The Sallet is generally paired with the most badass armors but if we’re only going by helmet looks, I’d go with the Frog-Mouth. It hits different.

5·9 days agoYeah, like actors. It’s definitely not as CGI as Shrek or Toy Story. I find it honestly really weird to call a live action movie “100% CGI” when there clearly are human actors on screen.

6·9 days agoExcept, you know, LotR was had biggest CG battles in movie history up until that point and still ranks pretty high today. They definitely didn’t take the easy route by actually filming a lot of scenes outside while innovating on the CG front dramatically to make huge battles possible the likes of which were deemed nearly impossible at the time, though. There were some large innovations in the Hobbit movies too but they didn’t land. And yeah, too much green screens. They should’ve done it the hard way while still using just as much CG.

25·9 days agoProject Hail Mary and not CG-stuffed? WHAT??? So they actually flew to the sun and found an actual rock alien in a huge space ship to film with? Because no, Rocky isn’t an actual puppet in every single scene. It’s mostly CG and so is the bubble around the guy. I despise this type of sensationalism so much because it spits and pisses on the work of dozens, if not hundreds of VFX artists doing heavy lifting to make movie magic happen. I haven’t watched Odyssey but I’ve seen all his other movies and Nolan himself said he’s heavily reliant on VFX in his acceptance speech at the VES awards 2011. This is a bunch of BS.
TWICE. They voted for him TWICE.
Pokemon is in the merch and nostalgia business, not the gaming business.
Just goes to show, game exclusivity on a shitty overpriced portable console is a bad business practice.
Does it? How? This is a meme about Steam which has nothing to do with Nintendo. How would a PC game even compete with Pokemon at all when that franchise is only sold on Nintendo hardware but more importantly Pokemon is mostly about merch and trading cards anyway. How many trading cards has Palworld sold?
I have dozens of hours in Palworld and don’t see much of a resemblance to Pokemon anyway.

Boycott US@lemmy.ca•Quote of the day by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel: 'I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible' — a foundational thesis of the new tech eliteEnglish
101·20 days agoHe’s right. In his own twisted kind of way. Democracy is in the way of the overly rich to take complete control and become dictators. Being a dictator is their ultimate power fantasy of ‘true freedom’.
I agree that Democracy is not compatible with his definition of giving the richest people on earth the freedom to have planar authority. So we must get rid of them to save democracy and our own freedom.
“The church” as in the Pope didn’t actively hunt witches. In fact most followers of any order were against it and often warned about it. Locals of whatever village or settlement didn’t care, though. They lived their own version of Christianity. I know people love to cite the “Summis desiderantes affectibus” as proof the church ordered witch hunts but that’s not what the document stated at all. It just acknowledged witch craft being a lived reality in parts of today’s Germany so to speak. However some Popes weren’t explicitly against it either. Not like it actually mattered anyway. People tend to believe whatever is useful at the moment and that doesn’t necessarily overlap with “the church”, the Pope or the bible.

Many aspects of Xbox seemed to improve until Microsoft announced a tighter grip around Xbox recently. Now everything is going downhill faster than ever. It’s amazing how quickly Microsoft is demolishing their gaming branch.
