Mandy's Baby Shower

My friend Mandy from college is prego & expecting at the end of May. (Avery Mae) Her baby shower was yesterday. She doesn't really like pink, but she got plenty of it!
Mandy & I.
Me, Mandy & Melve (Jennifer)
Mandy's sister is really crafty and made all of the decorations & gave homemade cookbook party favors to each guest. I was impressed!

Kendall Nicole

Our friends, Randy & Ashley & their precious baby girl Kendall were here this weekend from Lake Jackson to introduce everyone to Kendall.
Meredith & I went to meet her, she is just precious with the cutest little red curly hair you ever have seen! Congrats to the proud parents! p.s. they have a blog it is one of my links (Dane Family)

iPhone=Obsession

Bryson is obsessed with our new iPhones. He picks them up and says, "Hello" and talks on them.
He loves the iPod feature and likes to hold the phone and dance. Of course his favorite part is getting to watch Elmo & Thomas the Train on You Tube.
My how times have changed since Cleve and I were his age!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter sunday celebrating the Lord's resurection! Both of our families came to our house to celebrate. We had a wonderful meal, got to visit with everyone, colored eggs, hunted eggs the whole nine yards. Bryson was so funny when we had our egg hunt he didn't want to put any eggs in the basket he just wanted to hold all of the eggs that he could in his hands. It was a great way to celebrate the special occasion.

Thanks to all of our family for joining us!

Easter Photo Shoot!

I wanted to get Bryson's pics taken for Easter but I have been so busy that I just went to plan B and took them in the backyard. I thought they turned out pretty good considering I'm quite the amateur photographer.
Look at that cutie!
This is his, "Mom quit taking pictures of me look"
Same picture as the top just in black and white. I couldn't decide which I liked better. Don't his teeth look so cute? I just love my little boy!

Horton Hears a....

Who! Bryson and I had a little mommy son time today. So we went to see Bryson's very first movie in the movie theater. Bryson did exceptionally well. He got wiggly a couple of times but it was nothing a little apple juice or goldfish couldn't cure. The movie was really cute and very animated, which helped keep Bryson's attention! I keep asking Bryson if he had fun at the movies and he says "MOMIES!"

Then they went to go visit soon-to-be Uncle John's house. Bryson was introduced to the wonderful world of REAL Drums....wow....video to follow!
Last but not least they stopped at the Benbrook Park for some play time. Bryson LOVES his Aunt Jo Jo!

Happy B-day Garrett!

Saturday was Garrett's 2nd Birthday. His party was at this place called Jumping Party in Fort Worth. It is a huge warehouse with nothing but blow up bounce houses, slides, & obstacle courses!
Bryson & Daddy had so much fun climbing thru everything.
We all jumped in the bounce house.
Bryson slid down the monster slide.
Of course he and Garrett were running around like crazy boys from one thing to the next. It was a blast!

Cake Time

When it was time for the cake everyone was ready for some of that famous cake!
Bryson and Garrett sat next to each other at one point Garrett put his arm around Bryson, it was so cute!
Yummy Cake!
Bryson got Garrett a pair of swim trunks, a matching shirt & this cool dump truck, mommy didn't know that it made noise until Meredith called me this morning to leave me a message of the earth shattering noise....oops! Sorry, I guess they will be returning the favor in 7 months.
Miss Sadie Faith was as fashionable as ever in her super cute outfit and bow. She slept most of the party but decided she would join us for cake!

Fire Truck

Bryson has become obsessed with fire trucks. We aren't really sure if this is because daddy is a fireman, or if it is just a normal boy thing. He will carry a fire truck in each hand, put them on the floor and push them around saying "woo woo woo" I got him these fire truck pajamas and they have been a huge hit, he is actually excited to put them on and go to bed!
The other day we got to make a trip up to the fire hall to see daddy and eat dinner. When we were getting ready to leave the house I asked him if he wanted to go the firehall, he shook his head yes. I said do you want to see the fire truck? He shook his head yes then ran to get his big fire truck. He would NOT let go of it so it came along for the ride. Once we arrived at the station it was non-stop. Bryson got to sit up in the fire truck and "drive" as well as touch all of the buttons, listen to the siren & watch the lights. He was elated. Then the tone went off and the fireman jumped on the truck to go to a call. Bryson was AMAZED! Seriously the look on his face was priceless, I wish I had a picture. Is this a phase or is this a foreshadowing....I guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out!

Visit with Ang & Kids!

Angela, one of my best friends from college days & Zeta, was in town from Nashville this past week. We got together to visit & let the kids play. Angela has her hands full with two little ones: Elijah, 2 & Aviah, 5 months.
Bryson was VERY interested in the baby, he just wanted to hug her kiss her hold her. I guess he is practicing for when he gets to be a big brother!
Elijah smiling for the camera.
Sweet Aviah! I miss Angela and wished she lived here so we could see each other more often. It was great seeing her & her beautiful babies!

Playing with Aunt Apryle

Aunt Apryle came and spent the night on Friday....she read Bryson a bedtime story, "The Cat in the Hat"
They played with all of his toys. Bryson loves Aunt Apryle and all weekend was calling her Apee. He is so lucky to have such a fun Aunt!
