About a month ago it was time to sign my boys up for baseball. I decided to mail in my registration because I found out about it the night before, Bry was out of town, & I didn't want to drag my 3 kids down to the place where registration was taken place. I got all my stuff together (copy of birth certificate, utility bill(proof of residency), check, & registration form for both of my boys, paper clipped them together & them mailed them. I was so excited because this was Kyle's first time playing tball & Trevor's first year in machine pitch. A few weeks later I got an email from Kyle's coach (who is a friend in our ward) saying he was on his team and when the first practice was. I waited a few days and never heard anything from Trevors coach so I called the coach that I had requested for him (another friend in the ward). Trevor was not on their roster so I called another friend that I new was coaching and Trevor wasn't on his team either. I decided to email Gilbert National Little League and find out what team he was on. They didn't respond to my first email so I emailed them again. I emailed back & forth with GNLL for about a week. They said that they had never received his registration & that the teams were full. I responded & said that I had sent his reg. with Kyle's and that Kyle was placed on a team. I told him that I had paid for Trevor & that I wanted him on a team. They said that that they only received a check for Kyle and had nothing for Trevor. I emailed them a copy of the check that not only was for the amount for both of them but I had also written on the memo line Trevor machine pitch & Kyle tball. After that they still wouldn't put him on a team so I talked to the coach & he said to just have him play. So we went to practice, we got a uniform,& we took pictures with the team (All that was included in my $65 that I had paid.)He didn't get to play in the first game because he had his last basketball game at the same time. That night the assistant coach (coach had left out of town) got a call from GNLL. They flipped out because photograph had told them that we had an extra kid on the team. They threatened to kick the coach, assistant coach, their kids, & BOTH of mine out of the league. Basically because of liability. They couldn't because Trevor did not actually play in that game. I had enough of the emails & wanted to talk to someone on the phone. One of my friends had the phone # of one of the GNLL board members. SO I called him. I talked, begged, yelled, & tried everything I could to get Trevor on the team. It didn't work. He said that there was really nothing else he could do & so I gave up. I gave the uniform back to the coach & told Trevor that he couldn't play. This was Tuesday night. Thursday I get a call from Trevors coach saying that he had gotten a email from GNLL & they said that Trevor an play on the team. What! After all that. So I went & checked my email & I had gotten an email from GNLL saying that after much consideration they decided to let Trevor play. So he got to play in his first machine pitch game on Friday night. He got 2 hits! Bry & I decided that they must have found his reg. form, because they never asked me to sign another liability waiver. So after all that all I have to say is I WIN!!!!!! I will add pics later. My computer is not letting me upload them.
