Take off...

Brandon cooked a brisket on Sunday and Emily, Kristen, Scott and his friend Kristen joined us. We had fun playing in the backyard, Scott pretending Tabitha was a plane, playing on the swingset and the girls favorite was duck duck goose.

Girls night, sleepover

The girls had a wonderful time spending the night at Emily's.

Happy Anniversary

Brandon and I celebrated 9 years of marriage on the 24th of this month. Friday night we dropped the kids off at Emily's house and ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Everytime we eat there we have to order Avacado eggrolls, they are so yummy. We then went shopping at Costco and to see the final Harry Potter movie. It was a great day. I am sure am lucky and greatful for Brandon.

Playing

I like to watch and listen when the girls are playing so nicely together.

$2 Tuesday

We met some friends at Thanksgiving Point on Tuesday. We had fun walking through the Dinosaur Musuem, eating lunch, having a 25 cent ice cream cone and playing with this cool water feature.

Mickey mouse clubhouse

The girls favorite part about having TV again, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the disney channel.

Sunday morning

View of Trial Lake before we left sunday morning. There was a cool mist coming off the top, so beautiful and peaceful.

Fishing

Kathryn, Cole and Kristen joined us up camping on Saturday. We pretty much sat by the lake all day, it was so beautiful and relaxing. Tabitha caught one fish, Cole caught two and Gabrielle caught 4! She was so proud of herself and left everyone wondering how she did it, the answer, pink princess fishing pole. There were two bald eagles that were flying around all day and would swoop down and catach a fish and then fly to the trees and eat them, it was pretty cool to see. We had a yummy dutch oven dinner and another fun night by the fire. Kathryn and Cole headed home but Kristen stayed the night with us.

Trial Lake

Tabitha fell pretty soon after we got there as she and Gabrielle were exploring, Gabrielle told her that she needed to have both of her hands out to keep her balance.

Friday we drove up into the Uintahs and met my mom at Trial Lake Campground. Our campsite was right by the lake and after setting up camp Brandon, Gabrielle and I rafted out on the lake to do some fishing, and caught one! My Mom and Tabitha explored the shores and had fun calling out and waving to us. We roasted hot dogs for dinner and then went back down to the lake where Tabitha caught a fish! We ended the night with a campfire story from Brandon, which the girls loved.

Money

The girls emptied out their piggy banks and we counted out $10 each to put in their savings account. It was a good learning exercise for Gabrielle as we talked about what each coin was called and how much it was worth. The girls love this song which we sang the chorus while counting the money.

Walmart

Walmart opened on Wednesday and we drove over just because. I love that it is so close, now all we need is a Costco and we will never have to leave the valley!

Swimming

My friend Camille invited us to go swimming with her. There was the perfect pool for the kids, it started at 2 ft and then went to 3 and then ended at 4. The kids had a wonderful time playing all by themselves.

Dish

After 6 months of watching local TV with rabbit ears we are back with Satelitte. I missed most being able to record shows to watch later and fast forward commercials.

Clink

Sunday evening Popsicle on the porch. The girls love to "clink", something they learned from despicable me.

Play room

Here is a picture of our play room that Emily helped us put together, we are so grateful for her. Thanks Diana for the fun rug and chandelier, the girls love playing in here!!

Be brave..

...this is what I heard Gabrielle say to Tabitha friday morning while we were getting ready for a walk. Gabrielle was carefully applying bandaids to Tabitha's "owies". They play really cute together and it is fun to overhear them talk to one another.

Emily's classroom

We drove down to help in Emily's classroom. The girls loved sitting in the small table and chairs, coloring a cutting paper and watching movies. I don't know how much we actually helped her but it was sure fun to be there and watch her classroom come together.

Slip-n-Slide

The girls ran through the sprinklers last night in their clothes and Gabrielle wanted to do it again Wednesday morning with her swimsuit on. I remembered that we had a slip-n-slide Kristen gave Gabrielle a few years ago for her birthday. The girls loved it! It took them a few tries down to get the hang of it and they had so much fun.
