My baby girl turns 1!!

Kaylee turned 1 years old yesterday the 30th. She is so much fun and is growing up way to fast. She has started to walk, can sign a few words(milk, more, eat, dog), and is such an entertainer. She also has bad allergies, so her eyes look tired and sad in a lot of the pictures, but she really is happy. So last night, I decided to have a party for all three of my kids, since their birthdays are within 3 weeks of each other. I didn't really want to do 3 different family parties, so this worked out to just have one. We had some of my family and Micah's family over for dinner, cake and ice cream, and Jackson and Makenna had a piano recital that they did for all of us. So here are some fun pictures of last nights event.
That sippy cup has Kaylee's name on it

P.S. Although Makenna got to open some presents last night, there will be another post in about a week of her big day.

So this morning the first thing Kaylee does is goes and sits in her new swing. I had to take a picture of this and figured I better go hang it up outside and let her try it out. Of course she loves it!! Print Page

School Time

Well my oldest two started school today. Jackson is in the 2nd grade and Makenna is now in kindergarten. Makenna doesn't have to be at school until 11:45 am and all morning she kept asking me if it was time to go. I was sure glad when it was finally time. She just couldn't wait. So this is my first afternoon with only Kaylee at home and I already love it. Although I do love having the other two home as well, but she is napping and I can do whatever I want, so I don't feel to guilty being on the computer right now updating my blog. I was going to take a nap with my free time, but I decided other projects were a higher priority. Of course I had to include some pictures of Kaylee.Aren't they just the cutest kids ever!! Justin Rimington and Jackson are really good buddies!!Print Page

My boy turned 7!!

Jackson's 7th birthday was yesterday. I did a kid party for him and he only wanted to invite the boys from his class(there are only 4 of them, but one didn't show up). So I fed them pizza for lunch and then they played out in the water the rest of the time. I had the slip-n-slide up(2 to make it longer), water balloons, and water guns. Makenna loved hanging out with the boys :) Kaylee also had a fun time going down the slip-n-slide, she loved holding the hose and getting everyone wet. It looked like a lot of fun just watching, so I even joined in the fun. Then our little family celebrated Jackson's birthday when Micah got home from work. Happy Birthday Jackson!!Print Page

Fun times with friends

Wed. the 10th I decided to take my kids to Steptoe park and McGill pool. They got to bring a friend along with them. Makenna chose her cousin Isabelle and Jackson chose Justin Rimington a classmate and good buddy. So we went to the park, ate happy meals, and finished the afternoon at McGill pool(pond). My kids have been a few times to the pool this summer with my mom and sister while I was working. They love it, and Jackson kept going on this slide. Summer is so much fun and I can't believe how fast it has gone, school starts in 2 weeks.

Irrigation time

Every 5 days Grandma Ludean has the irrigation water at her house. We use it to water our garden and let the kids play in it. Kaylee has enjoyed playing in the water. Makenna would rather play in the mud as you can see, and yes her skirt is falling off :) Print Page

Where do I start??

Sometimes when I get behind on my blog, I just don't know where to start. So I will start with the later events and work my way to the newest. First, I walked again in our Ely Relay for Life walk on July 16th. I only had Kaylee with me and the rest of the family stayed home. Kaylee enjoyed riding in her stroller as my mom, dad, and sister Candice, and me walked. We even had a laminar bag in honor of my grandpa Dalyle Esplin.Next, July 21st, we celebrated my sister Candice's birthday about 2 weeks early, but there was a reason for doing so. She wanted to finally announce to everyone that she is pregnant. I knew ahead of time and gave her this package of diapers to announce. I am just glad I don't have to keep it a secret anymore. Congrats Moroni and Candice!! There was also a pinata and lots of candy!!Jeanne had grandkid week(about 1 1/2 weeks July 18-27th) with all her grandkids, so Jackson and Makenna spent most of their time at grandma Jeanne's during the time their cousins were here. They had a lot of fun going to the spring, park, doing lots of crafts, playing in the water, sandbox, and all the fun things cousins do.Kaylee and I would come watch the older kids when she wasn't napping. We even celebrated Jeanne's birthday on the 26th. We took a 5 generation picture that day(I am filling in for Micah)
We celebrated the 24th of July here in Lund. It is always a big and fun weekend here. I had to make bows to go with the little girls outfits. Again we made a float and won the family float for the parade, we participated in the program, watched the rodeo, and fireworks. Cousins Katie and Kaylee (July 24th)
Our last event of the month of July(July 28th-30th) was to go to Idaho and Utah for Micah's friends wedding. His really good friend from college, Nathon Prescott, finally got married. He had a reception in Jerome, ID the day before he got married, so we went up there. The guys had to get together for some shooting. We took our kids to Shoshone Falls before leaving on Fri. the 29th to head to Sandy, UT for Nathon's wedding.Sat. the 30th, we went to the SLC Temple where our neighbors who have been married for over 30 years went through for the first time and were sealed. So that was our July!!
