Hot take, but I feel like this is one of those bands whose live performance transcends anything they put to video.
I saw Billy Strings live, and it was almost a religious experience. The energy in that room was impossible to capture on film.
I imagine seeing Idles is a similar situation.
Agree for sure. If you haven’t seen it already, I shared a live idles set from KEXP in elsewhere in the comments on this thread that’s pretty solid.
IDLES always opens with this song and the “split the crowd in half”. It’s glorious.
You would be correct! I can’t recommend seeing Idles live enough. The sound envelopes you and it’s an experience of unity from start to finish.

Because someone mentioned their live performances: This full KEXP set starts with Colossus and goes (and goes and goes) from there. They have multiple live performances on here, as do quite a few other bands worth seeing.

It was almost a spiritual experience seeing them live last year. I’m so glad you heard of them!
If you don’t know already, the lead singer, Joe Talbot recently started a podcast called “Oh Gatekeeper” where he talks to his favorite people. It’s quite good!
