken the class and we were actually looking forward to starting to go to Sunday school instead of sitting in the hall the 2nd hour spreading the gospel/gossip...I'm back on track with my weight watchers. Doesn't it suck when your metabolism changes? I used to be able to eat what I wanted and it never affected me. I had done so good on WW in the past so I figured now is a good time to get back on track. Trisha and I are both going to keep eachother motivated. Although, last time we counted on each other to do that, we started out together, she fell off the wagon right away and I did really well and lost my weight, then I tapered off and she started doing really well and lost her weight. We'll see. But I'm on day 3 of counting points and so far it's been fairly easy to stay under points. What helps me is eating a good breakfast, if I do that, I'm good to just have a snack of yogurt or an apple or whatever and I'm good til dinner. Hopefully I can keep it up. I have gained somewhere around 15 lbs since I started taking BC pills in May, between that, and the holidays, it's not good. Hope everyone is doing well!

For all you idea stealers...

Here are some better pics, hopefully you will be able to click on these ones to make them bigger so you can see in more detail.

Here is the info... It's about 37" wide and about 9.5" tall...The name boards are 2.5" wide and 1.25" tall. She just cut, routered, sanded the board and then painted it. She put the vinyl on and then put these little hooks in the bottom of each month...
Then she painted and applied the vinyl to each name card. Since they hang underneath the month they are in, the name card only needs to have the persons name and day of the month that their birthday is on. Then she put the little circle hanging thing (I can't think of the name) in the top of the name cards...
Some of them need the circle hanging things on the top and bottom depending on how many birthdays their are in that month, then you just use S hooks to connect them all together...
So that's that! I love this so much and can't wait til I get my side of the family's name cards so it can be complete. Like Christina said, this would be such a cute gift idea for Grandma's especially.

So nothing really new is going on here. The kids started back to school which was good. They were starting to drive me crazy! Ryan had been out FOREVER since he had his surgery before the break, he had a whole extra week of vacation! Tyson starts his piano lessons tomorrow. Finally, it's been forever since I talked to my friend about doing them, but she was in the middle of building her new house, so she wanted to get settled before she started back up again. I'm going to have my monthly girls lunch today at noon. I hate how not everyone can make it because of kids and whatnot. Sucks. It's my friend Emilee's birthday so we'll be having a fun lunch. Also, it's Trisha's baby's 4th birthday today! Madelyn was just a baby when we got to be friends. She's seriously the cutest thing.

This is from May of 06, but she is still just as cute, only older lol. She's getting a Baby Alive that poops. Fun times. We got her this barbie phone that calls you and you can personalize it so that it says her name and her siblings and friends names. I'm sure Trisha will love to have it calling all hours of the day and night! lol.

Jess and Colin were able to come home from the hospital yesterday. He's doing good. Good baby so far. He's a good eater. He's downing a 2 oz bottle every few hours! Looks like Jess and Eric are heading right in the same direction as Jeremy and I...Broke because of our kids appetites!

He's here...

and he's not quite the monster he was hyped up to be! All this talk for the past few months of him being so big....Colin James was born yesterday just before 4 p.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz and 19 1/2 inches long...Not small by any means, but not quite the monster we thought he would be. Jess was actually scheduled for her surgery at 2:30 but the dr had been delivering at a hospital across town, so they were a little behind schedule...Here are a few pics, they are from my cell phone so they aren't the best quality...He has alot lighter hair than Jaidyn did when she was born and his face isn't quite as chubby.

He is a good eater. He was totally chowing down on his bottle just about an hour after he was born. He's cute. Jess says he's alot more vocal than Jaidyn was. Hopefully it will continue to be in a good way! Tyson and Ryan had stayed home with a babysitter while I took my Grandma down so that we could go and see Colin and Jess at the hospital. It was cute because Tyson had known Jess was supposed to have him around 2:30 so I had called him around 3:30 and was chatting away when all of a sudden he said..."Wait, has Colin been born yet?" He and Ryan are so cute with their little cousins. Tyson is the oldest, then Ryan, then my niece who is 1 1/2 years younger than Ryan, then after her, there is over 2 years until the next... so there is quite a gap between Tyson and the younger ones. Jeremy's sister has 2 cute boys who are 2 1/2 and 11 months and they are so cute with them. They play with them and the boys love them. Tyson and Ryan both call them "Buddy" which I think is so cute. They also call Jaidyn "Sweetie" I just think it's so cute how loving they are with them.

