Tree House Museum

Today I decided to take Jack to the Children's Tree House Museum. Oh my goodness, was Jack in Heaven! I swear that kid did not stop running around for two hours! This was his and my first time going there. This place is huge! His favorite rooms were the music room, where he played the xylophone forever, the train room, and this bridge. I swear I walked back and forth on that bridge like 50 times! I kind of just let him go and run ahead of us, he was cute and kept looking back over his shoulder to make sure I was there. He also would only go in rooms that girls were in. If he saw a little boy, he went the other way. But if he saw a girl, he would go up to her and giggle and try to play with her. I am in soooo much trouble when his hormones kick in! Vic's mom came with us as well, and I think all three of us were worn out. Jack crashed in the car two minutes after leaving. I am thinking I will have to get us a membership, now that I know how much he loves it there. I am so glad there are places like this close to us, where he can just run and play, but the whole place is about learning.

I am beat!

Today I had my Jack, my adorable niece Jaidyboo, and my cute little neighbor boy Alex. It honestly wasn't too bad. The boys either played or tried to pry eachother's toys out of the other's hands, and Jaide just hung out in my lap or in her scooter the entire time. See, the mess doesn't bother me at all, Jack can do this all by himself in 5 min flat. I pick up his toys all day, and it is no biggie -Vic, on the other hand, would have had to leave the room and counted to ten...maybe a hundred. My day has finally calmed down, where Jack is taking a nap, Alex has gone home, and my sister is here feeding Jaidyn. Here are a few pictures of my day! It looks hectic, but honestly, I adore children, and love every second of it -even when a little stinker decided to dump out the entire box of cheerios and then proceeded to stomp them into the carpet.

Shirtless, vacuuming, nail polish loving!

Jack has started this incredibly annoying habit where he fills his mouth with water then lets it leak out all over his shirt and whatever else. He could care less. It drives me insane! Yesterday I found he leaked all over the couch. The entire cushion was drenched. He gets his shirt so wet, I had to take it off and wring it out! So annoying! But then he is just so dang cute, I can't get mad at him. He has started taking this push popper toy, and pretends he is vacuuming every time I vacuum. He goes right behind me, and if it weren't so cute, I would be insanely frustrated. If he didn't have to go in my exact path it would be all good, but no, he copies me exactly. He also has an obsession with my nail polish. It is weird, but he loves to get them all and line them up in a row. If one falls over he gets frustrated and shoves them all away. He is such his father's son...haha not that Vic has an obsession with nail polish, he just is very particular about things especially in his work.

Vic has entered a 48hr game developing competition this weekend. I don't even know if there is a prize, but he is super stoked about it. Although, it means I am single parenting it up this weekend again. Its all good, I seriously love being with my son. He just lights up my life.

On a completely different topic, Jack got two more teeth on the bottom. And just when I thought we would get a break from the teething, he is starting to cut four molars at once. Wahoo, yeah for teething!

Pics for daddy

Apparently, a post isn't sufficient for Vic while he is away, I was told to put pictures up right away. I think daddy misses his boy.

And now I admit what a nerd I am -along with a week in review!

What a week this has been. We started off by going to our neighbors for dinner. The boys played, and body slammed eachother all night. I am pretty sure these two will grow up to be BFFs. Sunday we went and spent the day out at my mom and dad's. Just hung out with the family, it was nice. Monday, Jack came down with the stomach flu. He woke up not wanting to eat anything, and by 3pm he came up to me, wrapped his arms around my neck and just said "mama". It broke my heart the way he said it, but didn't get too wrapped up in it cause two seconds later he started gagging and puked all over me. Lovely. He also is cutting a tooth right now. He was pretty miserable. Monday night, I came down with Jack's bug. I was puking all night as well. It sucked big time! The good thing is, Vic was home during all this and helped me with everything! He even did uncle duty and took care of Jaidyn on Tuesday for me. (Although, it wasn't too hard, since Jaidyboo has a huge crush on her uncle. She is perfectly happy just staring and smiling at him all day long.) Jack was sick again on Tues, and a half hour after I put him down for his nap, he starting screaming and I soon found out he puked again in his crib. I know it is gross, but when your kid is sick it just rips your heart out! The good news is, he cut his tooth and the pressure eased up a lot for him.
This brings us to this morning. Vic left for Provo and about 35min after he left, I get a phone call from him saying he just got in a car wreck. It was very minor, but he had to carefully drive the car home from Kaysville and take my car to Provo. This leaves me without a care till Sat morning. Fabulous. We are now pondering whether we put the money toward a new car for Vic, or just repair the old Suzuki. I guess we will figure that out when the check comes!!
Through all of this, I have to admit, I have been obsessed with a new book series. If you are a fan of Twilight, you will love it. The name is insanely lame, but everyone read VAMPIRE ACADEMY!!! OMG it is sooo good. I mean, I read four of the books in a week. I think there will be 6 total, and the 5th one comes out in May. I told everyone to read Twilight way before it blew up, and then again The Hunger Games. This is in the same league. Read it, and you will be hooked! Not a lot of books can get me to be so emotionally involved, but this one really got to me. I am so in love with one of the characters from the book, Dimitri. I seriously love him more than Edward and Jacob combined from Twilight. And now that I have admitted to what a huge nerd I am, I need to go and stop my son from giving himself a milk shower from his sippy cup. :)

