Gonna be honest, anyone else tried of how writers romanticize reading? Maybe its because I grew more cynical in my age. Maybe its because I am more aware than ever, of the publishing industries faults. Maybe its just colonialism.

I have tried looking fiction stories written in my world setting, but they all suck, one way or another. The only real dose of real people’s live I get is from non-fiction and let me tell you, you are likely to even found ebooks of those, let alone a traditional hardcover book.

Also, j am from a culture that to this day, still realize on oral story telling.

“Why I am not a Buddhist” by Evan Thompson. I am half way through it. It did have some good points, but as is often the case with modern academic philosophy, it started to become word salad.

Regardless, it did provide me with great deal of inside when come to modern Buddhism, and Buddhism superiority believers. How the author tried to conceptualise the mind/self to the reader, was where the word salad started for me.
