Easter and spring break activities

We went into Utah for Easter this year. All of Micah's siblings were there, so we decided to go and see everyone and see our newest nephew Callen. He seemed so small compared to Kaylee, but is such a cute little boy. We spent the 23rd with Micah's family at his grandma Hendrix's home in Orem, Ut. We also celebrated Easter while we were there and the kids got to find Easter eggs in her back yard. Of course the Easter bunny came Saturday, instead of Sunday.

I wanted to visit some of my relatives that I never see whenever we go to Utah. So Sunday afternoon and all day Monday I was able to visit with my relatives. Tues. the 26th, Hannah took the day off from school and grandma Jeanne came up to Laralee's(which is where we were staying) and they played games, we celebrated Hannah's birthday early, and just had fun time being with cousins. My kids were sad to leave on Wed., but we needed to get home. I just wish the weather was nicer, because we were stuck inside most of our spring break

My oldest child, Jackson

On April Fools I wanted to play a joke on Jackson. I even got it on video. It is kind of long, because Jackson wanted to tell me about the movie "Rango" he saw the night before with his friends, so here it is if you ever want to do it on your kids!! (PS. I should have waited a few more minutes to let it thaw out, because when I went to throw it away I picked up the spoon and the cereal and milk all came out stuck to the spoon, which looked funny. I would have done this trick on Makenna, but you never know what kind of cereal she wants and if you pour her the wrong kind she isn't too happy, where Jackson has the same kind every morning, so it was easy to do it on him.

Tuesday the 5th, we ended up taking Jackson to the dentist office(where I work) to get his front tooth pulled, because we have been pulling at it for two weeks and couldn't get it, plus he wasn't trying to wiggle it out and his permanent tooth was coming in behind it. So my family was the entertainment in the office that day. We had Kaylee in the waiting room laughing at Makenna. Then, I thought that Jackson would be fine if we just let him go back by himself, but he wasn't going to let the doctor pull it, so I went back first to try to talk him into it.(by the way he didn't need a shot, just a little topical rubbed around to numb it). The doctor came in a 2nd time and still Jackson wasn't going to cooperate, so in came dad. Micah, held Jackson's head still, I held his arms, and the doctor got his instrument and within a second his tooth was out. The whole time we are holding Jackson still he is screaming!! I think it hurt more having us strap him down then the tooth coming out. It was a good thing he was the hygienist son, or else the doctor wouldn't have helped get his tooth out, because he doesn't put up with kids that act like this. Jackson has lost 3 teeth all with in a month. He said on his next tooth he will work on wiggling it out himself. :)
