Couples Stay-cation!
The time finally arrived for Ben and I to have a week off! The Lindermans were ready for our kiddos! Ben and I decided to stay and play around our own backyard. We got some projects done and then we had fun skiing, eating out a ton, riding our bikes to the Capital and generally just enjoying being together! Such a great refresher!

Xanders first Du-athalon
Xanders friend Andrew invited us to join them in a Du-athalon. It was a wet and cold day but Xander did awesome! He came in 4th on the run. Then as he transitioned to the bike, his bike malfunctioned because I overinflated his tire. Lucky for me there was a professional that fixed it. Xander left pretty late because of that but he came in way ahead of the kids who he left with. He hauled on the bike! I was so proud of him for taking a deep breath and grinding it when he was so frustrated! I hope to be able to find more activities like this for him somday!! (problem is they are usually on Sundays :() Way to go Xander!

Eight is Great!
8 is a big age in our family/culture! At 8, children are allowed to choose whether they would like to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Eliza chose to be baptized so be baptized and so we put together her baptism for January 9th! I had my wedding dress taken apart to have a skirt made for her. Nothing brought me more joy than seeing her wear a piece of my dress!
The day of Elizas Baptism was a beautiful winter morning. So much family was able to attend. Xander gave a beautiful talk about why we are baptized and how we can follow our Savior Jesus Christ. At Eliza's request, he also played his cello with Grandma Bonnie on the piano, "Families Can Be Together Forever." Nana gave a talk on how the Holy Ghost can lead and guide us in this life while we are separated from our Heavenly Father. Ben was able to baptism Eliza. Violet and Abby both gave prayers. It was such a beautiful day and we are so proud of Eliza for choosing to follow in His footsteps.

Happy BIrthday Eliza
Eight seems like the start of a new phase in childhood and I cannot believe Eliza is 8! Eliza Joy Webster is quite the girl! She tries so hard to be understood and helpful. She is beautiful both in and out and would do anything for her friends. Eliza has lots of goals but one that is consistently stated is her desire to be a teacher. She LOVES school and learning and LOVES her teachers fiercely. We had a great date with Eliza at Panda Express and Leatherbys. Eliza got lucky for her birthday this year because we won a silent auction item of a birthday party at a karate store!
