Waking up
So after sleeping all night Tuesday, almost all day Wednesday and all of Wednesday night, Lilly woke up with new found strength and energy. This is a picture of her yesterday. She could all of a sudden hold her head up like that for minutes at a time and rolled over with a little help from me. This morning she rolled from her tummy to her back by herself. It's crazy the difference a week makes.

The Day Dad's been waiting for...
Lilly can finally sit up well enough for Drew to balance her on his hand for a few seconds. I didn't know that this is some weird desire that guys have, but sure enough, when I asked Drew about it a few weeks ago he said he was looking forward to trying it. He got his shot last night. I hope it was everything he thought it would be.

| Lilly is yawning, but I like it because it looks like she is roaring. Or trying to eat me. |

2 Month Stats
Alright, the results are in...
Lilly weighed in at 12 lbs 13 oz and 24 inches at her 2 month checkup today. That puts her in the 95th percentile for both height and weight! This confirms what we already knew. . . she's a big baby. I was nervous for the shots, but she seems to be handling them well. She's mostly just slept since then, so she hasn't had much opportunity to be grumpy. Plus I have been dosing her with tylenol, so hopefully that is helping a little. We're just so glad that she is healthy and happy! (And that she slept 9 hours again last night!)

2 months!
Today Lilly is 2 months old! It's hard to believe it has only been 2 months! It feels like she has always been a part of our lives. She is getting so big, and so are her smiles! We love singing and talking to her and watching her respond. We especially love that she sleeps and naps so well. She has slept 9 hours the past couple nights and 8 hours the two nights before that. It amazes me that she can sleep that long without waking up. I can't even do it. I took these pictures a little while after she woke up this morning at 7.
Here she was yesterday before church:
She was just so cute in her pink dress!
And after church:
We both took a long nap that afternoon. Church with a baby is more tiring than renewing, but we still enjoyed being at our new ward this week.

Moving
Anyway, it's so nice to have more space and to be only a couple blocks away from Lilly's grandparents. We especially like having a separate room for Lilly. . . she is a loud sleeper!
Here are some more pictures of Lilly lately:
Grad School Update
Drew got his first acceptance letter for Grad School! He has been accepted at Texas A&M for their PhD Chemistry program. He also got interviews at the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Utah in their Biochem programs. He gets to fly to Texas for two all expense paid trips in the next couple months, and he gets to spend a couple days at the U. The interviews sound more like vacations to me, I mean the University of Utah includes a day of skiing!? Anyway, we are all very excited!

Growing up
She smiles and interacts more. She's more vocal. She likes when we make funny sounds. She's stronger and when she sits on your lap she likes to straighten her legs and stand up (very wobbly). She's holding her head up for longer. She's wearing size 2 diapers. She's getting close to 13 lbs (12.5 lbs last week using our scale at home) She's fitting into her 3-6 month clothes (hooray for a new wardrobe!). She's growing more hair!
She's going longer periods at night without eating, too, which is the most exciting development. Last night she slept almost 7 hours! That is a first, but hopefully not a last. She ate at 9, was asleep a little before 10:30, and didn't wake up again until shortly after 5 to eat. Actually she may have just eaten in her sleep, because I don't think her eyes really opened. I fed her and put her back in bed until she woke up at 8. I think she likes waking up at 8, or maybe that's just when I like her to wake up. But usually that's when her eyes finally open and she looks around and smiles. It's very cute. She's also getting better at staying asleep during naps. I can put her in her crib and she will stay sleeping instead of waking up as soon as I'm not holding her. Maybe we're getting better, too, at reading her cues, but I don't want to take any credit. She is just a very good girl. She does cry, but usually not for very long and it often has to do with gas. Once she gets it out she calms down. Or she cries a few times to let us know she's done being awake and then she calms down and falls asleep.
Lilly will be 7 weeks old this Wednesday. I can't wait to see how much more she'll grow before she's 2 months old in a couple more weeks!
