18 months of Henry

This kid.

This kid is 1.5 years old and he's never been better. And while 550 some odd days may not be a whole lot of life experience, he sure seems to have this living thing down. He lives enthusiastically and joyfully. Every. Single. Day. He waves at everyone he sees. He runs and climbs and falls (a lot). He loves "ba-ball" (basketball). He hauls around baby dolls and stuffed animals and tries on his sister's pinkest dresses. He dances. The Hungry Little Caterpillar is, fittingly, his favorite story. There isn't a food he won't try. (But he's especially fond of chocolate chips. And bananas.) He's got a lot of hugs and he's not afraid to share them. High-fives might cost you, though, he'll palm you in the eye just for giggles. He's a pretty funny guy.

So Henry, you weirdo, just keep doing what you're doing, and maybe the rest of us will learn a thing or two. Our home is so much more joyful and busy and messy with you in it, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

In March . . .

We enjoyed our laid back version of spring break.

Henry just HAD to do everything Lilly did.

I got 10 inches of hair cut off and donated it. On a whim.

Lilly climbed every tree.

Henry had an eye infection, but he was still happy.

We participated in "The Great Sausage Fest of 2015."

Some helped more than others. :)

We went to the zoo.

Lilly's outfit was very eye-catching . . .

Someone took note.

Lilly found a new hobby.

And discovered a not-so-hidden talent for posing.

And then, of course, there were all the rest of the wonderfully mundane moments,
which might have looked something like this . . .

But probably not.
