I had no idea that vowel progression (I A O/U) was so common in European languages. Interesting!
They probably thought Phill would eventually find it funny. The fact that he soon reentered the pub seems to indicate that he did. (Though I’ll admit, it’s not undeniable proof.)
For that matter, you’re not beholden to call it anything. You could make up a new term for it if you wanted. Don’t let “the man” stop you!

It’s been on my wishlist, but I want to finish Patrick’s Parabox before I buy this one.
I think some people want to get on sooner so they can put their carry-on luggage in the overhead compartment before it (sometimes) fills up.
I think some people want to stretch their legs as soon as they can after the flight.
But I’m in no such hurry. I would be last to get on and last to get off, if it made things go any smoother.

The difference is just frequency.
