Just Ella

Here's some random pictures and videos of Ella. She is amazing to us so it is no wonder that we already have over a thousand pictures and videos of our little 8 month old. Enjoy: (above is a photo of Ella's hair. I was trying to show how long it was in the front. She has a point that goes nearly down to the level of her eyebrows!)

Ella is 8 Months Old!

February 9, 2009 Ella turned 8 months old. We were in Washington visiting family so that is why this hasn't been posted until now. Here are some of Ella's accomplishments this past month:

Ella can pick up food and put it into her mouth all by herself, including eating noodles from a bowl or plate, Ella has learned to military crawl (as previously posted), Ella can shut Mommy and Daddy's laptop all by herself, Ella can eat 2 number 2 baby foods for lunch and for dinner (breakfast she eats half of a jar of fruit with oatmeal cereal and formula), Ella has learned to clap (YAY!) and since she has been 8 months old she has learned to crawl (post to come). Ella has also been on an airplane and did so well on her first flight. We are so proud of her and are constantly clapping and shouting "hooray!" for all of the fun things she does and learns to do each and every day. She's amazing!

*The photo opening this post is of mermaid Ella. Apparently she had a wardrobe malfunction during the night and decided to put both legs in one leg hole of her pajamas. Silly girl!

The "Military" Crawl

Ella has been fervently practicing since the last time I posted about her attempts of crawling, and she has finally succeeded in accomplishing a more advanced means of travel. Ella started off slowly but now I can say that she has pretty much perfected the "Military Crawl" aka "Army Crawl" (can't just say Army because Ella's Grandpa Winston and Uncle Bryan were/are in the Air Force, but Uncle Brandon is in the Army, so the name "Military Crawl" was formed). Here is Ella in her "Military Crawl" attire:

Uncle Bryan flew into Salt Lake from Tech School in Texas on Friday January 23rd and stayed the night with us. Above are pictures of Uncle Bryan with Ella before he left for Rexburg. Cousin Brayden was born 8 hours after Uncle Bryan got back to Rexburg, talk about close call!

Here are Ella's demonstrations of her new technique:

Ella is so so close to crawling. I just know it is something that she will all of a sudden do like she did with sitting up. I can't imagine what it will be like because she is already into everything she shouldn't be into, lol. Look out! Here she comes!
