Playing at the Park

I met my friend, Suzana, at the park a few weeks ago and she took some really cute pictures of the girls. Here are just a few of my favorites.

As you can see, Ellen bumped her tooth a few weeks ago and it has turned gray. So sad.

Eating Applesauce

Rachel has started to use a spoon and feed herself applesauce. It makes quite a mess, but she's so proud of herself!

Ellen wanted a picture of how well she eats applesauce too!

Visitors!

Grandpa Brinkerhoff, Uncle Russ, and Aunt Amy stayed overnight with us before heading out to watch the Indian Wells tennis tournament. Jeff went out with them for a day and had a great time. Ellen and Rachel loved all the attention!

They brought the girls ring pops. Ellen didn't know such things existed! Rachel still doesn't.

Jeff's 30th Birthday

Jeff turned 30! He got the ski helmet he used on our ski trip as an early present. He also got some awesome headphones from his parents.

He requested his mom's poppy seed cake recipe. It was my first time making a cake totally from scratch and it was a success! We decided to even put all 30 candles on the cake!

Ski Trip

Jeff and I were lucky enough to get to go skiing at Deer Valley in Utah for two days at the beginning of March. We left our girls for two nights and had a wonderful time. It was a quick trip--we were gone from our house for just over 48 hours, but it was awesome! We went with my parents and my sister and it was fun to spend time with them while we were there.

My parents surprised Jeff with an early birthday celebration!

Michelle came out for a snowball fight after lunch.

New Beginnings

Back in February, we had a fun New Beginnings night with the Young Women at church. It was "Kick Off to New Beginnings"--football themed, upbeat evening to get the girls excited about Personal Progress this year. We had some fun decorations and I just got the pictures so I thought I'd share them.

We taped off the floor to look like a field.
