Lost & Found

Today was Trevor's first day at his new school. We got up extra early to get ready because school starts extra early(7:35). I had to take him in before school so he could be assigned to a teacher. He was so excited & just a little bit nervous. I think I was more nervous than he was. I was the most nervous about him riding the bus. When I was growing up I always lived close enough to the schools to walk & our last house was down the street from the school, so Trevor has never had to ride the bus (except for field trips). I didn't know what to expect. So when I met his teacher I made sure she knew it was his first time riding the bus and I told her to let the bus driver know that he was the 3rd stop. I also told Trevor to look for the houses with the flags & the fences in the front (the model homes). I guess he forgot & the teacher never told the bus driver so Trevor got off at the 1st stop. So when the bus pulled up & Trevor didn't off I freaked out. The bus driver went back to all the stops. I was so scared. He doesn't know the neighborhood at all. I didn't know if he would stay put or if he would wander around looking for me. Luckily he stayed put & the bus driver found him at the first stop. He said that he was scared, but he didn't cry. I felt so bad. I'm so glad he is back safe. Now I'm nervous about sending him on the bus tomorrow morning. Hopefully the take him to the right school.

What I've been up to...

My mother in law bought Kyle Broncos bedding for his birthday & since then I've have been so excited to paint his room. Trevor & Kyle have never had a decorated room before so I decided to do something fun for them. Trevor will have to wait for my blisters to heal & for some more motivation to get his done. This was a hard project & I can't wait for it to be completely done.

Kyle has a lot of furniture in his room & since Bryon is out of town I just scooched the stuff as much as I could. The bunk beds are not put together so there are 2 HEAVY beds & a dresser.
a

OOPS!! This could have been very bad.

Taping is hard!

Pulling the tape down is fun! I loved seeing how it was turning out.

I love how it turned out! I'm not done though I still have to wait for Bryon to get home to help me move the beds & do the back wall. Luckily it has a closet on it so it won't take as long.

Happy Easter!!

I was a bad Easter bunny this year! Since we moved & had family in town this week I totally forgot to go buy stuff for Easter. I don't want my kids to think that Easter is like Christmas so usually I just get them churchy stuff like I spy Nephi, or scripture coloring books. But this year I totally forgot & the Easter bunny just brought candy. I did buy the boys cute matching ties & I had ordered Hailee a super cute Easter dress from the "Dress Lady", but on Tuesday she called and said she didn't have the dress in Hailee's size. So she emailed me a couple of other choices that I was not thrilled with, but I picked one knowing that I didn't have time to go get her another one. The dress lady assured me it would be here by Easter. Well, it wasn't. I was ticked. Luckily Hailee already has a couple of spring dresses to choose from. She had already worn them, but no one in the new ward would know(not that I care, it's just fun to have a new dress on Easter).

Our new house

I wasn't going to post any pics of my new house, but since so many people have asked I decided to post a pic of the front. If you want to see the inside you have to come over to see it. After moving back to AZ 3 yrs ago we finally bought our 1st house (well more like our 3rd, but our 1st in AZ). We moved here when the market was crazy & everyone was buying, so we decided to wait. We are so glad we waited because we got an amazing deal on this house & we love it! We are so glad to finally have a place of our own.

Mom, can we hop the back fence?

That is what I have heard almost every morning since we have moved into our new house. Luckily, my kids have uncles and a grandma that are willing to do go with them because I really don't want to. Yesterday my mother in law took them to go look for jackrabbits and stink bugs. We back up to state land so hopefully all the jackrabbits, stick bugs (I wish), rattle snakes, coyotes, & anything else that is living out there will stay out there.
Grandma Cindy hopping over the fence. The funny part is that she couldn't get back over so she had to walk around.
Trev & Ky playing in the creek behind our house.
Lots of open land to ride their quad.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Trevor!

I can't believe that he is 7. Holy cow that makes ME so old! Trevor is such a sweet boy. He loves to make friends with everyone. Everyone is his friend. If he meets someone at the park and doesn't know his name, he will refer to that person as his friend. All of his friends are his "best friends" because he can't decide who he likes the best. He just likes everyone. He is my biggest helper which isn't hard because he is the oldest and because Kyle doesn't do anything, but I can always count on him to chase after Hailee or get something for me when I need it. Trevor also gets so excited about things. Even if it is something small, he can't wait to get going. Trevor loves to make people laugh. If I wasn't moving tomorrow I would have posted more pictures of Trevor just being goofy. He loves to ham it up for the camera. He loves to be the star of the show. Trevor is the best big brother to Kyle & Hailee. I love him so much. Happy birthday Trevor!

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

About a month ago it was time to sign my boys up for baseball. I decided to mail in my registration because I found out about it the night before, Bry was out of town, & I didn't want to drag my 3 kids down to the place where registration was taken place. I got all my stuff together (copy of birth certificate, utility bill(proof of residency), check, & registration form for both of my boys, paper clipped them together & them mailed them. I was so excited because this was Kyle's first time playing tball & Trevor's first year in machine pitch. A few weeks later I got an email from Kyle's coach (who is a friend in our ward) saying he was on his team and when the first practice was. I waited a few days and never heard anything from Trevors coach so I called the coach that I had requested for him (another friend in the ward). Trevor was not on their roster so I called another friend that I new was coaching and Trevor wasn't on his team either. I decided to email Gilbert National Little League and find out what team he was on. They didn't respond to my first email so I emailed them again. I emailed back & forth with GNLL for about a week. They said that they had never received his registration & that the teams were full. I responded & said that I had sent his reg. with Kyle's and that Kyle was placed on a team. I told him that I had paid for Trevor & that I wanted him on a team. They said that that they only received a check for Kyle and had nothing for Trevor. I emailed them a copy of the check that not only was for the amount for both of them but I had also written on the memo line Trevor machine pitch & Kyle tball. After that they still wouldn't put him on a team so I talked to the coach & he said to just have him play. So we went to practice, we got a uniform,& we took pictures with the team (All that was included in my $65 that I had paid.)He didn't get to play in the first game because he had his last basketball game at the same time. That night the assistant coach (coach had left out of town) got a call from GNLL. They flipped out because photograph had told them that we had an extra kid on the team. They threatened to kick the coach, assistant coach, their kids, & BOTH of mine out of the league. Basically because of liability. They couldn't because Trevor did not actually play in that game. I had enough of the emails & wanted to talk to someone on the phone. One of my friends had the phone # of one of the GNLL board members. SO I called him. I talked, begged, yelled, & tried everything I could to get Trevor on the team. It didn't work. He said that there was really nothing else he could do & so I gave up. I gave the uniform back to the coach & told Trevor that he couldn't play. This was Tuesday night. Thursday I get a call from Trevors coach saying that he had gotten a email from GNLL & they said that Trevor an play on the team. What! After all that. So I went & checked my email & I had gotten an email from GNLL saying that after much consideration they decided to let Trevor play. So he got to play in his first machine pitch game on Friday night. He got 2 hits! Bry & I decided that they must have found his reg. form, because they never asked me to sign another liability waiver. So after all that all I have to say is I WIN!!!!!! I will add pics later. My computer is not letting me upload them.
