What the fuck.
It’s art. And social commentary. And subversive because of the noodiness.
Do you realize the optics of posting this here in a women’s only community?
How violent this is?
Yes. And violence is all around us. And it’s not ok. And sometimes I feel like I could just explode from how I’m supposed to just accept or ignore that.
I can respect that. A starter text to kick off a discussion would have set the tone differently.
Since your account is hours old, this came off aggressive.
I’ve edited the title.
Yes, I’m feeling aggressive.
I’m going to go back to reading comics. It’s a good escape from reality.
Thanks!
I agree this was kinda a shock to see but that is the point of the art ig maybe post this somewhere else
Yeah I’m not opposed to the art itself or rather a discussion about it, but this isn’t the community to do so. Edit: maybe a starter text or title change would make it more suitable though.
It’s not appropriate for this community.
Okay. Would a text-based attempt to start a discussion of the violence meted out on women’s bodies be more acceptable?
I think it would be more acceptable as this js comes off as a dipiction of violence against women in a space that does not seem to be made for that so having a lil text maybe a trigger warning would be nice :)
ok, I’ll edit the title
Agreed wholeheartedly.
This really needed a starter text to kick off a discussion rather than the image of a woman’s naked body being targeted on its own.
Is it shocking? Am I that desensitised? Because I saw it and just thought to myself “yeah, that’s about right”
I certainly find this much easier to process than yet another news story of women having various horrors put upon them right now.
I feel like I’m coming apart with each one. I don’t want know, but how can I not at least give them the dignity of knowing that it’s happening? Even while I sit here powerless to do anything about it.
