Birthday Boy!

Brady turned ONE on the 20th!  This year has gone by quickly.  So glad to have this cute little guy in our family.  He truly has been just what we needed.  We love him more than anything!
We had a party for him at my parents on Saturday night.  From my family, my parents, Grandma Melville, Rebe and the Valquintos were there.  Dave's parents and the Ruffells were able to make it from Dave's side.  We had a pasta bar, yummy rolls and salad for dinner.  We had a truck theme.

We played "Put the rocks on the Dump Truck".
We had cake and icecream.  If you can't tell, his cake is a dump truck!
We made Brady his own little cake to dig into, decorated by Dave.  We just plopped him on the counter and let him go for it.  He was hilarious to watch!  He ate half of it, and would have eaten more had we let him.
Glad we got some of it on video!  Look at him pigging out!  Dave was the lucky one to give him a bath afterwards.
We opened presents.  Brady got lots of fun new toys and books!
I think Brady made it through the night without being too overwhelmed.  A great time was had by all!

Fun in Layton

Brady always has so much fun when we go up to my parents in Layton.  There's always toys or people to play with and a fun dog to play fetch with (even in the bath).

Brady will NEVER take a nap when we're there because there's so much to do.

Last month we went up to Layton a few times since my sisters Rebe and Carrie were both in Utah with their kids.  Brady was glad to have some cousins to play with.

Here are some funny pictures that were taken of all his Melville cousins minus the Authier kids.  Remember my post about Brady being a bully?  Look carefully at him in these pictures!  Poor Frederick!  Here's Bridgette (1 month), Frederick (4 months), Brady (10 months), Eli (2 years), and Jace (4 years)

Brady even took his first steps in Layton!  It was fun because lots of people were there to witness it.  Here he is at 10.5 months.  Now a few weeks later, Brady is walking all over the place!

While my sisters were out, the fam came down to Salt Lake where we met at Sugar House Park then walked over to the new Chick-fil-a for lunch.  We had fun on the playground, playing baseball, and feeding the ducks.

After Rebe and Carrie left, Brady's cousin Gauge came out for the weekend.  We went to a Grizzlies hockey game.  It was our first time taking Brady out that late.  He did pretty well for a while, but after an hour or so he was totally ready to go to bed.
