Some Randoms

 I felt a little bit guilty that I did not have pictures of the big kids first day, but not guilty enough to remember the camera for Alex's.  Good thing I have a husband with a knack for bringing it along!  Her is what Alex wore on his very first day of kindergarten.  I just love that his back pack is an original one I picked up two years ago and have stored for this day...it has a cool pirate skull on the back and is quilted.

 Here he is, first in line and waving - he was so brave and ready to begin this new chapter!  Now that I am writing this a few weeks in - he is already talking about a little girl in his class that he likes and I have been told by one of his best friend's mother that unless they chase the girls with Alex, then he is not really interested in playing with them...we have our hands full!

 My mom was here a few weeks ago - so we took advantage of one of the last warm days of outdoor swim weather and had a family swim day.  It was so very fun to get together with everyone and watch all of the cousins play together!

Running Circles Around the Rest of Us

 I really have to hand it to him...my husband lost those 80 lbs and never looked back!  He is probably in the best shape of his life and continues to amaze and impress us.  He is regularly setting fitness goals and encouraging us to set them for ourselves.  Over Labor Day, he participated in another mini-triathalon.  He was really proud of himself for beating his time from last year - and I think that this next 2013 we are all going to compete in this one together.  Here are the pictures from that morning of swim, bike, run!
