It's starting to feel like Summer! The water park near our home has opened for the season and we went for the first time today. Even though it was 80 degrees outside the water was still pretty cold. Allen really didn't seem to mind. In fact, he kept running around laughing his forced little laugh that I think makes him sound crazy (it's something like, "Ha haha ha!"). He was so brave too. He went down the slide all by himself and would chase after older kids through the toys that spray water. Brad and I were both impressed by how bold he was.

I can't believe he can climb these stairs now. Last year he couldn't climb them or slide on the slides (we had to hold onto him all the way down the baby slides).

This water was the coldest! I can't believe how many times he went down the slide having to be immersed at the end.

Allen tried to jump off these stairs right into the water. I'm tellin' you...he was being very brave. Kind of scary for me. My baby is becoming so independent!

He liked this raft a lot. Daddy told him it was a boat...he was happy as pie!

And this is where he started getting very cold...turning blue actually. He cuddled with Daddy to stay warm and said, "okay" when we suggested going home. :)

I slipped in this picture of Allen with his new bat and ball set. Every time we attend a party or picnic where they have one of these he's glued to it. So we figured it was time for him to have one of his own. This is part of Logan College in the background. We took he and Karma up to the school yesterday to watch Heidi play sand-volleyball and get some energy out on the spacious field.

Just a note: I think it's pretty funny that I keep posting pictures of all of these fun activities. Someone mentioned to me that we must be a really busy and active family when it seems like the contrary has been the truth lately. I think it's that I feel so guilty for keeping my 2 year old cooped up in a single wide trailer most days that we purposefully take him out to do special activities (even if they only last for 1/2 hour or so). I haven't been extremely mobile lately so hopefully that will improve after the baby arrives and I can actually take Allen to do activities that aren't guilt-driven. :) Enjoy!
