at work we have expensive fans with a cheap metal mesh around them - to avoid a crying co-worker. at home i have a cheap tower fan with a weird plastic mesh - there are no visible blades on it except if i crank my neck into a really uncomfortable position and shine a flashlight into it. which one of the two can i call bladeless?

still a miss-labeling to call them bladeless fans, just because the blades are hidden. by that logic my beef raviolis are vegetarian (tbf: the catholic church made a similar claim during the medieval ages).

what is the concern? vote manipulation? if so, limiting votes is a really naive approach.

i really don’t see the issue. are they worried about vote manipulation? if so, that is the most naive approach to it: you hurt the most active users, which hurts overall content, which the threadyverse does not have too much of anyway. all the while the problem does not get solved.
i am not sure whether it would work on piefed the exact same as on lemmy, but they rely on the same technology. so i guess yes. if i wanted to manipulate votes, i would spinn up a couple of instances, generate users and let them automatically vote. wanted to write a POC to raise any comment/post into the sky or condemm them to oblivion using this approach. that was a long time ago and never got around to do so - probably won’t ever happen. but i don’t think it would be too hard for anyone to use this type of manipulation, while it is relatively hard to defend against…
lots of good advice in this thread already.
also check the rubber seal. i always keep one spare laying around for my bialetti. old cracked ones make the coffee spill everywhere (or at least steam), which increases boiling time. worse: burning the ring tastes absolutely horrendous. especially when i let the kids do the coffee, a burnt ring will happen sooner or later.
it is for sure bad taste, to refund a game you enjoyed. but it can’t be solved. adjusting time windows will only shift the problem…
however, i do not think this is a problem which needs solving. while it enables some frustration, i am pretty sure this feature makes more money than it looses: because players have this relatively generous refund model, they can take a risk in what they buy. that way players can properly test drive the games they buy and keep the ones which actually strike their fancy.
if that policy would not exist, i think many purchases just would not be made in the first place. especially in this economy.

Skyrim has so many talented modders. It can really transform your game and give you entirely new stories.
robin hood being a lord is already a rebrand of an older story. in the older stories he was a commoner and scared lords. whether there are even older stories, i don’t know.
pair programming can be really cool. if you have a complex problem, are roughly on the same level as the pair, are both motivated to do it.
that is a huge if. also the reason why it should never be mandated. suggested at most.