Tomorrow is the first day of our new church schedule. Each year we switch with the other ward, so now this year, we are not only moving to the afternoon block, but they also switched things around so we have YM/YW and RS and Priesthood the first hour, then Sunday School and then Sacrament the last hour. I'll be fine for it, but I feel for those who have little kids, I think that would be a nightmare! I have to teach all the YW tomorrow. Each fast sunday, a member of the Presidency teaches the combined lesson and it's come around to my turn again! Hopefully it will go okay. I've been a little nervous, just because I'm introducing the new theme for the year so that means I kind of have to wing it as far as having a lesson outline to go off of. I have found a few good talks online so I'm thinking it will be okay. Jeremy is off at Trisha's house helping Jason get her new washer and dryer set into the house and set up. Her washer had broken so she wanted to get a new one. We were in the market for a new dryer because ours was on it's last leg. It was seriously so loud, it sounded like a tank driving through the house! Anyways, she called from Lowe's to see if we wanted her to pick us up a new dryer while she was there...Then we decided to go ahead and buy hers because she figured if she was getting a new washer, she might as well get a matching dryer...Anyways, this is the one we got from her...She also gave us the matching washer and said that she figured Jeremy would probably be able to fix it. Sweet deal. Hopefully he can get it going and we will be in business! Jason told Jeremy that his sister needs a new washer so if we get this one going, she will buy ours from us. Jeremy told him she can just have it. I guess it's just a game of pass along! Speaking of Jason, Jeremy's brother Jason's girlfriend Leslie made me the cutest thing for Christmas. It's a birthday board and it has names and dates for everyone in the family. She wasn't able to get my side of the family's names and dates without spoiling the surprise so I gave them to her and she's going to get them done so I can hang them on it too. So cute. She's very crafty. She's a fun cute girl and I wish that Jason would marry her already and get her and her cute son Brock officially into the family! Here's a pic! (Once again, from my cell, sorry it's not the best quality!)

Already been a week...

since my last post? I really need to get with it! I'm hoping that now that the boys will be heading back to school on Monday we'll get back into routine and schedule...which you all know I thrive on! This past week has been so busy! I went back to work the day after Christmas, just for Wed and Thursday...We headed to Vegas Friday for Ryan's surgery follow up. The dr said he's healing perfectly and can eat and do any activities he wants. Good thing, he's been back on the chicken fingers and fries by like day 4 or 5...Saturday I dropped the kids off with my sister for them to stay the weekend and go to the Cardinals game. I headed in to St. George with my unofficial soon to be sister in law. She and Jeremy's brother are planning on getting married, just no official ring yet. She's fun, she fits right in and we get along really well. Jeremy, his brother Jason and our other BIL Aaron had headed to Brianhead to snowboard that day so we just shopped and hung out in St. George all day. Sunday we just hung out, nothing too big. Monday we had to head to Vegas to pick up the boys from my sister. They had a really fun time at the game, but had to leave at the end of the 3rd quarter to catch their flight. We did absolutely nothing for New Years Eve which is the way that I like it. I'm not a good late night person. Yesterday I just sat around watching a couple Lifetime movies! I haven't watched them in years but I did realize that it's a good thing I have a job, or that might become my new permanent job! They are so addicting! 2 of them were made from Nora Robert's books. My sister owns every book she's ever written I think, but I've never read them. I might start borrowing some. The movies were really good. I'll pass the info along to Trisha to post a pic of the bling. I have one on my phone, but it probably won't be the best quality to post. Ooh, speaking of, I got a new phone on Friday and I love it! Any of you Verizon girls needing a new phone, I highly reccomend it...It's the enV, here's a pic..

Well, my sister is scheduled for a c section on Friday afternoon. We'll go Saturday to have a look at her monster baby so I'll post over the weekend with pics of him.
