Vic's sick

This last weekend Vic got a weird bug. He was extremely nauseous plus he had a fever. It lasted all weekend plus he stayed home Monday. Today he is feeling a little better, but still not the best. I swear, boys suck at being sick. I think Jack is even easier to take care of than Vic. He wears me out!! I was all like "dude, I wasn't feeling well a week ago, and did you wait on me hand and foot??? No, you didn't! You went to work, while I stayed home with a fever and took care of Jack. !" I swear, mom's are not allowed to be sick. Here are a few pics of Jack from this past weekend. I had to quarantine him from his dad, so he wouldn't get the bug!

Flu, bday, and Jaidyn Marie

It has been kind of crazy at my place lately. I got the flu about two weeks ago, I was so nervous that Jack and Vic were going to come down with it, but thank goodness they are fine. My mom came over to watch Jack so I could just sleep down on the couch, but she ended up crashing instead. She won't ever live that one down. I had to keep waking her up to feed and change the little stinker. I also got a gym membership over at Crossroads fitness. Let me just say, I love this gym. Normally, you have to drag me to the gym kicking and screaming. I hate going, and I hate going by myself. But I have a goal, and that is to be swimsuit ready by the 4th of July, when we are flying out to my friend's wedding. I have been so dedicated to going 5 times a week, I am way proud of myself. I even get up and go to a 5:45am bodypump class three times a week. They do have a child care, but everyone knows I have issues leaving my baby with strangers, so I would rather get my butt out of bed so Vic can be there if he wakes up. I swear, you have to be amazingly good looking to work there. I don't think I have seen one ugly or average looking employee. I am thinking that is part of the allure. All the trainers are extremely nice, and like I said, they make it fun. This is another reason I haven't posted in a while, I am dead tired 24/7. My days are now from 5:30am to about 11pm. I try to stay up and be with Vic after he gets home from work and when the baby is in bed for some "us" time. All I can say is caffeine works miracles!
This last Sat was Vic's 28th birthday. We didn't do anything crazy like my bday, but we did have all the crew go out to dinner, I think there was almost 30 of us. We brought Jack with, and he was the entertainment of the night. The boys then went to our place to play some rockband, while the girls ventured to Katch's to watch Twilight. Everyone was suppose to meet back up at my place to finish out the party, but all us girls were tired and called it a night. I brought Jack home and somehow he slept through the extremely loud songs from the game. All in all, Vic said he had a good birthday.
Jack is doing great, he somehow picked up this fake cough that he does ALL THE TIME!!! I don't know where he got it from, but that is all he does when you are not paying attention to him. It is so weird, he is actually doing it right now since I am on the computer.
We had Cathie's big targeted ultrasound last week, and everything looks good. It is for sure a girl, and her name is for sure going to be Jaidyn Marie. She has the East lips, which Jack also got, and has HUGE feet. It looks like she will take after her mom that way! :) I can't wait to see my little niece!

7 months!

Jack turns 7 months today. It makes me sad how fast time is flying by. I am so happy I can be with my little man all day, every day, so I can watch him grow and learn new things. He has started to roll over, and is wanting to get on his hands and knees although he is not there yet, cause he normally face plants it, but he keeps trying. He still hasn't cut any teeth, but the pediatrician keeps reassuring me that, it is a good thing. The longer in the gums, the better. My mom told me that I didn't cut any teeth until I was a year old and to this day I have really good teeth. Only 2 cavities my entire life, so hopefully Jack is taking after me that way.

Vic + Jake + two small dogs =wa what??

Saturday was a very eventful day. It started at 6am with our carbon monoxide alarm going off. At first I figured it was the smoke alarm and I told Vic just to "smack it" and get it to stop going off. But then we saw Jake get up and the alarm by his room was going off as well. By this time we actually got up and noticed that the CO light was flashing. Of course I call my dad in panic, and he said to check the furnace and open all the windows. Then, as always, Vic is more calm and called the fire department which told us to close all the windows and get out of the house asap and call 911. Cathie had also spent the night, so it was funny to see all of us freaking out, trying to get dressed, get Jack ready and get the dogs out. I packed Jack up and figured I would take him out to my mom and dad's house along with Cathie. Jake stayed back with Vic and the two dogs to wait for the firemen. So, when the firetruck showed up the guy came up to Vic who was holding Koopa, and asked "How long have you lived here?" Vic without thinking, looked back at Jake and shrugged and said "what, like 2 years?" Jake, who was holding Gus, just shrugged back. Then the fireman looked at Vic, then to Jake, then at the two small dogs and quickly turned and walked back into the house. Hahaha! Jake was all like "Dude, he totally thinks we are gay." It was pretty hilarious. Everything ended up being ok, and there was no gas leak, but the damn alarm wouldn't stop going off. It is the most obnoxious sound, and it kept going off like every 30 min!!! Finally, by 3pm we got it to stop, but by that time we were all about to kill eachother cause of how irritating it was. I was about to take a baseball bat and pretty much kill it (it and the smoke alarm are one unit in every room, which is all hardwired to the house.) So the boys rejected my idea and we all worked together to figure it out. Seriously, we need an electrician in the family!!

So, there hasn't been much to post about lately. Vic had to work overtime last week, so it was just me and Jack . I did load him up on Thurs and went to the mall with Cathie and Jess. Surprisingly, I didn't buy Jack anything, but did find some cute zebra baby shoes for Jaidyn.
We did find out that one of my best friends set a date for her wedding, so the three of us will be packing up and heading to PA for the fourth of July. I can't wait! The wedding is going to be up at her parent's lake house, so it should be pretty fun. Other than that, nothing is new. Hopefully this week will be more eventful!!
