Viral Reload EX is a shoot-em-up with a dash mechanic where you shrink down to fight infections at a microscopic scale! Can you defeat the evil Kyle Kaboom?

Played for 1.5 hours on Switch. Cannot get past level 3 on story mode (skill issue, not an issue with the game).
(Edit: took me a long-ass time to get past level 3… Like nearly 3 hours)
This is a wave-based shooter à la Galaga/Space Invaders. If you get hit, the wave starts over. The order of the waves varies too. Very arcade-y.
Everything works well, little things to unlock (e.g. music tracks, boss rush), boss practice mode (thank you!), some humour in the story mode, cool music and pixel art.
Definitely worth the full price.
