Love my little cowboys! They were so excited that their old costumes still fit!

Easter/Spring Duds
I broke down and bought brand new dresses for the girls for "Easter". But then I couldn't even wait for that! First day of spring and we broke out the dresses, so beautiful!

Snow Day
Intel put on a snow field trip and we were lucky enough to have our name drawn for tickets! We had a BLAST! Sledding will never be the same after being totally spoiled at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Don't think you need any more words--the pictures say it all!

ToO cUtE!
The little girls have LOVED watching the big sister at ballet. They would dance from the side lines and mimic the big girls :)
Eliza has been super into doing her hair again and has learned to braid! She braids everything right now and is begging for me to teach her to French braid.
In preparation for the upcoming swim season, I splurged on some goggles for the little girls (ok they were only $2/pair):

Never in 8 years!
Its hard to see, I know but Ben took the kids to Grandpas house one Saturday morning and took them swimming, he came back around 3 pm and ALL of them were asleep. That NEVER happens! WOW! maybe Daddy should just take Saturday duty ALL of the time!

Preschool Fun & Friends
Busy bees are certainly busy! Violet and her friends are so fun to teach every few weeks. So much fun! I love watching them learn and grow. I especially love how they know their Pledge of Allegiance--it's so fun to see these little guys stand, salute and pledge. So fabulous!

Pea Soup
For a school project, Xander had to use a recipe to make something, write out the recipe, and bring samples to the class. Xander poured over my recipe books and his list was 50 recipes long! Good thing he doesn't know how to use Pinterest! ;) After much debate, he chose to make Split Pea Soup. I am DEAD SERIOUS.
We got all the ingredients:
Xander had a really hard time to chopping the onions so I taught him a technique I had used many years ago
After dinner was made, he rallied his sisters to make some dessert
And he served his soup to a VERY happy crowd
I took a crock pot of soup to the class later that week and only 2 kids wouldn't try it and several had seconds. I LOVE my kids cooking! I still get nervous when they use the stove but they are good about waiting for me before using it! :)

BBall Wrap Up
Xander finished off the season hard with his best game ever! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot during basketball this year and are looking forward to next year. Each week, Coach passed out an award for some part of the boys game that he noticed was really good-Xander received 'Hustle', 'Rebounds' x 2, 'Steals', 'Defense' x 2. He really did work hard this season and we are so proud with how he developed!

Fair = Equal
According to our 6 & 8 year olds, life is not fair unless it is completely equal. Therefore, since Xander got to go to a Kings game, Eliza should get to go too. We don't go out of our way to promote this behavior (in fact, it's the exact opposite) but to her delight, Grumpy worked his magic and got some tickets for a Saturday night game. We got there SUPER early, so we got escorted to the floor to watch warm-ups. The players are so TALL! WOW, I don't think I've been that close even. We had a blast. And Eliza felt like the world was a better place.