Sledding

Yesterday was such a nice sunny day out, that Vic and I decided to take Jack out sledding. He looked like a walking marshmallow when I was through with him, but at least he was warm! We headed over to Glassman park, where it was already crazy busy with tubers/sledders. I guess everyone had the same idea for yesterday. Well, we walked over to the safest looking hill, and of course some kids made a jump at the bottom. We tried to go all they way over to the far side, so we were the farthest away from the jump. Vic made me the guinea pig, and I went down first in the tube and did everything that I could to stay away from that dang jump, but it was like a magnet and sure enough I slammed into it, caught air and the contact back with the ground was so no pleasant. I told Vic there was no way we could do that to Jack, but Vic insisted he could do it. Well, he and Jack got situated in the tube and went for it. They did manage to miss the jump, but somehow by the time they made it to the bottom they had popped the tube. Boys. So, now we are down to just Jack's sled. We decided that it was just not our day for sledding, so we started trudging through he snow to get back to the car. Until...we found this little secluded path that had just a little decline to it, and it was wide enough for Jack's sled. Oh boy, did we have fun. Jack loved walking up the hill and then sliding down, the only part he hated was having to get situated on the sled. Apparently, mom and dad took too long to get on the sled. He would giggle the entire way down. We had so much fun!!
After getting home, I had to run to the store, but I told Vic to start some dinner for Jack. When I got home, Jack was up on a chair helping daddy cook. It was the cutest thing ever. Here are some pictures of our fun Sunday!

Just a day in review for daddy

Today I watched both Jaidyn and Jack, both of which have colds. Fun times. Jack sucked out of a straw for the first time today, I am not sure why he never figured it out before. He normally just gets so excited to play with straws, he forgets there is a purpose to them. He also, for the first time, drank juice (out of the straw.) He has hated any type of juice I have tried giving him, he normally will take one sip and either spit it out or refuse to drink any more. This morning, auntie Cathie brought him an orange juice, and he loved it. This kid surprises me every day.

Here are some pics of our day so Vic can see what is happening at the Chelaru homestead! I love you babe, see you Wed!

This is my future

Jack loves to play with Vic's cell phone. He has even made the occasional text for daddy. He loves sending "grr" or "arhh" to people, who reply "huh?" Yesterday I was getting Jack ready for a late lunch over at Gma Chelaru's with us and his Gma and Gpa East. I asked him if he was all good and ready to go, and instead of him acknowledging me, I was ignored while it looked like he was texting. Is this what will happen in 15yrs? I am a foot away, and he texts me his answers?

Also, Jack has started talking more and more. Besides the daily "Mamma" and "Dad" he now says "whats this", "wow", "hey", "hi", "read", and starting two days ago "NO" where Vic and I did a double take and said "come again?"

Our little munchkin keeps us on our toes, but we are more in love with him than ever. Vic can't go a hour without cuddling him, giving him hugs and kisses and telling him how much he loves him. I, on the other hand, can't go without doing it every 20min. What can I say, I am his mamma.

Blah for New Years!

Vic and I had zero plans for New Year's Eve. We had planned on going to our friend, Jessica's, house for a "classy dress up party", but that idea went down the crapper when Vic came home from work a day early way sick. I tried to do everything in my power not to get his cold, but I think spouses are a lost cause. I came down with it Wed night, and then Jack came down with it on New Year's eve. Such a bummer! So, that night we put Jack to bed, we put it on Dick Clarke for background noise and I read while Vic played Mario-very low key. Our friend, Shaun, asked if he could come over since he really didn't want to party. We said he could at his own risk of getting the sick bug. Well, he came over followed buy two other friends. Vic was in Heaven hanging out with the guys and playing Mario. I was feeling worse and worse and could barely keep my eyes open. I made myself stay awake for the ball to drop, then I booked it to bed. Somehow being sick, didn't stop Vic from playing games with the guys till 4am!!! He is insane, what can I say. We are all still sick, although Vic and I are getting a lot better. Jack on the other hand, got hit hard. Poor guy was up all night with his stuffy nose. I can wait for the day when he learns how to blow his nose.
Well, in fun news, we were invited to spend some time in NY this summer with Jack's God parents. We can't wait. We love those two to death -we hate that we don't live closer to each other. I hope everyone had a better New Years than us Chelaru's, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!
