Stand, Crawl, Dance!

Macie has been standing for extended periods of time and is doing a great job! Today she was sitting on the floor and the next thing I knew she was standing up, she didn't pull up on anything! She is also doing a little bit of "cruising" but hasn't figured out how to take steps yet.....which is just fine by me!

She's crawls and has been for a while, but she's been a "lazy crawler", until Friday she decided she would crawl...consistently!

What a fun memory! Bryson loves the ABC song and wanted to dance for Macie, as you can see she thought it was HYSTERICAL!!

Honk Ball

After two weeks of rain and cancelled games & practices the Cats got to play their very first baseball game of the season! Bryson was so excited!
The boys decided to warm up for the game by staring intently at this ant mound.....oh look at those ants!
Daddy and Bryson waiting for the ball to come their way.....or come at all, everytime the ball was hit every player on the field would run for it! (And would cry if they didn't get it)

One dad per player.
Bryson's up to bat!
Getting ready to hit the ball......
Swing Batter....
He made it to first base and then proceeded to jump on the honking base over and over again!
Good game.....Go Bearcats!

ER

Bryson came home Monday morning from Dede's house. When he walked in the door I immediately noticed his breathing, he was taking a lot of breaths and they were very shallow. I gave him a breathing treatment and attempted to call the doctor. I could not get thru, I took his temperature, no fever. I decided to go to work, but continued to call the doctor. After a little time at work I finally got thru to the doctor's office and they told me that I needed to count his respirations in a 30 second time frame, I called Debbie and she counted 21 breaths. When I called the doctor back to tell them the results they said that he was in respitory distress and I needed to take him to Cook's right away. I immediately left work, called Cleve and told him his golf game was being cut short, and headed to the house. When I got there I counted his breaths and they were 31 for 30 seconds, basically 1 breath per second. Anyway we got to Cook's and it was insane, people everywhere, no where to sit, CRAZY! Our neighbor works there and said that there was over 600 kids in the ER that day!

We finally got back to see the doctor and Bryson's breathing had gotten worse. They checked him out and said that his resiptory distress and wheezing was triggered by a viral infection. They gave him a oral steroid, huge breathing treatment, then monitored him for a bit, and sent us home with a oral steroid RX and instructions for breathing treatments every 3 hours as needed. We are so thankful that was all it was, with everything else going around we wanted to make sure. I posted an update on my FB status and immediatly so many of you were responding and praying for Bryson, we really appreciated it!

Today Bryson is doing great, even as we were sitting in the hospital and he was having a hard time breathing he was saying, I'm (Breath) Fine (Breath) Mom (Breath). This is not the first time that this has happened, you all may remember the last time I was in LA and had to board the plane not knowing what was going on with my baby, here is a link to the post: http://familybrunson.blogspot.com/2008/03/scare.html

Fire Station

Macie and I went to visit daddy at the fire station the other day. I snapped a pic with my phone, this is the first pic of her & daddy at the fire station and it was long overdue! She was in the best mood and just loved it!

8 months!

Sweet Macie is 8 months old. She has grown and changed so much in the past month, here are some fun things she is up to:
  • According to the baby scale she weighs 18lbs 7oz, she still has her little chubby legs and I love them!
  • She LOVES her big brother, it is so sweet to watch them together she loves for him to run around her and she just cracks up laughing!
  • She crawls but she isn't really "crawling" not at lightening speed just yet. Most of the time she rolls or scoots on her belly where she needs to go but every once in a while she will crawl a little bit.
  • She pulls up from sit to stand, all by herself, all the time!
  • She is standing by herself for long periods of time, either at the incrediblock playing or at her walker. Sometimes she goes from one to the other.
  • She is still an awesome sleeper at night sleeping from 8pm-8am most days. One thing she is not is a napper, her naps are so short lived and it seems that as soon as I put Bryson down for a nap she is waking up from one! I know that she gets this from me, but I really wish she would sleep longer than 45 minutes-1 hour!
  • She has really been exercising her vocal cords a lot these days, she likes to hear her voice!
  • When she gets excited she rocks back and forth and kicks her feet, it is very cute.
  • Recently she started shaking her head no, it is hysterical!
  • She is SO excited that her cousin Ramona will be here in a few weeks she can't wait for another little girl to play with!
  • Her little personality is more and more defined with each day and we just love her so much!

1st day of school

Today was Bryson's first day of Lil Cats Pre-School. He was very excited! The time is just flying by and before I know it he will be starting real school :(

Bryson LOVES school and so do Mommy & Daddy! There are all kinds of fun things on the calendar for the year and we can't wait!

Alaska

Cleve, his brother & some friends went on a trip to Alaska. They had a blast! Cleve's Aunt, Uncle & cousins live there and Cleve & J.W. lived there for about 4 years so it was the perfect excuse to visit family and get back to nature! They stayed in Cleve's cousin Bart & Brooke's cabin in the middle of no where for 6 days, hunting, fishing and doing guy things!
Isn't this beautiful?!

Standing Tall

Macie is officially pulling up all by herself, she LOVES the incrediblock (the toy in the picture)

Bryson got a new little chair and he wanted his, "Sweet Baby Macie" to sit in it with him! It was so cute!
I know the picture is a little blurry but you can actually see her standing without holding on to anything, she has been doing this lately, she stands by herself for about 5-10 seconds and then grabs on to something or falls over. She will crawl or roll from one spot to another but she isn't crawling at lightening speed yet, she prefers other modes of transportation :)

Uncle Cody's FB Game

We went to Uncle Cody's football game last week. Bryson really enjoyed wearing his helmet. He cried when it was time for the game to start and he had to give it back to him. He is all about being a real football player. The game was good despite some inclimate weather, ACS won 34-18 and Cody made 3 touchdowns and passed for one. As we were leaving Cody scored a touchdown and Bryson yelled, "Go Uncle Cody!" It was so cute. We are so proud of Cody!
Aunt Amber, still in the tummy Ramona and Macie. This picture was taken exactly 1 month from her due date!

Lindy's SUPRISE Wedding!

One of my best friends from college and former roomies, got married on Saturday! It was a SUPRISE....yes, that's right a SUPRISE wedding! Her and her now husband Jason had planned on a March 2010 wedding in Vegas and then found out that her sister was pregnant and due March 2010 they decided to elope to Vegas over Labor day weekend and get married by themselves, since it was so stressful for Lindy to try to plan everything. Lindy kept telling Jason that is what she wanted, but he knew better.

He knew that in her heart she wanted her family to be there to witness and celebrate this special day with her. So he planned an entire wedding and told her he was going out of town on business. She thought she was going to his parents house for bridal pictures, but SUPRISE she was really getting married!! It was so sweet and perfect! Lindy was a beautiful bride and I had the honor of being the matron of honor and got to stand up for her, I am so happy for her and I pray that God will bless her and Jason as they begin this new chapter of their lives!

Amber's Shower

Saturday I hosted Amber's baby shower at my house, she had a wonderful turn out, got so many great things for little Ramona and is so cute pregnant! p.s. I made the bow hanger in the picture above for her to hang all of Ramona's bows on!
Her cake was amazing....yummy! Now we are just counting down the days until we get to meet that sweet little baby girl!
p.s. I am so sad that in the madness of everything we forgot to take a picture together :( We'll have to do that at her next shower!
