The Daily Grind...or Is It?

I have to say, that I can't believe I pay to do this!

Our weeks are becoming a blur as school is winding down, and Baseball and Soccer season are in full gear. Yesterday, we left our house right after school and went to Subway in an effort to get a "picnic" lunch together for the crazy evening we had ahead of us. We then proceeded directly to McKaleigh's soccer game, wolfing down our healthy dinner of sandwiches and chips. Halfway through the soccer game, I had to leave daddy and grandma with Alex, to head off to baseball pictures and another game. Daddy, grandma, and Alex met me there a little later. All in all we did not get home and all tucked in until late! I am just glad we told our kids - ONE sport per season!

Baptism Day!

Yes, today was the big day! Colton was baptized on April 11, 2009. We were all so very proud of him. Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Walt came down from Oregon for this special occasion and it was so fun to have them around for a few days. The pictures that follow are the events of that day...Here are all three kids, all ready to head over to the church.
Mom and Colton...does he look a little nervous to you?
After the big moment - I think he looks a little older - maybe wiser?
We decided to have a huge Easter Egg hunt following the baptism, since it was the day before Easter. Here are Grandma and Alex filling eggs, and I have to say I am not sure who ate more candy between the two!

Here is a shot of all of the kids getting ready with there baskets for the hunt. We were so glad that it was not raining!
What a good looking bunch of people! We were able to coax all of the grandparents to pose for a picture. We really have a nice looking family!
Cousins Sam and Tyler loved jumping! I think that may have been more fun than the Easter Egg Hunt!

McKaleigh got out her Guinea Pig, Pedro, and we told the little boys that it was a bunny - we wanted to stay with the whole Easter Bunny experience. They did not know the difference!

Grandpa and McKaleigh playing a game of Horseshoes in the backyard!

All in all, I have to say that it turned out to be a wonderful day...lots of food, family, and fun. What more can you ask for?

Pine Wood Derby

Our Colt is a cub scout now, and boy has it kept us busy! A week after entering the troop we had to purchase all of this gear...shirt, scarf, clip, book, and most importantly - a Pinewood Derby car. He and dad only had about a week to work on it, but it was fun!
Due to his mom putting the weights in the wrong places, Colt's car did not win any major awards, but did win the happiest car award! Daddy let him decorate and carve the car himself...and he did a great job!
Here is Colton and his best buddies, ready to race!
Here are Colton and dad admiring all of the racers! There were some fancy cars lined up and ready to go.

Christmas in Spring?

One of our big family Christmas gifts this year was a new trampoline from Grandma Deb. The kids were so excited to get it up, but we had to wait for the snow to clear! We just put it together last weekend, and it has seen much use since then!

Here is a picture of the work crew
This is what our little buddy looked like when it was the big kids turn to jump. he stood there by the tramp wailing and saying "jump jump..." Luckily he has a brother and sister that are excellent sharers!
