The FAA has ordered operators to upgrade 58,500 aircraft radio altimeters to withstand 5G interference. Airlines must comply by 2030.

    I remember learning about this issue years ago probably. IIRC the issue is that the altimeters operate out of band and so are to blame. This isn’t a case of 5g being bad. Previously it hadn’t mattered that they operated out of band because there was nothing using that portion of the spectrum.

    This one is legit, FAA is generally trustworthy but with Clown Duffy in charge…
