Luke Bryan & Flordia Georgia Line

Immediately following the triathlon, Ben whisked me away to my very first concert.  And we did it in style...box seats in a brand new stadium.  It was quite the drive but we had fun holding hands and dancing the night away.  And since I had done the tri before I might have overindulged in all the amazing food that the box had to offer!

My First Triathlon!

A few years ago I said I was going to do a sprint triathlon.  I kind of gave up on it but Ben overheard a woman at church talking about one.  I registered right away so that I wouldn't have any excuses.  I am SO, GLAD!  It kept me working out through the entire swim season which is no easy feat.  My goal was to finish in less than 2 hours and 30 minutes...I made it at 2:26!  My official places were as follows: swim .5 miles-- 6th place (15:07), Bike 20 miles-- 11th place (1:22.05) and Run 4 miles-- 15th place (49:03).And I felt so good after!  I mean, I wasn't sore at all.  I can't wait to do it again.  Who is with me??

Corduroys Visit Home

Nothing beats kindergarten traditions!  Violet was the first in her class to bring Corduroy home!  She made sure that he went everywhere with her--even to her very first piano lesson!  What a wonderful weekend.

First day of Preschool

This little one is all set to start school.  It couldn't come soon enough.  She changed preschool groups but is super excited for new friends. 

Friends make everything better!

Abby finally got better and got to celebrate with her friends and have her Minnie Mouse cake.

 I was giddy excited to give you your gift.  And you haven't stopped playing with it for over an hour.

 So sorry that you're sick.  But you are beautiful my little angel!

Our little miss celebrated turning 4 with a stomach bug.  :( So super sad.  You are trying to be happy and then you use your energy and fall back asleep.  Stay strong, it will pass!

In In staying with tradition, we got Brenner, Abby and Millen together to celebrate turning 4.  We got smart though and used the club pool so we had lifeguards.

Xanders job is to walk Violet to her classroom before he heads to his.  I love watching him walk her, hand in hand, and give her a hug.  Such a great big brother

Violet was so excited when she brought home her first homework assignment.  She got started on it right away.

Park Fun

We joined some friends for ice cream to celebrate school starting.  And then when we went to the park and the water was on.  I had a major realization.  I realized that I had not let the kids run around in their clothes and be sporadic at a park since Violet was born.  Parks and me haven't mixed since then.  But I let them loose in their clothes and we thankfully found one towel in the trunk to share!  And fun was had by all!

 

 We also got to play with our cousin Jack a bunch and love having a little friend and cousin close to home!

First Day of School

Hang on to your hats and fill the gas tank...I have 3 kids in school!  Xander started 4th grade, Eliza started 2nd and Violet is in kindergarten. We are so excited for a great year!

Six Flags!

It was time for our annual trip to Six Flags with the tickets we earned for reading LOTS!  We rode the rides, we ate funnel cakes, we got soaking wet and had a blast...we partied from opening until the kicked us off the rides...

This has been such a fun tradition!  And I look forward to many more summer trips!
