Amelia turns 6!

Amelia looked forward to, and enjoyed every minute of her 6th birthday. We ate donuts, opened presents, played with said presents, went to the park, went to see Cinderella, ate at Cafe Zuppa's for dinner, and finished off the day with cheesecake. It was a super fun day for a super awesome little girl.

Reflections

Don't let those delicious looking cookies and smiling Mindy fool you...running the Reflections program at school is hard! Ok, well not hard, but a ton of work. I was only over the awards ceremony and I was crazy busy. I think it's a worthy cause to donate my time to though. Seeing the creativity of so many children brightens my hope for the future.

In the end, watching Amelia win a trophy for her painting made it all worth it!

P.S. This is the 1000 post on our family blog! Wow!

Preschool Grad!

Amelia is a preschool graduate! The graduation program was adorable...I'll try to upload videos later. While practicing for the program she kept saying "When I grow up I want to be a brain doctor." But when the program came around, all the little girls kept saying they wanted to be ballerina's or mom's and she gave into the peer pressure and said "My name is Amelia Fromm. I am 5 years old and when I grow up I want to be a mom." After I told her she did a great job and I asked her why she said she wanted to be a mom and not a doctor. She said she just changed her mind...I told her that being a mom is awesome, but "did you know that you can be a mom AND a doctor?" Her eyes got really big and she said "Really?! Then I want to be a mom aannnd a brain doctor!"

Amelia's First Ballet Performance!

Amelia has been taking ballet this year at Barlow Arts Conservatory. It has been a great experience and her first ballet performance was awesome. She loved being on stage, her pink tutu and, best of all, wearing make up!

Her teacher Miss Staci.

I taught the girls my old "good luck" tradition from when I used to dance...They thought it was fabulous and requested it over and over again throughout the shows.

I recently got a flash for my camera...I'm still learning how to use it, but I am SOOOO glad I had it back stage!

She struck that pose all on her own...

My kids seriously make the strangest faces sometimes...

I love to dance. I especially love ballet. I used to dream about the day when I would watch my own daughter on stage...It was a very fitting early Mother's day gift to watch my Baby Love in her first performance. I only hope it will continue to bring her as much joy as it has and will bring me.

Flowers from Dad was the cherry on top!

Amelia"s 5th Birthday

All out of order...

Saturday morning Amelia woke up to presents and birthday donuts! Then we took her to build-a-bear where she made a stuffed animal. Sunday (her actual birthday) all our family that lives close by came over for cupcakes, a piñata and the most epic version of "happy birthday" you've ever heard. She thinks being 5 is pretty darn awesome.

Jan. Wrap up and Feb Goals:

January's goals were made in order to help me re-establish some good habits. I did well keeping to them. February's goals are along the same lines:

January was kind of a roller coaster ride though. I'll spare you all the details but here are the highlights:

*Annabelle learned how to burn toast...I mean make toast & Coleson learned how to make microwave scrambled eggs.
*I discovered Lush bath bombs.
*Annabelle was potty trained
*Zack and his friends surprised us with a visit!
*Yzma and Aladdin started laying eggs. (We now get 3-5 eggs per day.)
*We went to Vegas.
*Amelia got 8 stickers for staying in her bed all night! This is a big deal! 8 whole nights of uninterrupted sleep!
*Brian has been working like crazy on the Missionary iPad Project.
*I hit my PR running and then injured my neck... It's getting better though.
