Washington D.C.

This weekend my Young Women were doing baptisms at the Washington D.C. temple, so we decided to make a trip of it. It was a really great trip and the kids did so great.

After arriving at the hotel on Friday we decided to jump on the train and try to check out the Washington zoo. We made it there just to find out that it was closed for a special event. Lame!
So we walked down the street to get something to eat.
Goofing off in the subway. Look how much cleaning it is there than in New York. The subway's are so spacious and easy to understand.
Boston taking our picture.
Waiting for the train.
Boston is getting to be an old pro at this. After I went to the temple Saturday morning we headed into Washington D.C. to the Air & Space Museum in Washington D.C.
So comfy
The American History Museum. It just reopened in November after years of remodeling. Boston was throwing a fit at this moment because we told him this was the last exhibit we were going to see before we went home. As you can tell he didn't want to leave. The Smithsonian CastleThe cherry blossoms are blooming. Quite a long walk. Look how far the Capital Building is. In total the whole mall from the Capital Building to the Lincoln Memorial is 2.2 miles. Almost home.

The Please Touch Museum

So we went to the coolest kids museum last week in Philadelphia. It's called the Please Touch museum. The best part is that we did not have to pay the $15 a person fee because our Discovery museum pass here in Jersey gets you in for free there. Awesome! It was huge and set up in this old historical building. We've gone twice now and just love it.

The huge water and boat area. Down stairs was a replica of Alice in Wonderland's maze. So cool!Painting the roses red. Entering Alice's maze. ShopRite is one of the major grocery stores around here.
Some gadget in the science and space area.
Looking down stairs from the subway cars.

I love Boston's poses.

Puppets

We made puppets the other day. Aren't they cute? Boston's was a dragon, mine was a princess.

Then we headed outside to hit a few balls. I'm so glad the weather is warming up.

My little Spiderman

When Rendon likes to dress up as Spiderman he no longer smiles for the camera but does his "Spiderman face". How adorable puckered lips became the Spiderman face I will never know, but I blame John.

Oh and this is what I found my precious little boy doing the other day. Nice.

Now this is entertainment

Are you tired of hear your kids say, "Mom will you play with me, I'm bored, what can we play?". Well I was. Thus came a genius idea. Throw the kids in the bath and mix in a little bit of glow sticks and walla, entertainment.
