You might try ordering from ebay. I find a lot of vendors sell there, and at least you know you’re actually getting the product from the person you ordered from, rather than a box randomly stuffed with “similar” products from all sellers.
A person with way too many hobbies, but I still continue to learn new things.

1·11 days agoI’m in the US and the only time I had to show ID was getting my driver’s license, at which time they automatically registered me for voting. I have never once had to show ID to vote, which is exactly how it should be. Idiots like this already know that the bill won’t change a single election, they just want to prevent women from voting.

2·11 days agoThe government already knows I am a citizen. They knew it when I was born. They knew it when I got my drivers license. They knew it when I got my passport. Explain to me why I need to further prove my citizenship every time I go to cast my vote? Better yet, explain why they are so afraid of letting me cast my vote?
There is nothing sane or reasonable about a bill that is trying to prevent married women from voting. If you think the SAVE act is anything other than outright voter suppression, then you obviously don’t have a clue what is going on. It will not prevent non-citizens from voting, because the only time they even do that is when someone in charge tells them that they can. Since you obviously cannot show any proof that the lies behind the SAVE act would make any difference to real elections, the only logical conclusion here is that you want to prevent women from voting and you don’t really care if our elections are safe and secure. Congrats on that “big win”.

2·11 days agoWell golly, it’s almost as if politicians who actually work for the people instead of billionaires will also try to do things legally. For all the people who say both parties are the same, this right here is a huge glaring hole in their theory.

91·11 days agoFor what reason? You already cannot legally vote unless you are a US citizen, so the whole voter ID thing is only there to suppress more people from voting. It doesn’t do a thing to make elections any more secure.
If you really think this is important, then you can obviously show me a case where so many votes were cast by non-citizens that it affected the outcome of an election?

2·1 month agoI seem to recall last time Trump announced there was a ceasefire, and the Israel cut loose again, Trump was absolutely livid. I still there there could be a chance where Netanyahu pissed off Trump so badly that he cuts all support. Trump might accidentally do something beneficial for the US.

3·2 months agoMissed your reply yesterday, but as we can see today Israel has NOT behaved, and the Straight is closed once again.
And ugh… I hadn’t even considered the cost of the damage to the bases. I knew Hegseth had depleted our stockpile of munitions but I thought the $80b was the cost to replace those, and that still leaves us dangerously exposed for several years. I’m sure Trump probably thinks he can order some on Amazon and have them delivered the next day, that’s just how out of touch he is with reality.

14·2 months agoIs that to cover the $80 billion in missiles launched, or is this just the first installment on that $300 billion which we were assured would not be paid by taxpayers?
I mean, at this point you might as well stop wasting money on the military anyway, we all know the moment anyone attacks us Trump is just going to surrender.

23·2 months agoDamn that’s quite an upgrade in such a short period of time.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been making the horrifying leap from PHP5 to PHP8. I knew it was going to be a lot of work to upgrade all my various scripts and web pages but I’m nearing the end, just have some random CLI scripts still failing that I have to work through.
I’ve been making a big push this year to get all my servers caught up to supported operating system levels. Debian will truly run forever even when it really shouldn’t. I was happy to finally get my mail servers modernized last month. The old code I had relied on for managing spam scanning and such had been abandoned but I finally discovered rspamd which replaced everything plus does so much more. The first couple weeks saw an awful lot of server emails being marked as spam while I trained the new system, seems to be settling in nicely now though, and I created some new spam-trap mailboxes and sprinkled the addresses around several web pages. Nice to see their activity picking up again.
