The Utah Utes kick-off the football season tonight against the Oregon State Beavers!!!! I can't believe football season is already here but I am so excited!!!! I can't wait to be in the stadium next Saturday!

I'm crossing my fingers for a good game tonight!!

Josh Groban

We went to see Josh Groban in concert last night and it was fabulous!!! His voice is so beautiful and it's hard to believe he can hit those notes!!! He sounded so good live and it was so fun to be there.

I was surprised at what a good sense of humor he has. You would never match his voice to such a witty person but he was hilarious!!

I'm so glad we were able to go to this concert. I've been wanting to see him for a very long time and it was well worth the wait!!!

Here Comes The Bride....

Since most of you know my crazy brother-in-law, Zach, you will be happy to hear he is engaged!!!! He popped the question on Thursday night and we are so excited for him.

His fiance is such a sweet girl and we are very excited for her to join the Whitchurch family. Her name is Kate Burton and she went to Highland High. She is beautiful, very athletic and obviously very patient!!
ha ha

They will be getting married on November 8th. Congratulations to the happy couple!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

On Saturday we threw my dad a Surprise birthday party for his 50th birthday! I can't believe we actually pulled it off and he had no idea it was coming!! I think he was definitely shocked and he wanted to kill us all for making such a big deal out of his birthday. But we had a really fun time!!!

We decorated with all his favorite things: University of Utah, the Oakland Raiders, Jimi Hendrix, etc.

My dad was especially shocked when he found out all his band members were at the party. They had already set up all their equipment and the Bad Luck Blues Band provided the entertainment for the party!

The party was a lot of fun and we were happy to go to all the trouble!!!

High School Musical

Ok, so I know I'm the biggest dork but I am definitely watching High School Musical 2 tonight!! The first movie is so cheesy but it makes me laugh! And it's so funny to watch them walk around the halls of East High School. I feel so cool to know I once walked those hallways!!

Plus, I'm feeling sick today so all I want to do is go home and lay on the couch! I can't wait until work is over!!!!

Paint Your Heart Out

My work has participated in a community service project called "Paint Your Heart Out" for the last five years. The project is organized to paint the outside of homes of elderly or disabled individuals living on the west side of Salt Lake.

So this is how Jesse and I spent our weekend. I was in charge of the project this year so were painting on Friday and Saturday morning. It was A LOT of work!!!

Newport Harbor

This post is mainly for my two California girls, Lyndsay and L.A., but you are all welcome to enjoy!

MTV has decided to move up the coast this year for their Orange Coungy teenage reality series. The show will no longer take place in Laguna Beach. This year it's called "Newport Harbor" and it will follow the spoiled kids of Newport Harbor high school.

Lindz, it's too bad you are not in high school anymore; you could have been famous!!!!! But you would have had to memorize lines - oh, wait - it's supposed to be non-scripted!! My Mistake. ha ha

LAGOON!

We went to Lagoon on Friday with my family. It was so much fun!! Lagoon has really changed since I was in high school; they actually have fun rides now!! The new ride, Wicked, was terrifying but SOOO much fun! It was a huge adrenaline rush!

This picture was taken after we rode "Rattlesnake Rapids." We got soaked!!!!!!!!! It was nice to cool off in the hot sun but we were so wet! My shoes and socks were squishy for the rest of the day but we still had a lot of fun!

Park City

Jesse and I went to Park City for a few days this week. It was our version of a summer vacation! We had a lot of fun and it was very relaxing! We played tennis, swam, shopped, went to dinner and enjoyed the cooler weather!

We went to the Utah Olympic Park and watched the ski jumpers. It was so much fun to watch and I can't believe how little some of the kids were! They are very brave!!


The highlight of our trip was going horseback riding! It was so much fun and it was actually very relaxing! My legs were a little sore the next day but it was totally worth it!
